Jake Tapper Silent as Child Exploitation Squad Investigates Former Producer

CNN anchor Jake Tapper has issued no formal statement after it was revealed that police are now investigating his former producer for crimes involving “juvenile victims.”

Earlier in December, Project Veritas revealed audio and text messages allegedly from Rick Saleeby, a former senior producer for CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper, showing him fantasizing about sex acts with his former fiancé’s underaged daughter. On Tuesday, Fairfax County police confirmed that Saleeby is being investigated by the child exploitation squad:

The Fairfax County Police Department has launched an investigation into serious allegations involving potential juvenile victims. Detectives assigned to the Child Exploitation Squad of the Major Crimes Bureau are leading the investigation. While we will eventually be transparent about our findings, safeguarding the personal privacy and safety of victims and witnesses as well as maintaining the integrity of our criminal investigation are of paramount importance.

The department did not give any further information and Saleeby declined to comment. Though a CNN spokesman confirmed Saleeby “resigned from his position weeks ago,” Tapper has issued no statement about the investigation into his former producer.

As John Nolte of Breitbart News pointed out in 2019, Tapper also avoided questions when former CNN supervising producer Steve Brusk was accused by Project Veritas of alleged sexual misconduct:

Look at that … All of a sudden the self-proclaimed Captain of Chivalry, the Male Feminist of all Male Feminists, Mr. Squeaky Clean, Mr. Ethics and Virtue, Mr. Fox NewsIs aCesspool of Rape … All of a sudden when he has skin in the game, when #BelieveAllWomen becomes inconvenient to his status and income, he runs away like a sleazy politician, like a Company Man, like just another white cis-gendered member of the CNN’s Patriarchy.

Fox News, NBC, the Daily Beast, and TheWrap have all covered the Saleeby story, while CBS News and ABC News have yet to report on it. The investigation into Saleeby’s alleged conduct comes nearly a month after another CNN producer, John Griffin, was indicted by a grand jury for seeking to “induce minors to engage in unlawful sexual activity.” Griffin, who was immediately fired by the network, had previously worked as a producer for CNN host Chris Cuomo before he was fired for allegedly aiding his brother’s efforts to discredit his #MeToo accuser.

Not enough reporting...not enough to scratch the surface....just enough to show that the activist media will always circle the wagons when they need too, whether it's to show contention towards anti hack fuck politicians..or protecting their own.

CNN's Anderson Cooper uncomfortable as Andy Cohen savages Bill de Blasio to welcome in 2022
'Don't go on a rant,' Cooper begged co-host as he roasted outgoing New York City mayor

CNN’s New Year celebrations took an awkward turn after talk show host Andy Cohen began voicing his opinion on former New York mayor Bill de Blasio.

This year, shortly after the Times Square ball dropped at midnight on Saturday, Eric Adams was sworn in as New York City mayor, replacing de Blasio after two tumultuous terms.

De Blasio has faced heavy criticism from both sides of the aisle on a multitude of issues, including over the rise in violent crime and stringent COVID-19 policies under his City Hall. A seemingly inebriated Cohen was among those gleeful to see His Honor exit office, mocking him for "his victory lap dance after four years of the crappiest term as the mayor of New York."

"The only thing that Democrats and Republicans can agree on is what a horrible mayor he has been. So sayonara sucker! 2022! It’s a new year, because guess what? I have a feeling I’m going to be standing right here next year, and you know who I’m not going to be looking at, dancing as the city comes apart? You!" Cohen rambled.

    https://twitter.com/ClayTravis/stat...er-uncomfortable-andy-cohen-savages-de-blasio

CNN anchor and co-host Anderson Cooper appeared alternately amused and uncomfortable as he attempted several times to stop Cohen from going off.

"Don’t go on a rant!" Cooper said. "Is this how you want to start the new year?"

De Blasio and his wife, Chirlane McCray, drew derision last year as well after they danced onstage in a mostly empty Times Square. Various people criticized the image since most of the city was told to stay inside and socially distance instead of attending the annual Times Square event.

Cohen had a similar outburst at the time, shouting "Do something with this city! Honestly, get it together!"

Cohen alluded to his comments on Saturday, tweeting "good morning! Um, I was a bit overserved last night…"

De Blasio also faced a scathing critique from the Wall Street Journal this week as the editorial board listed his leaving office as a reason to celebrate the new year.

"Everything in the city is worse than Mr. de Blasio found it," the board wrote.

Neither classy nor professional, PNN remains the country's dumpster fire of cable news.

