And I think this will also play out in 2022 with Trump and the treasonous conservative/Republicans attacking Roe v Wade.

Conservative: Trump’s ‘authoritarian impulses’ mobilized women voters against him

    Alex Henderson, AlterNet
    September 20, 2021

    Donald Trump (AFP)
Washington Post columnist Jennifer Rubin voted Republican in nine presidential elections in a row, starting with Ronald Reagan in 1980 and ending with Mitt Romney in 2012. But the conservative columnist was so repulsed by Donald Trump's misogyny that she voted for Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Joe Biden in 2020, and the fact that Trump turned off so many female voters is the focus of Rubin's new book, "Resistance: How Women Saved Democracy from Donald Trump," due out this Tuesday, September 21.

Rubin, in fact, believes that Trumpism has been so toxic for the Republican Party that she no longer describes herself as "conservative" — a word she believes Trumpistas have tainted and sullied. The Post columnist, born in the early 1960s, was never a far-right culture warrior, but she was a Republican along the lines of former Pennsylvania Gov. Tom Ridge, former New Jersey Gov. Christie Todd Whitman and the late Sen. Arlen Specter of Pennsylvania.

In an except from her book published by the Washington Post, Rubin explains, "Donald Trump's victory in 2016 came as a shock to Republican-leaning women like me who had crossed party lines to vote for Hillary Clinton. I had always voted Republican for president — from my first vote, for Ronald Reagan, to my last, for Mitt Romney. I admired mainstream Republicans who were dedicated to victory in the Cold War. I looked to free markets for expanded economic opportunity and embraced free trade and robust legal immigration."

Rubin adds, "If I differed with 'movement conservatives' on some issues, I appreciated their preference for incrementalism and resistance to allowing centralized power to bigfoot the 'laboratories of democracy.' I shared their wariness that the executive branch had aggrandized power at the expense of Congress."

The fact that Rubin voted for Clinton in 2016 after voting GOP in nine presidential elections in a row showed how low an opinion she had of Trump. Although Rubin had her disagreements with Clinton, she reasoned that a Clinton presidency would be much better than four years of Trump.

"I watched in horror in 2016 as Republicans embraced a racist bully bent on undermining our democracy and promoting White Christians' quest for political dominance," Rubin recalls. "I witnessed one conservative 'intellectual' and 'respectable' publication after another deny, then rationalize, then defend and then laud a detestable figure who repudiated principles and positions that once animated them. I saw social conservatives who demonized Bill Clinton swoon at the feet of a serial liar, adulterer and racist whose cruelty became a central feature of his presidency."

Rubin, in the book except, goes on to say that female voters have played a crucial role in the anti-Trump movement — and that includes former Republicans like herself.

"Trump's election had awakened women who imagined that our democracy was secure from a homegrown authoritarian and that their progress toward full equality was irreversible," Rubin explains. "In following women I otherwise might never have known or agreed with, I joined a broad alliance between Democrats and former Republicans bound together in a common effort to prevent devastating corruption of public institutions and contain Trump's authoritarian impulses."

In 2020, Rubin was glad to see Democrats nominate Biden, as she saw him as the most electable Democratic candidate and believed that four more years of Trump would be disastrous for the United States.

"Roughly nine months into Biden's term," Rubin writes, "we have not erased the scourge of Trumpism. Nor has Biden's performance been flawless…. If anything, I now worry that Democrats lack the instinct for the jugular needed to expose the GOP's seditious conduct, habitual lying and radical obstructionism. The Democrats' naive belief that policies alone can win the day is misplaced when opponents will stop at nothing — not voter suppression, not remorseless disinformation and not race-baiting — to secure power."

Not unlike how Trumpies allowed Obama into their lives after him being out of office, by trying to blame EVERYTHING that Trump failed at on Obama! You know the thread I'm talking about!

Yeah, conservative reality is pretty stupid... Especially when you live in Trumpland! He still thinks he won! And all in a vain attempt to get reelected and appease their voters, how many other Republicans have spouted the same rhetoric they know to be false? And you accuse Democrats of being delusional, but Donny boy takes the cake and the ice cream and won't share!

