  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

    https://www.forbes.com/sites/starts...2-does-a-single-volcano-emit/?sh=3b8bbde95cbf

Recent research about carbon reserves discovered underneath the United States has led to a new estimate of the amount of carbon in the Earth's upper mantle: approximately 100 trillion tons. By contrast, there are only about 3.2 trillion tons of CO2 (containing about 870 billion tons of actual carbon) in the atmosphere today.

Yes, we've accurately measured and estimated the amount of carbon dioxide that humans have been adding to the atmosphere through our burning of fossil fuels, but it's vital to know what the natural rate of CO2 emission is to understand the impact humans are having. Humans emit around 29 billion tons of CO2 each year: a little less than 1% of present atmospheric CO2. We tend to think of erupting volcanoes with active, smoking plumes as the biggest source of carbon dioxide, and Mt. Etna is not only a classic example, it's one of the most reliable volcanoes of all. If anyone ever bets you, "which major volcano do you think might erupt this year," bet on Mt. Etna.

A tremendous synthesis of information took place in 2013, revealing our best value yet for the total amount of CO2 emitted from natural release events within Earth. They found:

    • 33 measured degassing volcanoes emit a total of 60 million tons of CO2 per year.
    • There are a total of ~150 known degassing volcanoes, implying (based on the measured ones) that a total of 271 million tons of CO2 are released annually.
    • 30 historically active volcanoes are measured to emit a total of 6.4 million tons of CO2 per year.
    • With ~550 historically active volcanoes total, they extrapolate this class of object contributes 117 million tons per year.
    • The global total from volcanic lakes is 94 million tons of CO2 per year.
    • Additional emissions from tectonic, hydrothermal and inactive volcanic areas contribute an estimated 66 million tons of CO2 per year, although the total number of emitting, tectonic areas are unknown.
    • And finally, emissions from mid-ocean ridges are estimated to be 97 million tons of CO2 annually.

Shooter thinks its pretty arrogant of man to think that he can control his environment to this extent.

But if that was only the truth...I doubt it has anything to do with 'saving the environment'..it's about funding and growing a central fucking government.

There was a time when the 'fuel surcharges' were just pennies on the dollar...now it's 8x's higher..

The following are highlights taken from a longer article. Another nail in the modeller's coffin. What most Liberals do not understand is that models do NOT give us hard data.

Study reveals that the Arctic Ocean started getting warmer decades earlier than expected
    26 November, 2021

A new study has suggested that the Arctic Ocean has been getting warmer since the beginning of the 20th century - decades earlier than the records have previously suggested.

Using the chemical signatures found in marine microorganisms, the researchers found that the Arctic Ocean began warming rapidly at the beginning of the last century as warmer and saltier waters flowed in from the Atlantic - a phenomenon called Atlantification - and that this change likely preceded the warming documented by modern instrumental measurements.

“When we looked at the whole 800-year timescale, our temperature and salinity records look pretty constant. But all of a sudden at the start of the 20th century, you get this marked change in temperature and salinity - it really sticks out," said co-lead author Dr Tesi Tommaso from the Institute of Polar Sciences of the National Research Council in Bologna.

The researchers say that their results also expose a possible flaw in climate models because they do not reproduce this early Atlantification at the beginning of the last century.

A possible flaw in the models you say?....the only thing that is man-made about the climate crisis...is the hyperbole and the fear of the Planet getting warmer because of man and a thriving economy.

Tallest Galapagos volcano erupts, spewing lava and ash
    By NPR News
January 8, 2022 News from NPR, World

Ecuador’s Emergency Operations Committee said the eruption on Isabela Island didn’t represent a risk to humans or to native local species.

The tallest mountain in the Galapagos islands was erupting yesterday, spewing lava down its flanks and clouds of ash over the Pacific Ocean, according to Ecuador's Geophysical Institute.
A cloud of gas and ash from Wolf Volcano rose to 3793 metres above sea level following the eruption that began shortly before midnight Wednesday local time, the Institute said.

Ecuador's Emergency Operations Committee said the new eruption on Isabela Island, the largest in the Galapagos chain, didn't represent a risk to humans or to native local species. Populated areas are located at the opposite side of the island.

But the Environment Ministry said eight people, including national park guards and scientists doing field work on pink iguanas living on the volcano's slopes, were evacuated from the area.

The Galapagos Government Council said the emergency committee would continue monitoring the volcano to see in which direction the lava flows.

The 1701-metre volcano is one of numerous active volcanos in the Galapagos, which are nearly 1000 kilometres from mainland South America.

Images taken from afar and circulated by the government showed glowing lava piercing the pre-dawn darkness.

The volcano last erupted in 2015.

Well...they may say that 30 years is not enough to be able to tabulate it correctly/fairly/correctly, although they do use 10 year data to say the world is ending in 8 years if we dont tax the fuck out of society to save the planet for future generations.

    Oh, they're very predictable.
    Have been since the 90's.

First, fluff pieces about weather events; fires, snow, tornados, rain ........... whatever.
Then, some "expert" will make a prediction that in 10 or 20 or 30 years we will freeze/bake/dehydrate/drown/die unless we spend money/alter our lifestyle/give up shit/stop living. And if you track the money far enough you see that it isn't really going to fix anything, but line the pockets of some people.

And they'll have charts and graphs and studies and all manner of stuff to convince us that WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE!!
The only problem is, none of their predictions ever hold up.
    Not one of them.

This most certainly wouldn't have happened had we listened to all the tree huggers years back..shame on all of us, someone must have poked a hole in the under water Valcano while fracking, like it was a balloon.

    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 11:18 AM PT – Monday, January 17, 2022

A new report found several Democrat governors are using coronavirus relief funds to advance the party’s climate agenda.

According to the Associated Press, California Governor Gavin Newsom and Governor Jay Inslee of Washington State have diverted COVID financing toward fighting so-called climate change. In particular, Newsom said $22 billion will be spent over five years on climate-related projects.

“These are referred to often by some as existential, particularly related to climate change, issues related to COVID,” claimed Newsom. “But homelessness, cost of living, broadly defined and public safety increasingly and understandably top of mind in terms of people’s concerns.”

This comes as some blue states have received federal COVID relief funds despite running fiscal surpluses. Those states may now be improperly using federal money.

Several other states whose governors touted multi-million climate-related projects include South Carolina, Colorado and New Mexico.
