I just recently signed up, hoping to post some story ideas I had.

I've read plenty of sex stories here before, including stories that involve sex between teen boys, teen girls, between teen boys and older people, etc. There's literally dozens of them, and even categories for them.

I wrote a story that didn't involve any actual sexual acts, and was more non-erotic fiction than anything else, but included 13yo girls. And it got rejected. So, I'm confused as to what actually trips the 'pedo' alarm here why.

I had another post in the works that's literally just the true story of me discovering anal masturbation as a teen, and starts with me at age 14...I have zero problem with anyone reading it or doing whatever the hell they want while reading it. But will that get rejected too? Why or why not? It seems profoundly silly if I literally couldn't talk about my own teenage sexuality if I wanted to...but could write violent masochistic vore fiction.

Don't state age explicitly if it's under 18. Don't even allude to age under 16.

    Well two questions:

    1. Why is there currently tons of on the sex stories list that DO list ages under 18 that haven't been rejected?

    2. Isn't that rule ASTONISHINGLY STUPID? I can write a story about violent murderous horse rape, but I can't write a story about a 25yo dude feeling conflicted about a 13yo girl with big tits?

No the rules aren’t stupid. The government allows violence on TV but does not allow child porn.

You MAY get away with references that indicate 16-17 but 13-14 will most certainly get you blocked.

Is the book Lolita child porn? We're talking about text here, nothing more. There is no legal restriction that I know of regarding fictional stories that would bind you on this, and no rational reason to do so otherwise.

    1. NCfan
Technicalities a site with links to pornography doesn't need to or want to bother with. It's the old slippery slope. If they allow 13, tehn what about a little younger? Sure there are some people who wouldn't care if you went to 8 years old. "It's just text". There's always a line. It needs to be drawn somewhere. They've decided to draw it where it causes them fewer hassles.

And as always,, you can always go elsewhere.

The owner of the site sets the rules. The rules regarding underage topics have always been in place, they just weren't enforced so you may see some older stories containing under 18 content.
As sites become more profitable they have to deal with banks and the banks don't want to be connected to child sex stories.
If you see a recent story and you feel it violates the policy, you can report it but don't just click "report" on a bunch of stories because you're upset about yours being rejected.
I assume you read the rules prior to clicking on the little box where you claimed to have read the rules.
It's not just you. Sometimes I'll see a comic that is in no way sexual but I think it's funny. It gets rejected. I know the rules but sometimes I get ahead of myself.
The Mod is pretty understanding about oops moments. He'll delete them and tell you why. If you persist in posting them, he'll ban your account.
It's pretty forward. No about people under 18. No stories, videos, photos, drawing or comics. Even of a non-sexual nature.
You can always demand a full refund.

Ultimately I'm aware you can't fight city hall. I'm just trying to argue whether it's reasonable or not. It's a complicated issue to get into, but as social media sites conglomerate and become centralized, I think they become de-facto public forums, and the idea of "rules are rules, just go somewhere else" stops working. For example, if you're someone who wants to create media content, and you're not allowed on Youtube, Twitch, Twitter, etc., you basically don't exist in the world. And we miss out on that is different, challenging, controversial, etc. because of it. Obviously this is less an issue here, as this is not the only place to post sex stories, but I'm still quite sure this will not be the only place that will have that policy. And that starts to get troublesome. There's another world where adults can not get hysterical and lose all nuance over anything even tangentially related to child predation, and in my opinion that's the world to aim for.

    1. NCfan
I disagree. We really don't NEED stories about adult preying on children sexually. Actually we don't NEED any of this but someone has created a site with their rules. So we get to play here and post stories. I doubt they intend it to be a forum for discussing society's boundaries.

There's no 'nuance' to child porn. The world you aim for will get you Chris Hansen suggesting you take a seat.

Of course there is nuance and complexity, on multiple levels. Keeping to talking about text, I had a story in the works that was the true story of me experimenting with anal masturbation as I grew up. I started at about 14, and it ended with me about 18 or 19. The appeal of such a story is 1. Sharing your life experience and sexuality with people, and connecting with them about it. 2. Learning and understanding how people are, and what they do sexually, including at a younger age, and how all that works. 3. Enjoying the nostalgia of what it was like to discover things anew at those ages, and how horny and excited you got experimenting.

And beyond that, I, quite frankly, don't mind if some people here were going to jerk off thinking about cute blonde teenage me shoving a makeshift dildo in my ass. Honestly, it's a turn on to think about them doing that. They could have commented that they were doing that and I might have gotten off on it. And if I have no problem with it, I'm not sure who else gets to complain.

Yet that story would be labeled 'pedo child porn'. That's silly.

The other story I was writing that got rejected was a fictional story, and one that involved, to my best skill, an exploration of complexities and grey areas and, yes, how people can fool themselves. The older party in that story wasn't absolutely doing something good, just like any character in fiction is not required to always do the right thing. I was planning on completing the story with an ending that left things open to questioning. I suppose you could say I'm aiming a bit high for a site that's mostly stroke material, but people write more serious and high quality stories here sometimes. I would offer a quote illustrating a piece of what I'm talking about, but I don't know if that will get deleted.