Trump super PAC fires Corey Lewandowski over new sexual misconduct allegations

Longtime Trump associate Corey Lewandowski has been fired from a pro-Trump super PAC after he allegedly made unwanted sexual advances toward a female donor.

The New York Times' Maggie Haberman reports that a Trump spokesperson confirmed on Wednesday night that Lewandowski will no longer run Make America Great Again Action and will instead being going on to "other endeavors."

The spokesperson added that Lewandowski "will no longer be associated with Trump World."

Taking his place will be former Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, whom the spokesperson said "has our complete faith and confidence in taking over MAGA Action."

Earlier on Wednesday, Politico reported that Trashelle Odom, the wife of Idaho construction executive John Odom, accused Lewandowski of repeatedly touching her buttocks and of boasting about his penis size.

I believe this is true. Trump has no problem with sexual harassers. He's a sexual harasser himself. But as Stephanie Grisham writes in her book everyone in Trump world is like milk with an expiration date. And eventually Trump will throw them out.

This is what really got Corey Lewandowski booted from Trump’s orbit -- and it wasn’t his unwanted advances: Maggie Haberman

    youtu.be
Corey Lewandowski was kicked out of Donald Trump's inner circle -- but not for the reasons that have been widely reported.

Trump's former campaign manager and longtime adviser was cut loose from the twice-impeached one-term president's orbit Wednesday after a donor's wife accused him of making unwanted advances, but another former adviser told New York Times reporter Maggie Haberman the real reason he fell out of favor.

"A former Trump adviser makes the point that Lewandowski has been accused of a wide range of this kind of behavior for years [but] what moved Trump was that it was hard for Lewandowski to raise money now, and that Trump is focused on advisers appearing to make [money] off access to him," Haberman tweeted.

"Key is anyone saying they 'control' Trump or his orbit," she added. "While there are a number of people who believe that to be true about themselves, when it gets said aloud, it provokes a reaction."

Lewandowski out, per Trump spokesman: “Pam Bondi…has our complete faith and confidence in taking over MAGA Action. Corey Lewandowski will be going on to other endeavors and we very much want to thank him for his service. He will no longer be associated with Trump World.”

Lewandowski had allegedly attempted to intimidate his victim by claiming that he had control over Trump's inner circle and had the power to determine the fate of anyone inside the former president's orbit. "Lewandowski said no candidate receives the president's endorsement without [his] approval," Politico reported.

It is amazing how relevant this thread still is. Because in MAGA world its still 2020. Traitor Trump is still screaming the election was stolen from him and he is still the rightful president. And treasonous conservative/Republicans continue to push The Big Lie and rush to end free and fair elect6ions in the US. And as always there is no one Trump won't use as a prop and no lie he won't tell. This is just sick.

A US Marine told a Trump rally he was 'the guy that pulled the baby over the wall' in Afghanistan. He's now under investigation, report says.

    • An August 19 video showed a US Marine lifting a baby over razor wire outside Kabul airport.
    • At a Trump rally last Saturday, Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark appeared to claim he was that Marine.
    • The DOD is now investigating Clark over his appearance at a political event, per Task & Purpose.
The Department of Defense is investigating a US Marine who told a Trump rally to be "the guy that pulled the baby over the wall" in Kabul, Task & Purpose reported.

An August 19 video taken during the frenzied US military pullout from Kabul showed a US Marine hoisting a tiny baby girl over a razor-wire fence outside Kabul airport.

At a "Save America" rally in Perry, Georgia, last Saturday, Lance Cpl. Hunter Clark appeared to claim he was that Marine.

"Hey my name's Lance Corporal Hunter Clark, I'm here from Warner Robins, Georgia. I am the guy that pulled the baby over the wall and it's definitely probably one of the greatest things I've ever done in my entire life," he said.

"I just want to thank all of the support from all of y'all it really means a lot and I'm glad to be home now today, thank you."

    Watch his appearance here:

While Clark did not say when he helped evacuate a baby, Clark's command told Task & Purpose that Clark was not the Marine seen in the August 19 video.

Clark is also under investigation as a result of his appearance, Task & Purpose reported.