CNN Gets Duped by Raunchy Troll Tweets That They Showed Live on Air
By Nick Arama | Jan 02, 2022 12:45 PM ET

Once upon a time, CNN was considered to be a reputable news organization. But that seems so long ago. It has long since thrown any objective reason under the bus. Now, the network has just become a sad, sallow sack of something, searching for some kind of ratings to survive.

The network’s year has been closing out badly. They had to fire Chris Cuomo after he helped his brother in the defense of his sex allegations. Then he faced allegations of sexual harassment of his own. He was their most popular anchor, although to be fair, that’s like saying blue paint drying is more popular than green paint drying. Blah is blah. Then a Cuomo senior producer was arrested for allegations involving sex with children. On top of that, a second producer — this one who worked on Jake Tapper’s show — resigned and is now being investigated regarding accusations of crimes involving children.

CNN has a New Year’s Eve show every year but it has now devolved into just a festival of how drunk their anchors can become, debasing and embarrassing themselves. This year, Comedy Central’s Andy Cohen did-in Mayor Bill de Blasio with a completely out of control drunken rant. Ir’s clear that the network must encourage drunkenness from the hosts since it happens every year. But they had other “moments” too.

Now, I’m all for New Year’s Eve fun, but how bad is CNN? They got taken in by a troll, running fake tweets on their chyron during their live countdown to 2022. Different fake names ran for some time, and CNN didn’t pick it up. CNN was taken in by things like “Dixie Normus” and “Ben Dover.” Seriously, guys? Paging Bart Simpson!

The Daily Beast determined that several of the accounts were connected — Anita Dump, Ben Dover, Dixie Normus, Harry Cox, Hugh Jass, Mike Oxlong, and Seymour Butts — and that they had promoted the hashtag #CNNNYE to get noticed by CNN. The accounts seemed created for the troll, with most only having tweeted last night and only toward CNN.

Was everyone drunk behind the camera as well? But this perhaps shows just how much CNN actually checks or cares about what they run. I guess they’re so used to not checking, it’s become a habit. But on the other hand, looking at their on-air “talent” and their producers, maybe this isn’t so bad, by comparison. It’s a new year, but CNN is still stuck on stupid.

'You don't really believe that': CNN reporter stunned by Trump supporters' Jan. 6th conspiracy theories

    Brad Reed
    January 03, 2022

CNN reporter Donie O'Sullivan was left stunned by Trump supporters who seriously believe that the FBI organized the January 6th riots at the United States Capitol building.

In footage that aired Monday night, O'Sullivan talked with Trump supporters about the Capitol riots and found that many of them believed everything reported about the riots was a "hoax."

"We are very peaceful people," Trump supporter Anita Germano explained. "So it was totally set up. To me, it was the FBI had set it up."

READ MORE: 'The committee has broken through Trump's wall' and knows exactly what he did during riot: CNN's Jamie Gangel

Things got even stranger when O'Sullivan interviewed Trump supporter Jeanie Johnson.

"You said the whole thing was a setup -- you don't really believe that, do you?" he asked her.

"I do!" she replied defiantly. "Because Trump won the election, they've proven it over and over again!"

A Trump fan who identified himself only as "Larry," meanwhile, did acknowledge that some of the people who rioted at the Capitol were Trump supporters, but he argued they were incited by undercover FBI agents.

Hannity's texts show a broader 'betrayal' of Trump as the riot surged around him: CNN analyst

    Matthew Chapman
    January 04, 2022

    Screengrab.

On Tuesday's edition of CNN's "Anderson Cooper 360," correspondent Jamie Gangel outlined how the Sean Hannity texts obtained by the House committee investigating the January 6 Capitol attack reveal the breakdown and disunity in Trump's inner circle as events unfolded.

"What have we learned from these new text messages?" asked Cooper.

"This is bad news for Donald Trump," said Gangel. "These texts show Sean Hannity, Mark Meadows having exchanges that are, in effect, a betrayal. They are talking behind his back. And just for context, I want to point out what the committee's letter says at the top. They say that — to Hannity — quote, 'You seemed to have advance knowledge regarding President Trump's and his legal team's planning.' That he was, quote, 'providing advice,' and that he had relevant communications while the riot was underway. That these communications make you, Hannity, quote, 'a fact witness.'"

"It appears that Hannity may be talking to the White House counsel, Anderson," added Gangel. "But in any case, he understands and he's saying to Meadows that the pressure we know that Trump was putting on Mike Pence not to do the right thing on January 6th — this is evidence that the White House counsels were threatening to quit."

