The Corona Virus became dangerous under Trump. Depression levels of unemployment happened under Trump. The most destructive series of riots happened when Trump was president.

 

According to the Republican Supreme Court the last elections were fair. Republicans are suppressing voting because they know that the GOP represents declining constituencies.

Do Voters Want Democrats Or Republicans In Congress?

According the the most recent Five Thirty Eight average of surveys, 42.7% of Americans want Republicans in Congress. 42.1% of Americans want Democrats in Congress. That is concerning, but it is not a blood bath. During most of 2021 the Democrats were comfortably ahead.

The Democrats have one year to walk away from the foolishness of advocating Critical Race Theory, defunding the police, and mourning the martyrdom of Saint George of Floyd.



A lot will depend on whether or not we have a long hot summer of black ghetto riots in 2022. Crime, race, and immigration are the GOP's strongest issues. They are the reason lower income whites vote Republican, even though most Americans have favored a more progressive tax system for years.

Representative John Kavanagh, a Republican legislator who chairs Arizona’s Government and Elections Committee and is shepherding through a bill to make voting more cumbersome and therefore rare, described his party’s motives with blundering candor.

“There’s a fundamental difference between Democrats and Republicans,” he told CNN. “everybody shouldn’t be voting …we have to look at the quality of votes.”

In his concern for quality voters, Representative John Kavanagh ignores the fact that support for the Democrat Party correlates with education, and better educated people are more likely to vote.

Data from the Pew Research Center show that, increasingly, different people are populating the two major political parties — with Republicans and Democrats moving in sharply different directions among college-educated voters...

And as President Donald Trump’s term was winding down, the numbers had come full-circle and the Democrats had a 13-point edge among college-educated voters on party affiliation.

So, the data suggest that what we are seeing might be more than just a sudden Democratic edge in party affiliation. Those 2021 changes are coupled with a larger shift in party composition. And that might have real impacts come election time because voters with different levels of educational attainment have long exercised their right to vote at different rates.

In 2018, voters with a bachelor's degree cast ballots at a much higher rate than other parts of the electorate, according to data from the U.S. Census. Their 64-percent voting rate was 12 points higher than those with some college and 25 points higher than those whose highest level of educational attainment is a high school diploma.

 

Among Republicans and those who lean Republican, CNN was considered the most biased news organization, with a -87 bias rating. Meanwhile, Democrats and those who lean Democratic gave CNN a +29.

As you might imagine, the focus of the liberals on the panel was the “voter suppression” meme that the left has been pushing for years to scare voters and their constituencies.

It’s a false narrative belied by the facts, such as the relatively high levels of turnout in a non-presidential year in 2018 in many states, including in Georgia, or the numerous studies that have concluded that voter ID laws are a commonsense reform that does not keep voters out of the voting booth.

One of those studies, released by the National Bureau of Economic Research in 2019, examined 10 years’ worth of turnout data from across the country and concluded that voter ID laws have “no negative effect on registration or turnout overall or for any specific group defined by race, gender, age, or party affiliation.”

It has long been an article of faith on the political left that Republicans win elections by disenfranchising certain voting blocs. We are told that requiring voters to present photo identification at polling places not only depresses minority turnout but is tantamount to racial discrimination. The evidence challenging these assumptions gets stronger with every passing election, but Democrats and most of the political press don’t seem to have noticed.

At an NAACP dinner in Detroit on Sunday, Sen. Kamala Harris told the audience that “voter suppression” in Georgia and Florida cost Democrats gubernatorial races in the 2018 midterm elections. “Let’s say this loud and clear,” said Ms. Harris, a Democratic presidential candidate. “Without voter suppression, Stacey Abrams would be the governor of Georgia. Andrew Gillum is the governor of Florida.”

A few days earlier, Ms. Abrams herself, apparently still bitter over her defeat, made a similar claim. “We had an architect of voter suppression that spent the last eight years knitting together a system of voter suppression that is unparalleled in America,” said Ms. Abrams in reference to her Republican opponent, Brian Kemp, a former Georgia secretary of state. “I’ve never seen a community of people work so hard to strip away our rights and our humanity as fast as they can.” But if mandating voter ID, removing inactive voters from registration rolls or limiting early voting harms minorities, where is the evidence?

It just so happens that two weeks ago the Census Bureau released a report on voter turnout in 2018, which climbed 11 percentage points from the last midterm election, in 2014, and surpassed 50% for the first time since 1982. Moreover, the increased turnout was largely driven by the same minority voters Democrats claim are being disenfranchised. Black turnout grew around 27%, and Hispanic turnout increased about 50%. An analysis of the census data published by the Pew Research Center found that “all major racial and ethnic groups saw historic jumps in voter turnout” last year.

 

VOTER SUPPRESSION... another buzz term created to incite conflict....no where in this country is there a law that states a certain person of legal age and of legal citizenship can not cast a vote.

No just make it damn hard, make them stand in lines for hours, close polls so they have to drive many miles and there is no public transportation available so they can reach polling places, rewrite mail in" voting laws to make it harder for handicapped and people who dont own vehicles have no choice but vote in person, use gerrymandering as a tactic to water down the voting power of the other party...just off the top of my head...so lets make believe none of this matters...
