  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

If you do, there's some good news and some bad news.

The bad news is Parler is dead. After the Capitol Attack, Parler became toxic and no tech company will handle it. If Parler wants to remain alive, it will have operate by post cards and smoke signals.

The good news is all of the Parler server has been saved, so every uploaded video and post still exists, including those deleted by the user, going back to day one.

There's still a little bad news. Apparently Parler was set up on the cheap and the people behind it depended on basement dwelling neckbeards to create the forum code and database. Some of the software was the "free trial" version. In any case, it was all downloaded and archived before Parler's internet connection was axed and it will soon be available for search by anyone who has an internet connection.

It seems Parler required a scan of the user's driving license to open an account. So that will be available for search. Also, Parler's amateur IT crew left all the metadata intact on uploaded files, so the time, phone ID, and GPS position are included in all the videos.

Hey Bron, if all that is true, then there are a bunch of folks needing to do some serious damage control. Since most of the people are presumably pissed off Facebook users, who cancelled or were dropped from there, how will they spread the word now?

As said above, postcards and smoke signals.

Their real problem is, Parler was was created for people who were kicked off other social media for spreading lies and inciting violence. Now the FBI, Secret Service, and any interested private party can see all the posts, photos, videos, and private messages, in Parler accounts. This includes the posts which were so criminal, Amazon kicked them to the curb. It also includes video files created during the Capitol attack, which include the metadata of camera ID, time stamp, and GPS position.

You seem to misunderstand the significance of the Parler hack.

Why would you think someone on a far right social forum would need a deniability strategy and an escape plan?

I'm sure a lot of the Cop Killers wish they had all that, especially after they risked life and liberty for the President, only to see him turn his back on them to save his own ass.

      Wow.
So, first of all, one doesn't need to go poking about some dead website for people to persecute in this latest witch hunt.
Course, what with Trump's account having been deleted, and Trump supporting accounts being banned as fast as they're uncovered, all that's left are the Antifa, BLM, think progress and young democrat accounts, but they are indeed out there. Complete with KILL TRUMP!! posts.
But, since they are part of the "in" crowd, its doubtful they have much to worry about.

Second, a quick check shows that parlor was not created "for people who were kicked off other social media for spreading lies and inciting violence."
According to Fortune, Parler is a Twitter rival that bills itself as “an unbiased social media focused on real user experiences and engagement.”

But hey, you carry on Bron, keep that propaganda going.

Just a thought, using social media content in court might prove to be tricky, authorship and intent might be hard to prove. And the lawyers get wealthier.

A video of a person hitting a policeman with a fire extinguisher will show their intent to do harm, and the metadata shows the internal ID of the phone, the WiFi server it was uploaded through, the GPS position, and the user's current data usage. A reasonable jury might conclude that the owner of the phone witnessed the crime and their commentary showed complicity.

Of course, they could always fall back on the Trump defense and say Antifa stole their phone, took the video and then gave back the phone.

      Exact words from his speech

"We have come to demand that Congress do the right thing and only count the electors who have been lawfully slated, lawfully slated. I know that everyone here will soon be marching over to the Capitol building to peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard."

      tenguy, Jan 13, 2021
    3. Bron Zeage
You seem to have a selective memory.

Why do you think the Capitol building was attacked? The videos I've seen are not peaceful and there didn't seem to be much patriotism to the United States on display.

Selective memory? WTH, those are Trumps words, from CNNs transcript.

Exactly why they attacked is because they wanted to disrupt the vote to certify the electoral votes. Unless I missed something, that has been pretty well established. Did Trump order them to do it, I can’t find anything in his speech that point to that.

Come on Bron, you can’t believe that he actually ordered that clusterfuck do you?

      tenguy, Jan 13, 2021
    5. Bron Zeage
Of course not. That would require an intellect far beyond his ability. Trump is notorious for being unable to foresee the consequences of his actions.

Your selective memory selected one speech on the day of the Capitol attack.

Here's a question. How does one collect a couple thousand people who are willing to commit acts of violence and murder, on a specific day in Washington DC, and then have them attack the Capitol building, with the intention of doing something the President wants done?

      Bron Zeage, Jan 14, 2021
    6. tenguy
The day was chosen long ago, as far as those who did the crime, they came with the intention to do just that. How it was organized will likely come out as the arrests and charges are brought in open court.

But, unless you know something that hasn’t been released, there has been nothing substantial presented.

At least as far as I know now they don't even know who all hacked the Parler data. But it appears to be more than one because it was just so easy to hack the site. And there are all those drivers licenses and other personal information for the taking.

