one in a thousand people get the virus, of those one in a thousand, you have about a 1 in a thousand chance of dying. For a young healthy person like myself, that's 1 in a million. covid is not a death sentence unless you're old and unhealthy; otherwise you have a great chance at beating it.

But your choice directly puts others at risk, like driving too fast, or smoking next to someone else. You’ll be dealt with accordingly, is all. Your right to individual choice does not supersede the safety of the whole, and public health standards will be adjusted to minimize the threat you pose.

Public health pretty much flies under the radar, doing stuff that keeps people healthy and safe, not making much of a fuss. But it walks softly and carries a big stick, because protecting the whole is a heavy burden. The epis will keep doing their thing, the MOHs will do theirs, you decide to threaten people with your individuality?