"The 24th Marine Expeditionary Unit has initiated a command investigation regarding LCpl Hunter Clark's attendance at the event last weekend to determine if any DoD policies were violated," Capt. Kelton J. Cochran, a spokesman for the 24th MEU, told the outlet.

Cochran did not say what policies Clark may have violated, but Department of Defense guidelines prohibit US troops from speaking "before a partisan political gathering, including any gathering that promotes a partisan political party, candidate, or cause."

The Department of Defense did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

Clark did not wear his uniform at the Trump rally and he did not go on to make any political statements.

Former aide Omarosa: Trump 'needs to come clean about his health'

    Sarah K. Burris
    October 03, 2021

    Omarosa Manigault Newman on MSNBC.
Fresh off of her court win against President Donald Trump, Omarosa Manigault Newman told Rev. Al Sharpton that if her former boss runs in 2024, he should be more honest with the American people about his health.

Rev. Sharpton asked if she thought Trump would run in the next presidential election and she said that he probably would if his health would allow him. If he does, however, she said he should be upfront with the American people about things she implied he's been hiding.

"I think going into 2024, I'm really more concerned about the fact that Donald Trump hasn't come forward and talked about his health," she said. "I don't know if he will even be healthy enough to run in 2024. I think he needs to come clean to the American people about where he is on that before deciding to get into a very stressful and strenuous race for the White House."

Trump got extremely ill when he contracted COVID-19 and according to a Feb. 2021 report from the New York Times, Trump's lungs had "infiltrates" and officials feared he'd need a ventilator. Journalists Damian Paletta and Yasmeen Abutaleb also discussed in their book, Nightmare Scenario, that doctors were concerned about organ failure while Trump was at Walter Reed.

Trump's niece, Dr. Mary Trump said that as someone who had severe asthma as a child, she could recognize that her uncle was struggling to breathe when he arrived back at the White House and climbed the steps to the second floor. Trump hasn't revealed if he has any lingering problems from contracting the virus.

Trump made former Secretary Hillary Clinton's health a major part of his 2016 conspiracy theories. He attempted to do the same with now-President Joe Biden, but it didn't work a second time.

Trump also had his doctor write a letter that proclaimed his health as the best he'd ever seen. The letter then drew criticism about the doctor's credentials and there were questions about whether Trump was hiding something. There were then questions about Trump's health after the White House doctor was outed as "the candy man" for handing out pills to whatever staffer sought them. That doctor, Ronny Jackson, then ran for Congress and currently serves as a far-right Republican from Texas.

And Obama lives on in deplorable minds. They've claimed Biden's term is just the third Obama term... Get over it, Trump is still far more relevant than you think, just look how many Republicans he gets to carry his water! It only took governor Abbott less than 8 hours to fulfill Trump's command of starting a recount NINE MONTHS after the person who won had been sworn in...

Stop pretending Trump isn't relevant, there are far too many Republicans that Bob His Knob for that to happen...

It is also laughable your attempt to compare 2016 and 2020. Show me one case that was raised after January 6th, 2017!

Say there, genius, you do understand that when someone says biden is just Obama's third term, they're talking about political agendas. Right?

And it would appear trump is far more in the minds of despicables than deplorables. It's interesting they keep making their comments about him sexual.

Trump admits he may not run in 2024 for 'health' reasons

Former President Donald Trump revealed recently that he may not run for another term in 2024 due to health reasons.

During an interview with Real Clear Politics, the former president was asked what could prevent him from running in 2024.

“Well, one reason could be your health. You get a call from your doctor and that's the end of that," Trump explained. “That stuff happens; you hope it doesn't. I just had a medical, just had great result. You never know, there are many things can happen; politics is a crazy world. It is a big commitment of you, your children, your wife and your family."

But Trump predicted that “people will be very happy with my decision."

He also suggested that his new slogan will be “Make America Great Again, Again."

Omarosa Manigault Newman, a former White House adviser, said over the weekend that Trump needs to "come clean" about his health.

"I think going into 2024, I'm really more concerned about the fact that Donald Trump hasn't come forward and talked about his health," she told MSNBC on Sunday. "I don't know if he will even be healthy enough to run in 2024. I think he needs to come clean to the American people about where he is on that before deciding to get into a very stressful and strenuous race for the White House."

