  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Trump’s Fancy New ‘Communications Platform’ Is Basically a Half-Cooked Blog

Former President Donald Trump has been threatening for months to build his own social media platform after being booted off all the existing ones. And on Tuesday, Fox News landed the exclusive story that Trump had launched his own “communications platform,” which will “eventually give him the ability to communicate directly with his followers.” The platform was described by Fox as a “space that will allow Trump to post comments, images, and videos.” Most normal people would describe it as a website. For now, the site, www.DonaldJTrump.com/desk, looks like a half-cooked blog without the ability to post comments or engage with Trump or his posts. It has been created by Trump’s disgraced former campaign manager, Brad Parscale, according to Fox.

    Read it at Fox News

Why should Trump let the people post comments? He knows what is happening and what to do.
There is no use listening to a bunch of democrats. that would be the most people posting.
Everyone else knows Trump knows what is best for us.

If former President Donald Trump believed he had a workaround for his ban from Twitter, it appears he’ll have to think again.

Twitter has banned the @DJTDesk account, the handle that was created for the new platform Trump launched for himself this week. The website — www.DonaldJTrump.com/desk — is essentially a blog for the ex-president since it allows him to post content that followers can “like” and circulate on social media, but that’s as far as its engagement capabilities go in its current format.

Trump launched his website on Tuesday, but on Wednesday night, the @DJTDesk account was shut down.

Twitter’s notice links to their rules and policies page, which subsequently leads to their policy forbidding people from circumventing permanent suspensions.

Trump was de-platformed across social media back in January, after his supporters violently stormed the U.S. Capitol in an attempt to overturn his 2020 election defeat. Facebook’s Oversight Board held a meeting on Wednesday to address Trump’s suspension from the website, but they decided to keep his ban in place for the time being.

If anyone, it should not matter who, violated the terms of agreement, they get deplatformed. That’s not hard.

Pro tip - to have any credibility, you cannot cite OAN, News for Dumb fox, Charlie Kirk, gateway pundit, judicial watch, Dan Bonobo, The federalist.......To name a few. You’re welcome to choose the media bias fact checking site of your choice and see what it has to say about those sources of seditious disinformation.

Broadband companies paid for 8.5M fake net neutrality comments, New York AG says

The Office of the New York Attorney General said in a new report that a campaign funded by the broadband industry submitted millions of fake comments supporting the 2017 repeal of net neutrality.

The Federal Communications Commission’s contentious 2017 repeal undid Obama-era rules that barred internet service providers from slowing or blocking websites and apps or charging companies more for faster speeds to consumers. The industry had sued to stop these rules during the Obama administration but lost.

The proceeding generated a record-breaking number of comments — more than 22 million — and nearly 18 million were fake, the attorney general’s office found. It has long been known that the tally included fake comments.

One 19-year-old in California submitted more than 7.7 million pro-net neutrality comments. The attorney general’s office did not identify the origins of another “distinct group” of more than 1.6 million pro-net neutrality comments, many of which used mailing addresses outside the U.S.

A broadband industry group, called Broadband for America, spent $4.2 million generating more than 8.5 million of the fake FCC comments. Half a million fake letters were also sent to Congress.

The goal of the broadband industry campaign, according to internal documents the attorney general’s office received, was to make it seem like there was “widespread grassroots support” for the repeal of net neutrality that could give the FCC chairman at the time, Ajit Pai, “volume and intellectual cover” for the repeal.

The agency is supposed to use the comments it receives, from industry and public-industry groups and the public, to shape how it makes its rules.

The FCC did not immediately answer how or if it has changed its commenting process, but the acting chairwoman, Jessica Rosenworcel, said in a prepared statement that “widespread problems with the record” of the 2017 proceedings “was troubling at the time” and the agency has to learn and improve the commenting process.

The fake comments had high-profile victims. In 2018, two senators, Democrat Jeff Merkley of Oregon and Republican Pat Toomey of Pennsylvania, said their identities were stolen to file fake comments for the net neutrality proceeding. “We were among those whose identities were misused to express viewpoints we do not hold,” they wrote to the FCC’s then-chairman, Pai, asking him to investigate the fake comments.