And of course we can go into a very long and extended debate about all the issues beyond text with these things. Years ago swaths of teenagers were on early video streaming apps taking their clothes off, filming themselves masturbating, etc. And some laws actually wanted to say that all of them were guilty of being child pornographers, and punished accordingly. Or the same thing for the girl in high school who sent a couple of nudes to her boyfriend. That's absurd, to the point it makes me angry to think about the kids who fell under the blade of that hysteria.

With actual sex, the developed world cannot agree what the proper age of consent is. Some people can have horrible experiences being used and manipulated at 18, and others can have enjoyable experiences they don't regret at 14. I remember being that age myself, and the fantasies I had about a friend of the family in her 20's. If that had actually happened to me, it's could have been mind-blowing. Maybe the problem would have even been that it would be SO mind-blowing that I would spend the rest of my life finding nothing compared...I've actually heard men who had a similar thing happen to them talk about that being the case. And obviously we don't traumatize ourselves masturbating as young teens. So what is it that is the problem? If it's just about horny, and no one's heart is involved, does it just become a fun experience? Is it growing up and realizing a person you thought you trusted had manipulated you, if that's actually what happened?

I don't entirely know, but I find it interesting, and filled with complexities and nuance. I think we grow our understanding by exploring these ideas. I also think there's a rather insane strain of moral panic in society that wants to say no one can illicit arousal in an adult until the very day of their 18th birthday, and no one could ever have an enjoyable or otherwise un-traumatic sexual experience with an older party before that. And we somehow have to all go around pretending that makes sense, even though we know it doesn't. It even goes so insane that on a website where you can write stories about taking sexual enjoyment about slicing a woman's tits off and eating them, I can't tell you about my first orgasm.

I really can't see how you can even begin to defend that as reasonable, let alone be so confident that there's nothing wrong with that picture.

And some people just use so called "nuance" as a way around rules so they can continue practices that are against the law and likely harmful to children. Again, where's the line? You're ok with 14. Then next guy thinks 12 is fine. Then the next guy.....

So they drew a line. And that's it on THIS site.

Well the rules here are determined by the people that own the site. Instead of being obtuse and continuing to flog a dead horse, why not just go and buy your own web domain an start a site that you can post whatever you want on it?

Or maybe edit your story to not mention a specific age instead?

I also scratch my head about what IS and what is NOT allowed in the Stories section.
There's a 'young' category but anything less than '18' is almost certainly rejected.
There's a 'first time' category. I don't know how many of YOU explored sex when younger but I can't mention my age or my post would be rejected.
However, first time experiences between participants of the same age I find fun to read. If an older is enticing a younger then I reject that myself. I'm no 'pedo'.
    Then, there's 'taboo'....
'Incest' is totally illegal in most countries but there's a category for stories there and a ton of them listed.
In THAT category there seems to be many father/daughter or mom/son stories where ages are sometimes suggested younger than usually allowed here.
Those are not all that arousing in my own opinion but obviously do titillate many readers.
How about the 'snuff' category? How illegal is THAT? How does that arouse anybody? But there it is....I don't go there...I abhors me.
So yeah, this website IS hypocritical.

The videos of 'role play' tip to many 'illegal' suggested scenes. It's actually funny when they HAVE to say....well, we're not REALLY related...
We're 'step' brother and sister....So THEN it's OK....

It's as hypocritical as the Japanese videos with pixilated 'naughty bits' but actually depict some pretty nasty sex and totally tip the scales of 'taboo' categories.

    I shrug my shoulders......

Here's the big issue...and before talking about it I do want to say that I recognize that this forum isn't the worst. There are other places on social media that surely would have brought the hammer down on even this conversation, both in terms of the gang up of people criticizing, and the mods which would step in and lock the thread ban me for even making the argument. That hasn't happened here, and as comment threads go this one is less toxic than you'd get on reddit or twitter or the like. So I appreciate that the people here more seem to resemble reasonable and open adults than I'm used to elsewhere on the internet.

But the biggest problem is this: I was really looking forward to sharing my ideas with people. I was excited about it. It felt good to take those ideas and put them in text, and open myself up to people hearing my thoughts and imagination. I AM a bit of a shut-in; I can't blame it all on COVID, it was probably much the case much before that. This was a step in a certain direction for me. Positively received, I also had some ideas for audio stories I wanted to share. From there maybe I would finally dare to make a serious fetlife or other social profile, and so on. Even before anything was published, I was preemptively excited to have people enjoy it (The writing process and thinking about people reading actually led to a really great masturbation session as well...and that thrill is now gone). Hopefully I'm getting across that this was a strongly pro-social, connecting experience that could have happened, if I simply could have shared my ideas without fuss.

Instead, what has happened has made me feel like going "oh well, why even try". It's another one of those things that makes you feel like you live in a world that so obviously makes no sense, and the people who make the biggest noise about how important it is to accept people are telling you how horrible you are even though you're not doing anything wrong. People who want to write vicious, violent, cheap material that is so clearly deeply hateful or psychopathic in it's imaginations (and I defend their right to do it) are invited to the party, but I'm not. Apparently I'm worse? That's the sense I get, like the only reason I would ever want to share what it was like to masturbate as a teen, is because I've got an 8yo kid locked in my basement or something. Yeah, that is hurtful to be treated like that.