GOP megadonor says he won't back Trump in 2024: 'Time for America to move on'

    Matthew Chapman

On Monday, Bloomberg News reported that a GOP megadonor has slammed the door on backing former President Donald Trump for a 2024 presidential run.

"Hedge fund manager Ken Griffin, a major donor to Republicans, ruled out supporting Donald Trump for another run for president," reported Alan Mirabella. "'I think it's time for America to move on,' he said in a discussion Monday with Erik Schatzker at the Economic Club of Chicago."

This comes amid reporting from The Washington Post that Trump had to be talked out of an early announcement by his top aides, although he still wants to run and continues to drop hints that an announcement may come in the future.

Griffin is a major donor to Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, who has also been rumored to have presidential ambitions, although he has stated that he doesn't currently have any plans to run.

The Griffin-DeSantis relationship became marred with controversy after reports that Griffin is heavily invested in Regeneron, which makes a monoclonal COVID-19 antibody treatment DeSantis has aggressively pushed even as he mounts legal and political battles against local mask and vaccine mandates. DeSantis' campaign has denied any conflict of interest, arguing that Griffin's portfolio also contains shares of COVID-19 vaccinemakers Pfizer and Moderna.

The Traitor Trump cult followers can't even see this happening. They are still stuck on Trump. The majority of Americans are moving on and backing the Biden agenda. Which is why Trump is so desperately trying to get back on twitter. When he had twitter there w2as no escaping his mental illness that infected the whole country. He could keep it before the whole country 24/7/365.

Interest in 'attention-starved' Trump in 'free fall': report

    Tom Boggioni
    October 06, 2021

In an effort to understand Donald Trump's latest attempt to sue his way back onto Twitter, Axios is reporting that the "attention-starved" former president is likely aware that he is becoming yesterday's news as the public appears to be moving on.

Last week the one-term president asked a federal judge to force the social media platform to allow him back on after his banning two days after the Jan 6th insurrection -- a legal move that many experts say has no chance.

As MSNBC analyst Jessica Levinson explained, "Trump's first assertion is that Twitter is violating his First Amendment rights by censoring him. Perhaps one of the most common misconceptions regarding the First Amendment is that it protects our right to say whatever we want without limits. This is grossly incorrect. The First Amendment protects us against government censorship. A private individual or group can absolutely tell you to shut the hell up, and in this case, to get off its platform."

With that in mind, Axios noted that interest in Trump and his antics -- as measured by engagement metrics-- has collapsed, which could put a crimp in both his fundraising efforts as well as reported plans to make a third presidential run.

As Axios' Neal Rothschild writes, "Donald Trump's post-office online engagement is hitting new lows, according to exclusive data from SocialFlow provided to Axios," before elaborating, "Trump has tried press releases styled as tweets, launched his own "platform" and held campaign-style rallies, yet the numbers suggest his social media megaphone has no true replacement."

Getting into the numbers, the Axios report states, "Clicks to Trump content dropped 37% in August and September compared to the two months prior, according to the data. It measures clicks from social media posts referred from SocialFlow's network of publishers. The decline marked a 50% dip compared to March — the first month Trump free-fell from the news after February's impeachment trial."

Even more worrisome for the former president is the fact that stories about Trump -- as opposed to his almost daily "statements" posted by his spokesperson on Twitter -- are also falling flat with news-seekers.

"Interest in those Trump stories also is going down. Per article, they are averaging 28% less engagement on social media in August and September," Axios reports.

One thing is for sure, we can always count on RS bullshit to be brought to the table tyo promote some political infighting when it comes to any real conservatives...only illustrating that RS is total partisan hack fuck horseshit.

Also, it takes more than one mega-donor to jump ship, it'll take several million donors to jump ship, if Trump runs in '24.

Yeah, Shooter doesn't see Trump running in 24 or any other time.
If he did, certainly wouldn't get very far.
Although the despicables seem intent on keeping trump in the news.
    Wonder why that is?
Cause they think it'll keep deplorables distracted?
Or cause the alternative to trump in the news cycle is biden/harris in the news cycle?