Facebook official battles Chris Wallace on Trump ban: ‘He put himself in this bed and he can sleep in it’

The co-chair of the Facebook oversight board pushed back at Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday over the continuing ban of Donald Trump from the social media platform, saying the ex-president has no one to blame but himself.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Michael McConnell was unapologetic about the decision to prolong the ban despite the Fox host's complaint that Facebook is denying Trump his "freedom of reach" -- a play on "freedom of speech."

Noting Trump's comments while the Jan 6th assault was ongoing, the Facebook executive explained, "This is a plain violation of Facebook's rules against praising dangerous individuals and organizations at a time of violence," before stating the one-term president is "subject to the same rules on Facebook as everyone else."

"The argument is that Facebook and Twitter and other platforms have become so big that they can in effect silence people in the digital age, and the argument is, yes, President Trump is able to speak but it's not a matter of freedom of speech, it's a freedom of reach. How do you respond to that?" Wallace pressed.

"Remember," McConnell began. "Mr. Trump is the one who issued those inflammatory posts at the very time when rioters were invading Congress and shutting down the constitutionally prescribed process for counting electoral votes. He issued those posts. He is responsible for doing that. He bears responsibility for his situation. He put himself in this bed and he can sleep in it."

Facebook Oversight Board member criticizes indefinite Trump ban: 'Their rules are in shambles'

A member of Facebook's Oversight Board criticized the social media platform in the wake of its indefinite ban on former President Donald Trump, saying Facebooks rules are in "shambles."

"We gave them a certain amount of time to get their house in order," Michael McConnell, a former federal judge, told "Fox News Sunday." "They needed some time because their rules are a shambles. They are not transparent. They are unclear. They are internally inconsistent. So we made a series of recommendations about how to make their rules clearer and more consistent."

The Oversight Board upheld Facebook's current ban on Trump for his posts on Jan. 6, with some caveats.

"What we are trying to do is bring some of the most important principles of the First Amendment, of free expression law globally, into this operation. Facebook exercises too much power. They are arbitrary. They are inconsistent. And it is the job of the Oversight Board to try to bring some discipline to that process," he said.

The board gave Facebook six months to review the "arbitrary" indefinite ban, saying in a tweet that the company "violated its own rules."

Steve Bannon-tied Chinese businessman is the 'linchpin' of COVID-19 and 2020 election disinformation: report

A fugitive Chinese businessman with ties to Steve Bannon is allegedly the "linchpin" in a massive disinformation campaign about the 2020 presidential election and the novel coronavirus.

The Washington Post has obtained a new report from network analysis company Graphika claiming that Chinese real estate developer Guo Wengui is at the center of a disinformation network that peddles falsehoods about former President Donald Trump's defeat in the 2020 election, and also lies aimed at discouraging the use of COVID-19 vaccines.

"In a video posted in April on GNews, a media website Guo has publicly suggested he helped establish, Guo calls vaccines against the coronavirus 'fake' and 'poison,'" reports the Post. "Images disseminated by the network on Instagram have portrayed coronavirus vaccines as grenades, bullets and handguns."

Additionally, the Post notes that Guo has described former Trump White House political strategist Steve Bannon as a "GTV board member" in a video posted online, although the paper could not confirm whether Bannon is formally tied to the organization.

Bannon last summer was arrested while staying on Guo's yacht and charged with defrauding Trump supporters with the "We Build the Wall" crowdfunding campaign. He was subsequently pardoned by Trump in one of his last official acts in office.

Fla. passes law cracking down on Big Tech censorship

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 2:25 PM PT – Tuesday, May 25, 2021

Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.) recently hammered down on Big Tech overreach. He signed into law a new bill aimed at keeping Big Tech companies from censoring free speech and banning people from their platforms.

“This is a big problem,” he asserted. “We don’t even need to get into the election interference from Silicon Valley.”

The bill, titled SB 7072, aims to safeguard Floridians from social media censorship and impose hefty fines on platforms who ban political candidates as a way to crack down on such forms of election interference.

“They shadowban people which creates partisan echo chambers” he mentioned. “They are some of the major reasons why this country is divided for doing what they’re doing.”

