Knoxville station can’t keep track of which local shooting they’re showing video of

On Monday, violence and chaos in Knoxville, Tennessee reached such a pitch that a local news station confusedly covered one shooting with footage of another shooting happening near the first shooting at the same time.

"Ah, gotcha, I forgot about the other shooting," said the anchor. "So this is actually live."

The first shooting in question was a mass shooting at Austin-East High School, which has reportedly left several casualties including a police officer. The second shooting has fewer details, but it was reported a mile away from the first shooting, with Knox County sheriff's deputies responding to the incident.

The 2nd amendment says you can carry a gun and if you feel like go out and practice you shooting on live innocent people.

 

It will end when people stop voting for conservative/Republicans to save their own lives. Instead of falling for bullshit that it takes a good guy with a gun to stop a bad but with a gun. The good guy with a gun is laying dead in the parking lot and the bad guy with a gun shot himself after shooting more than a dozen people with what one witness called a "machine gun."

 

I have not confirmed this through other sources but CNN is reporting this mass shooting follows a very familiar pattern. The shooter was reported to police and the FBI but still managed to have an assault weapon.

Three Dead, Two Injured in Kenosha Mass Shooting

Three people were killed and two others injured after someone opened fire inside The Somers House Tavern in Kenosha County, Wisconsin, early Sunday morning, Kenosha County Sheriff's Department spokesperson Sgt. David Wright told CNN. The latest mass shooting took place at 12:42 a.m. and the suspect, who was described as a Black man at least six feet tall, was still at large. Kenosha County Sheriff David Beth said at an early morning press conference that there could be other perpetrators involved, but that the public was not at risk. “I know that there was a confrontation obviously inside the building and I believe just outside the building there was another confrontation with gunfire. So there could be more than one, absolutely,” Beth said. “Obviously we never know for sure, but I don’t believe the people in this area are in harm’s way because of this suspect not being captured.” Identities of the victims have not yet been released.

So, Colorado has the so called "red flag" law. Basically, if someone thinks someone else might be unstable enough, or in crisis and maybe thinking about guns and violence and shit the cops can go grab the guys guns and hold them until he goes to court and convinces the judge he isn't going to shoot up someone(s).

It was a big deal when passed, with a couple of Sheriffs saying fuck that, we ain't gonna have anything to do with it, and liberals hopping up and down about now we're all safe and then it kind of died down. Until, you know, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa walked into a Boulder grocery store and started shooting. With a Ruger he'd just LEGALLY bought from a gun store, even though his family apparently thought he was nuttier than a can of peanuts and were not shy about saying so, you know, even as the bodies were being carried out of the grocery store.

So, the red flag law is a perfect example of why more laws don't solve gun violence. We already have laws on the books aimed at keeping rascals from owning guns, and we have laws in place to keep shit like machine guns from being the first choice for the open carry crowd, and we have laws in place to know, somewhat, who has which guns.

The problem is, laws alone aren't the answer. People, meaning all of us, need to be vigilant about this and ready to step up and say "that fellow says he was butt fucked by Martians last night and says he's going Martian hunting today". And we need to be ready to report Uncle Joe, who has 300 guns and 50,000 rounds of ammo and thinks the liberals are commie rats who need to die. And we need to report the rascals in our midst who have illegal guns. And we need to be ready to back up cops when they get into shoot outs with rascals waving guns. Or knives. Or bats. Or frozen bottles of water. Or industrial lasers.

And we need to embrace the 2nd amendment and defend it as rabidly as we do the 1st amendment and for that matter, all of the amendments, and the bill of rights, and the constitution.

Conservative/Republicans forfeited any right they had to talk about the Constitution with any credibility when they turned traitors against the Constitution and the United States of America. Once a traitor always a traitor and they cannot be believed.

And that is true when they try to claim new laws won't help prevent mass shootings. They lie and scream enforce the laws we have which isn't really possible because there are so many different states and different laws they tend to cancel each other out. We need a national "red flag" law and a national database. So when someone has his gun taken away from him and both local police and the FBI were involved that person's identity is in the data base and he is prevented from buying assault weapons capable of shooting 14 people in about two minutes.