CNN panel stunned by forcefulness of Biden’s Jan. 6 speech: ‘He just called the former president twisted!’

    Matthew Chapman
    January 06, 2022

On CNN Thursday, anchor Wolf Blitzer and a panel of analysts reacted to President Joe Biden's fiery speech laying the January 6 Capitol attack directly at the feet of former President Donald Trump.

"It does show where we have come a year from January 6th, where some people maybe thought we would be in a different position in the United States," said correspondent Kaitlan Collins. "But clearly, the president of the United States feeling the need to go on the anniversary of this and say his predecessor is a liar is notable."

READ MORE: Trump lashes out after Biden calls out his lies in blistering Jan. 6 speech

"Yeah, I've never heard an American president accuse a former president of being a liar along these lines, a threat to American democracy," said Blitzer. "He didn't mention Trump by name. He didn't have to mention Trump by name. He referred to the former president over and over again."

"He just called the former president of the United States twisted," Gloria Borger later added. "I mean, this is, you know, Joe Biden unbound here. It's just -- it is remarkable how he directly went after the former defeated president."

As the Toilet Water Swirls: CNN's Primetime Viewership Collapses an Astonishing 73 Percent
By Mike Miller | Jan 06, 2022 1:00 PM ET

On this episode of “The Most Trusted Name in News™”…

How low can they go? CNN’s ratings, I mean. New quarter, same results: Fox News Channel was the most-watched basic cable network in the 24-hour daypart for the final quarter of 2021. While Fox averaged 2.37 million total viewers in primetime, CNN slithered across the finish line with just 642,000. Ouch.

A quick trip through a few recent RedState headlines tells you all you need to know:

CNN’s Chris Cillizza Gets Roundly Mocked After Sudden Realization About COVID-Shaming

CNN’s Don Lemon Went on Drunken ‘Grown A** Man’ New Year’s Eve Rant That Needs to Be Discussed

Why Silly Brian Stelter and CNN Just Can’t Quit Donald Trump

Watch: In Which Fox News’ Bret Baier Explains Journalism 101 to CNN’s Don Lemon

And who can forget the disgraced former CNN anchor, Chris Cuomo? Listen, when this guy is your clean-up hitter, it’s only a matter of time. And that time continues to come. Reality, CNN, deal.

As we reported in late December, after enjoying a five-year Trump Derangement Syndrome high, CNN’s viewership for the first week of December fell to 17th overall among basic cable networks.

    https://twitter.com/MikeSington/sta...p-collapses-an-astonishing-73-percent-n502660

    As reported by TVNewser:

FNC averaged 1.44 million total viewers across the 24-hour day time period (total day), up six percent over third-quarter 2020. […] Fox News also averaged 2.37 million total viewers in primetime, No. 2 on basic cable (behind ESPN, which averaged 2.63 million). Fox’s 2.37 million average is less than -1% from Q3 ’21 and -37% from Q4 of ’20, which was a highly-rated quarter featuring a presidential election.

Meanwhile, CNN continued to tank, averaging just 492,000 total viewers across the 24-hour day time (total day) in the fourth quarter. As noted by TVNewser, the 492,000 was down 18 percent from third-quarter 2021, 67 percent down from fourth-quarter 2020, and an astonishing minus-73 percent compared to fourth-quarter 2020.

Yet, silly clowns like Brian Stelter and Don Lemon continually rail against Fox News in pathetic fashion on a near-daily basis.

The funniest part is that The Most Trusted Name in News™ doesn’t seem to give a damn, obviously valuing its position as the primary sock-puppet media of the left more than it values viewership and revenue, choosing instead to make a further mockery out of its silly motto. Think about it.

Oblivious to reality, CNN anchors, contributors, and most guests trot out on a daily basis with the predictability of Michael Moore inhaling a bag of Quarter Pounders with Cheese — with the singular goal of railing against Fox News, trashing Donald Trump, “white supremacy,” “systemic racism”, and other Democrat Party talking points. Seems to me that at some point, Einstein’s definition of insanity — doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results — might cross CNN honcho Jeff Zucker’s mind.

    Then again, Zucker is Zucker.

And CNN… The Most Trusted Name in News™… is only CNN.

Besides, there’s only so much a left-wing narrative-driven “news” network can do.