Parler Loses Bid to Require Amazon to Restore Service

By Elizabeth Culliford and Jonathan Stempel

(Reuters) - A U.S. judge on Thursday rejected Parler's demand that Amazon.com Inc restore web hosting services for the social media platform, which Amazon had cut off following the Jan. 6 storming of the U.S. Capitol.

U.S. District Judge Barbara Rothstein in Seattle said Parler was unlikely to prove Amazon breached its contract or violated antitrust law by suspending service on Jan. 10, and that it was "not a close call."

She also forcefully rejected the suggestion that the public interest would be served by a preliminary injunction requiring Amazon Web Services to "host the kind of abusive, violent content at issue in this case, particularly in light of the recent riots at the U.S. Capitol."

"That event," she added, "was a tragic reminder that inflammatory rhetoric can - more swiftly and easily than many of us would have hoped - turn a lawful protest into a violent insurrection."

Parler was not immediately available for comment.

"We welcome the court's careful ruling," an Amazon spokeswoman said in a statement. "This was not a case about free speech. It was about a customer that consistently violated our terms of service."

Amazon said Parler ignored repeated warnings to effectively moderate the growth on its website of violent content, which included calls to assassinate prominent Democratic politicians, leading business executives and members of the media.

Researchers have said far-right groups at the Capitol had a vigorous online presence on platforms including Parler, where they spread violent rhetoric.

Parler said there was no evidence apart from anecdotes in the press that it had a role in inciting the riots, and that it was unfair to deprive millions of law-abiding Americans a platform for free speech.

It also said Amazon had no right to threaten its "extinction" by pulling the plug, and had been motivated by "political animus" to benefit Twitter Inc, a larger Amazon client that Parler said did not censor violent content targeting conservatives.

Rothstein rejected that argument, saying Parler had merely raised the "specter of preferential treatment" for Twitter.

Many supporters of former U.S. President Donald Trump favor Parler, which has claimed it had more than 12 million users.

Parler remains largely offline after being dropped by Seattle-based Amazon and the app stores of Apple Inc and Alphabet Inc's Google following the Washington unrest.

Those companies also cited Parler's record of policing violent content.

Parler Chief Executive Officer John Matze told Reuters on Jan. 13 that Parler may be offline for good, but later pledged it would return stronger.

Matze and his family were forced to "go into hiding" after receiving death threats, his lawyer said on Jan. 15.

A static version of Parler's website recently returned, including a notice saying Parler was having technical difficulties, and a handful of posts from people like Fox News hosts Sean Hannity and Mark Levin.

Chief Operating Officer Jeffrey Wernick said on Tuesday that Parler was posting comments on behalf of "friends who reached out."

The site's internet protocol address is owned by DDos-Guard, which is controlled by two Russian men and provides protection from distributed denial-of-service attacks, according to infrastructure expert Ronald Guilmette.

Head of House Oversight Committee seeks FBI probe into Parler's possible role in Capitol attack

The head of the House Oversight and Reform committee is urging the FBI to investigate Parler and the role the social media app may have played in the attack on the U.S. Capitol this month.

In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Rep. Carolyn B. Maloney, chairwoman of the oversight committee, wants the agency to review how the app may have facilitated planning among rioters who stormed the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, as well as investigate any evidence Parler users may have posted to the platform.

"It is clear that Parler houses additional evidence critical to investigations of the attack on the Capitol," reads an excerpt from Maloney's letter.

Maloney also wants the FBI to investigate how Parler is financed.

Representatives from Parler could not be immediately reached for comment.

Parler has been favored by conservatives seeking a social media platform with a more hands-off approach as larger sites such as Facebook and Twitter cracked down on rule breakers.

A report from Reuters said Parler.com partially returned using an IP address from a Russian-owned company.

The site has a message that reads, in part: "Our aim has always been to provide a nonpartisan public square where individuals can enjoy and exercise their rights to both. We will resolve any challenge before us and plan to welcome all of you back soon. We will not let civil discourse perish!"

In an interview with Fox News, Parler CEO John Matze said he's confident the platform will return with full functionality by the end of the month.

Earlier this month, Parler filed a lawsuit against Amazon alleging the tech giant violated antitrust laws to harm the app and help Twitter. In a statement to USA TODAY, Amazon said the lawsuit has no merit.

Parler moves to hosting service owned by Russians after ban
Parler was dropped by big tech companies after it was used by members to incite violence at the US Capitol. It is now relying on a hosting service owned by two Russians.