Under the new law, any platform which bans a political candidate will receive a daily fine of $250,000.

DeSantis began this crusade against Big Tech back in February when he began lobbing accusations at major platforms for disproportionately and unfairly silencing conservative voices. He believes this benefits their political ideologies.

“And they have used this power in Silicon Valley to oppose their orthodoxies and their ideologies on our public square,” he argued. “This is not how a free society should operate.”

The new law gives Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody the ability to take action against tech giants who make any moves in violation of the new law. Similarly, platform users from Florida will have the ability to sue social media giants as well.

The grounds for action will come from Florida’s unfair and deceptive Trade Policies Act, which would see censorship and shadowbanning by social media platforms as a violation of anti-trust law.

Facebook knowingly allowed GOP-linked 'troll farm' to place deceptive ads targeting Democratic voters

Facebook knowingly allowed a Russia-style "troll farm" to place deceptive ads intended to suppress Democratic turnout in certain congressional races.

The pro-Donald Trump firm Rally Forge, which was closely linked to the conservative youth group Turning Point USA, misleadingly backed Green Party candidates during the 2018 midterm elections in an effort to split the Democratic vote in a number of close races, reported the Guardian.

Report: Facebook is largest online recruitment tool for human traffickers

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 7:27 PM PT – Friday, June 11, 2021

New data shows Facebook is the largest online recruitment site in active U.S. sex trafficking cases. This week, Human Trafficking Institute CEO Victor Boutros said social media sites have become a dominant tool sex traffickers use to recruit victims for exploitation.

Data from the institute shows 30 percent of all victims identified in federal sex trafficking cases since the year 2000 were recruited online. Boutros added nearly 70 percent of child sex trafficking victims that were recruited on social media were contacted on Facebook.

The tech giant, which has faced major backlash regarding censorship, claimed they have policies in place to prevent sex trafficking. However, data shows that not enough is being done to prevent children and primarily women, from being trafficked.

In 2019, the family of a 12-year-old girl from Houston who was trafficked and not found until she was 15, sued Facebook for not protecting its younger users. The lawsuit claimed Facebook has no identity verification and had a weak warning system for human trafficking.

The study by the Human Trafficking Institute showed traffickers often prey on existing vulnerabilities in victims. Additionally, it said despite the common idea that traffickers are large group networks that exploit a large number of victims, the reality is that most traffickers operate individually and exploit small numbers of victims at a time.

Sarah Cooper, a member of the survivors’ council of ECPAT-USA, an anti-child trafficking organization, requested the tech giant prepare a report of sex trafficking on the platform for investors and immediately make improvements to keep users safe. However, the proposal lost and the board opposed the move.

    upload_2021-6-12_3-52-9.png

Yet....facebook sure has a handle on this:

Facebook Takes Down Network Tied to Conservative Group, Citing Fake Accounts

Facebook Inc. FB -0.36% said it removed a network of accounts with links to a U.S. conservative political youth group for posing as fake users to praise President Trump and criticize his Democratic rival, Joe Biden.

The social-media giant’s move is among a number of steps it has taken in recent weeks to curb misinformation on the platform and one of its most high-profile actions against a domestic political operator. It reflects growing concern, with Americans already casting ballots in the coming election, about the potential reach of political disinformation that emanates from domestic sources, rather than foreign ones.

Lawmakers propose 5 Big Tech antitrust bills

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 5:06 PM PT – Friday, June 11, 2021

House lawmakers have introduced five antitrust bills aimed at reducing the power of Big Tech giants like Amazon and Google. On Friday, reports detailed the bills which lawmakers said have seen some bipartisan support.

“Right now, unregulated tech monopolies have too much power over our economy,” said House Judiciary Antitrust Subcommittee chairman David Cicilline.

One bill targets companies’ ability to leverage their platforms to favor their own products over competitors. While a second makes it unlawful for a platform owner to control a line of business when that control presents a conflict of interest.

Additional bills make it more difficult to eliminate competition through mergers and promotes online competition. This comes as executives from Amazon and Google are slated to testify before Senate members next week.