If not here, certainly not Literotica or reddit, so now I'm basically seeing that there's probably no major forum I could join and be a part of and share my creative ideas on. And so in some way, it's back into the shell I go certainly feel like going. And that's unfortunate.

I remember once reading an article in a fairly mainstream publication where the author talked about how she first learned to masturbate. How she first used a stuffed rabbit she had near her bed, and then later her fingers, etc. And it was simply her thinking and reflecting on her sexuality and how it developed over time. Was that article kiddie porn? You literally cannot tell a story like that, about something almost all of us have experienced in some form? But stories about wanting to fuck decapitated cheerleaders are kosher?

Are the decapitated cheerleaders 18 or older?

There are rules. Even though it's just text. On network TV you can show people being shot in cold blood, but you can't show a husband and wife having sex. We live by the rules of the organizations we join.

As I've said several times on this thread. There's the slippery slope argument. Should someone be able to talk about Uncle Joe teaching him how to masturbate at 12? 10? 8?

If it's a fictional story, then yes I don't think there's anything more wrong with that than there is writing a story about cooking women alive, and in both cases the actual of the stories matters. You can tell a brilliant or a super cheap story about either. As long as it's just words, it doesn't matter. I once read a bit of a story, I forget where, possibly here, that was like 20 parts, and involved men who were abusing two pre-pubescent boys, from the boys perspective. It was not sexy, in fact it was nauseating at times, but it was really well written, and often existed on this weird line between erotic and horrifying, which IMO is a literary accomplishment. There was no sense of championing pedophilia condemning it either. It just did what good fiction does: Depict something really well, and let the reader think for themselves. That story series was, to my mind, a cut above most things I've ever read on an erotica site. I'm glad it existed.

I'm not holding on to any hope that I am about to change the rules here by talking about this, like I said before you can't fight city hall. What we're doing now is simply arguing the ideas and principles. When you mention network TV though, I would ask, DOES the way network TV operated, and still operates, make good sense? I think a show like Criminal Minds is not far removed from snuff porn, and that it's cheap and sensational despite the thin veneer of supposedly saying the acts it depicts are wrong. But yes, apparently showing a boob is worse, according to CBS. Many people have expressed thoughts about how dumb that is. And I'm not sure why saying 'those are the rules' nullifies that they are probably stupid fucking rules that we shouldn't champion people who attempt to defy or fight for something more sensible.

By your logic, when MTV bleeped all references to marijuana in the 90's , which now seems like the most absurd thing ever watching old music video clips (I was just watching one of these, which is why it's in my mind as an example), those were just the rules, and no one should have pointed out that they were a bit silly, they should have just accepted it. I don't know how you can think like that, it's so alien to me. Much better to have said at the time "What they are doing is ridiculous and makes no sense," yes? Isn't that almost a responsibility when you see something like that?

It's also weird on another level, because "rules are rules", and that order and hierarchy mindset, is a deeply conservative mindset. And I would be surprised if everyone I'm talking to right now is a hardcore right-winger. I imagine some people here champion the opposite mentality with regard to other things, but fall back on 'rules are rules' here, because it's the only argument left to dig heels in with before admitting I'm making complete sense.

You don't ahve to champion pedophilia to make presenting it on a private forum wrong.

The government takes a hard view of such things. Yes the line can be vague. The owners of this site choose not to mess with the line. Just because YOU want to be able to write about it doesn't mean they want to publish it. Who knows, maybe someday they world will come around to your way of thinking. After all Henry Miller's novels were pornograhic and banned in the 50s. Maybe someday the world will read with glee the days of The Virtuous One jerking off.

Yawn... you come into someone else's home and not only complain about the house rules but actively lobby to change their rules...

There are other houses... or build your own house.

Better yet.. just post your fucking story and say you were 18... why is it critical everyone knows the exact age you were? It seems like u need that message to be put out there in which case I'd say it's more about that than the coming of age story you are trying to say it's about.

Either post your story and figure out how to within house rules or shaddup about the rules... please

It should bother you much more than it bothers me if your house rules make so little sense. It's also not like your house isn't already cluttered with the things I'm talking about, either. But I'll stop straining the metaphor...

What other sites are there to go to? The other major places, from what I've seen, are more strict and restrictive than this place is, not less.

I thought about just not saying ages saying 18, and yes, it doesn't work as well. It works much better with ages, and makes much more sense. You wouldn't suggest Nabokov's Lolita wouldn't be at all harmed by not being able to mention the age of the characters. And more importantly, the author decided it was important to say that, therefore it was important to say that. I'm not as good a writer as that, but that's not really the issue. It's also that it's just SUCH a silly thing, that I can't bear to go along with the ridiculousness of it.

Like all the stories on here that aren't your thing that you're not required to read, you're not required to engage in this conversation with me. I'm not yelling in your ear, you don't even have to look at this thread.

Actually I've decided what I might do now is write a story inspired by this debate, we'll see how it comes out.
