Last summer should have ended the debate on climate change. It obviously did not. Next summer will be worse. I will admit if I am wrong. I doubt the deniers will admit it if they are wrong.

The problem with climate change is that the changes are irreversible. We cannot tell all that carbon dioxide to go somewhere else. All we can do is to slow climate change by doing everything possible to stop the consumption of fossil fuels. The Green New Deal is a good way to start, but it is not self financing. I expect the Republicans to win both houses of Congress in 2022, keep them in 2024, and win the White House too. Unless the Democrats can throw something at Trump that sticks, and puts him in prison, I expect him to be our next president. Consequently, the climate will get much hotter.

 

Of climate change is a man-made problem in Chinese or making it . Take all sources of wealth away from the Chinese climate will come back on it soon . These fuckers don’t think twice about polluting anything water air earth they don’t care

 

This planet supports life, because this Planet is alive and well...man can not and will not destroy it, as man didn't create it....but big government will tell us that we will kill this planet if we cant accept the ''fact'' that they need to tax our way into saving it.....

When this planet looks like the other non life supporting planets in this galaxy, then I'll admit that I was wrong.

The fossil fuel industry is a money making scam. Far more money is made in the fossil fuel industry than can possibly be made inventing and marketing environmentally benign alternatives.

 

The earth has been warming up since the dinosaur age. So who was responsible then when there wasn't any humans to cause it? Let's see you explain that one.

There are three reasons I believe in human caused global warming.

First, it is the scientific consensus. I believe that on most issues the consensus of the experts is more likely to be correct than mistaken.

Second, I understand the science. During the age of dinosaurs the climate on earth was much warmer. Ocean levels were higher. Much of what is now the United States was underwater. Tropical plants lived closer to the north and south poles. Over time plants removed carbon from the atmosphere, and deposited it as fossil fuels. The climate cooled. By consuming fossil fuels we are reversing a process that took hundreds of millions of years in a few centuries.

Third, during my life I have noticed milder winters and hotter summers.

Earth has been around for billions of years. It goes through warming cycles and cooling cycles. 1 volcano erupting causes more carbon emissions than any humans can produce. So don't give me that BS. The earth is going thru a warmer cycle now. Dress accordingly! The next ice age will be coming again soon.