As a country we really need to get away from electing these characters just because the alternative isn't acceptable and actually electing someone because we agree with their politics and their plan.

    You know, like with ............................

    Well, you know.

Wondering why they keep Trump in the headlines do ya?....one answer...

THEY ARE SCARED SHITLESS OF HIM...STILL.

They fought him tooth and nail while he was POTUS....because he was actually working for the people not the swamp, they couldn't control him, now they have to destroy his name...at all costs.

Well, but see, Shooter learned early on, leave em with the best impression you can.
    They'll remember.

So trump goes out in a blaze of "they stole it from me" which we all know, a pity party is something Americans don't set well with.

If they left it at that trump would probably go down in history as a poor loser. And no one would remember his economy, or his unemployment rate or his immigration plan.

But instead the despicables keep coming up with this "and he left skids in his underwear" nonsense, and what that's doing, is giving despicables this bad reputation of kicking a man when he's on the ground and out of the fight.

Which Americans despise more than a poor loser.

Nope. Shooter thinks its cause biden/harris would be sucked into the news vacuum and that is NOT what despicables can tolerate.

It can be both, not likely tho, you forget, the activist media is in cahoots with the hack fuck leftists...the activist media can and will control what's in the headlines.

They smear Conservative actions and toss by the way-side the actions of the hack fuck leftists.

'Psycho' Trump is alienating wealthy GOP voters in Mar-a-Lago's Palm Beach County: report

Wealthy, white, college-educated Republicans in Palm Beach County — home to his Mar-a-Lago resort — are turning on former president Donald Trump.

"A Palm Beach Post review of election records and interviews with more than a dozen voters suggests discontent with the 45th president has brewed in country clubs, yoga studios and higher-end neighborhoods where Republican presidential candidates once dominated," the newspaper reported Wednesday, adding that "even as he trounced Biden in the Sunshine State, Trump's margins in precincts comfortably won by predecessor Republican nominees either shrank or went underwater."

David Lichtman, a 63-year-old technical director for a multinational airplane parts testing company, told the newspaper that he voted for Trump in 2016 — but recently switched his party registration to Independent.

"I am not in love with Biden, but he's not a psycho," Lichtman said. "I blame the whole Republican Party. They were perpetuating this lie that led to January 6."

Robert Himelfarb, a 67-year-old semi-retired hedge fund manager, said he voted for Trump in 2016 and Mitt Romney in 2012. But in 2020, he voted for Biden, helping to flip his precinct in Mirasol, where houses sell for upward of $2 million and residents have access to a private golf course and country club.

"I voted for Trump originally because I bought into the story of 'It's time we got rid of politicians and have a businessman running things,'" said Himelfarb, who worked for Ford Motor Co. for 37 years.

"I know what a CEO is supposed to do, pull everybody together and get stuff done. … He never tried to get everyone in a room the way (CEO) Al Mulally did at Ford," Himelfarb added, pointing to "cabinet member after cabinet member" leaving Trump's administration, and citing "poor leadership"

"Everyone who was close to him said he was a 'f*ckin' moron,'" Himelfarb said, repeating what Trump's first secretary of state, Rex Tillerson, reportedly called him during a 2017 Pentagon meeting.

Thomas Gritter, a 39-year-old registered Republican and self-described "born-again Christian," said that when he looks at members of his faith who still support Trump and the GOP, he thinks, "Wow, you guys are insane. You're ... openly racist, openly cynical about everything. And that allows the Democratic Party to be the voice of reason."

"Do I want to give the Republicans in Washington, who are Trump-loving crazies, one more vote?" Gritter said.

The trend is also visible in other parts of the state, where 67,462 voters who were registered Republicans in January are no longer with the GOP, compared to only 55,998 former Democrats.

"There is a class of formerly Republican voters who really do not like Donald Trump," University of Central Florida political science Professor Aubrey Jewett told the newspaper. "And they tend to be college-educated white voters."

Nevertheless, Republican Party officials say they aren't concerned — in part because they are registering new voters at a much faster clip.

"What we see in Florida is an exodus of traditional Republicans," Jewett said. "But they've been replaced by these voters who are attracted to the new Trumpified Republican Party."