Suspect in FedEx shooting used two assault rifles he bought legally: police

The suspect in a mass shooting at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis, Ind., used two assault rifles during the attack that he purchased legally, police said Saturday.

Brandon Scott Hole, 19, allegedly open fire on a Fedex facility late Thursday evening, resulting in the deaths of eight people. He was identified as the suspect by Friday afternoon.

The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirmed on Twitter that Hole was “witnessed using assault rifles in the assault.”

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) traced the two weapons, and found that Hole legally purchased them in July and September of 2020.

The update comes after the FBI revealed that Hole's mother in March of 2020 warned that her son might try to commit "suicide by cop."

The Indianapolis Metro Police Department last year placed Hole “on an immediate detention mental health temporary hold” after officials received the warning, the FBI said.

The FBI investigated after a shotgun was uncovered in Hole's bedroom, which was not returned to him following interviews.

Indianapolis Police Chief Randal Taylor told The New York Times that Hole's ability to legally purchase a gun despite his mother's warning meant that he was not subjected to the state's "red flag" law, which prohibits those deemed a risk by a judge from possessing a firearm.

Hole, a former FedEx employee, drove into the parking lot of the facility and began opening fire. He then went inside the building, where he shot himself before officers arrived, according to police.

Deputy Police Chief Craig McCartt said Friday that about 100 employees were present at the facility during the shooting.

The victims were identified as 32-year-old Matthew Alexander, 19-year-old Samaria Blackwell, 66-year-old Amarjeet Johal, 64-year-old Jaswinder Kaur, 68-year-old Jaswinder Singh, 48-year-old Amarjit Sekhon, 19-year-old Karlie Smith and 74-year-old John Weisert.

Four members of the Sikh community were killed, prompting the Sikh Coalition to call for an investigation into whether racial bias played a role in the attack.

Hole’s family issued a statement on Saturday apologizing for the “pain and hurt” the victims' families feel.

The shooting in Indianapolis came after a mass shooting in Boulder, Colo., left ten dead in March.

The Gun Violence Archive on Friday recorded 45 shootings in the U.S. in the past month alone, and 147 overall this year.

President Biden has previously called on Congress to pass gun control legislation, including banning assault-style weapons. Earlier this month, he unveiled multiple executive actions addressing the issue.

Tonight's mass shooting occurred in downtown San Diego's Gaslamp Quarter

America has suffered another mass shooting, this time in downtown San Diego.

"A shooting left one person dead and as many as four others wounded Thursday night in the Gaslamp Quarter, authorities said. Officers detained one person and reportedly recovered a firearm, and the scene was not thought to be active as of 11 p.m., San Diego police Officer John Buttle said The gunfire erupted around 10:30 p.m. at Fifth Avenue and J Street, and possibly "a few other locations" along Fifth Avenue, according to Buttle, who said officers and investigators were still sorting out what happened," The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

One person reportedly died at the scene, while three others were taken to area hospitals.

"According to police, officers responded around 10:30 p.m. to reports that a restaurant employee had been shot at 5th Avenue and J Street in the Gaslamp Quarter, a few blocks from Petco Park," ABC News 10 reported. "Police said two people were taken into custody. No other details were given at this time."

‘Heinous Act’: Virginia Gunman Opens Fire on Group of Kids, Seriously Injuring 3-Month-Old

One woman was killed and and a 3-month-old baby was left in a serious condition after an unidentified gunman opened fire on a group of children playing in Richmond, Virginia, on Tuesday evening. According to Police Chief Gerald Smith, the shooter opened fire on the group outside an apartment complex before someone returned fire and the gunman fled. “It’s just a heinous act that baffles the mind as to why anyone would do this in a quad full of children just out enjoying themselves,” Smith said, according to local network WWBT. The victims are believed to include the baby, two teens, and two adult women, one of whom has died. “One of the hardest things to say is one was a 3-month-old at the time they were shot,” said Chief Smith. “The 3-month-old is in serious condition at this time.” The shooter is on the run and police are appealing for information.