CNN's Tapper puts GOP governor on the spot by asking if the Capitol rioters are 'domestic terrorists'

    Tom Boggioni

    CNN screenshots

Appearing on CNN's "State of the Union" with host Jake Tapper, Arkansas Gov Asa Hutchinson (R) watched a clip of Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) groveling before Fox News personality Tucker Carlson over his comments about the Jan 6th Capitol insurrectionists before being put on the spot to explain what he would call the rioters.

Host Tapper asked, "We should note Senator Cruz has referred to the events of that day as terrorism more than a dozen times before he said it that time. Now the FBI defines domestic terrorism as individuals using force or violence to 'further ideological goals such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, environmental nature.' What did you make of that interview and isn't that exactly what the people at the capitol were doing, using violence and criminal behavior to further the political goal of as you note, undermining the election?"

"Well, let me put it back in a little bit more historical context," the Republican lawmaker parried. "I prosecuted when I was a United States attorney, a domestic terrorism case against white supremacists because they were trying to use violence for their own political purposes. That was an FBI domestic terrorism investigation. Now we prosecuted them for racketeering, not a terrorism charge, but a racketeering charge."

"You move that forward to January 6th, and I have no doubt that this is considered domestic terrorism investigation, but at the same time, they're not being charged with terrorism," he explained. "So it's a lot of wordsmithing going on there. The key is don't minimize what happened. Some people are going to call it an insurrection, some people are going to call it terrorism. I call it an interference with the lawful transfer of power using violence, and that's wrong."

"So let's accept what it is, let's don't run from it," he added. "Let's learn from it, and let's make sure that we don't fall down that path again for the long-term. We have to show to the world that we're not going to accept that as how we transfer power in elections in America."

CNN panelist blasts Biden admin's 'huge mistake' on testing: 'It's the worst kind of problem'
The CDC has faced bipartisan criticism over its confusing messaging in recent weeks

The Biden administration has been on the receiving end of bipartisan wrath over its apparent mishandling of COVID-19 testing, as both tests and the patience of Americans have been in short supply nationwide.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has made a habit of amending its COVID-19 guidelines, most recently cutting the length of its recommended quarantine time for infected patients from 10 days to five. Those who are infected are now instructed to isolate for just five days, followed by five days of wearing a mask around other people.

The CDC also admitted its initial estimates about the prevalence of the omicron variant were way off, and seemed to release some misleading guidance on the efficacy of rapid antigen tests. Before that, the agency issued a series of confusing guidance on the wearing of masks.

A CNN panelist on Sunday commented on the Biden administration's mixed messaging.

"It's the worst kind of problem," Washington Post columnist Paul Kane said on "Inside Politics." "They have a policy problem and a messaging problem."

Kane hit the White House for first focusing on a vaccine-only approach instead of focusing on boosting testing, saying, "They thought they could vaccinate their way out of this problem."

"This administration, with all the money in the world, from the bipartisan deals of 2020 and the unilateral Democratic $1.9 trillion bill in March, they had all the money in the world on testing, and they just didn’t focus on it. And that was a huge mistake," he added.

And now the messaging in terms of what comes out of the CDC is "just as confusing as it ever was," he said.

Even former Biden advisers have urged the White House to chart a different course for the sake of the country's health.

The "new normal," they explained, should be "recognizing that SARS-CoV-2 is but one of several circulating respiratory viruses that include influenza, respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and more." the advisers wrote in the Journal of the American Medical Association.

One of the authors of the articles, NYU Grossman School of Medicine professor Dr. Celine Gounder, expanded on her criticisms on "Meet the Press," saying the White House could have established a better working relationship with the private sector to manufacture more rapid tests.

"The White House and the administration certainly could have done more, earlier, to work with the private sector to create a more stable demand by putting in large volume orders," she suggested.

    https://twitter.com/MeetThePress/st...nn-panelist-biden-admins-huge-mistake-testing

Asked by NBC's Peter Alexander last week why Americans should "trust" the CDC, Director Rochelle Walensky defended the agency's fluctuating guidance, saying they were simply following the science.

"My job right now is to take all the science and the information that we have and to deliver guidance and recommendations to the American people that is adapted to the science at hand," she said. "This pandemic has given us a lot of new and updated science over the last two years, and it is my job to convey that science through those recommendations and that is exactly what we're doing."

Meanwhile, some social media users have found an entertaining side of the CDC's confusing guidance, coming up with some creative "recommendations" the agency is likely to suggest next.

"The CDC recommends you put pineapple on your pizza," "The CDC now recommends liquor before beer, you're in the clear," and, "The CDC recommends simply walking into Mordor" were just a few of the more popular examples.
