Abbott demands Texas Democratic Party official step down following 'disgusting' racial slur against Tim Scott

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott called on a Democratic Party official in his state to step down from office following his “disgusting” racial slur regarding Sen. Tim Scott.

“This is disgusting, hateful, and completely unacceptable. O’Connor must apologize to @SenatorTimScott & step down immediately,” Abbott tweeted Saturday. “@texasdemocrats censure him.”

This is disgusting, hateful, and completely unacceptable.

    O’Connor must apologize to @SenatorTimScott & step down immediately. @texasdemocrats censure him.https://t.co/wJLTqaHlLb

    — Greg Abbott (@GregAbbott_TX) May 1, 2021
He was responding to a since-deleted Facebook post from Lamar County Democratic Party chairman Gary O'Connor that called Scott an “oreo” following his Republican rebuttal to President Joe Biden’s address to Congress. “Oreo” refers to a black person who is perceived as acting like a white person.

"I had hoped that Scott might show some common sense, but it seems clear he is little more than an oreo with no real principles," the post read.

O'Connor has faced calls from other Texas political leaders to step down, including Republican Rep. Pat Fallon.

"Gary O’Connor’s comment against Senator Tim Scott is abhorrent, insulting, and unforgivable. Both he and the entire Lamar County Democratic Party should be ashamed of this racist behavior," Fallon said.

"This kind of behavior is not tolerable in Texas, the United States, or any political party," he added.

The comment comes after the slur “Uncle Tim” trended on Twitter to disparage Scott. Twitter banned the phrase from appearing in its trending section, but the tweets containing the offensive term were not removed and remain live on the platform.

In his speech last Wednesday, Scott said, “Hear me clearly: America is not a racist country,” and he spoke in defense of Georgia’s election integrity law, which has been panned by liberals as disenfranchising black voters.

"I'm an African American who has voted in the South all my life," Scott said. "I take voting rights personally. Republicans support making it easier to vote and harder to cheat."

Former Oregon House Speaker Dave Hunt arrested in prostitution sting

    https://www.oregonlive.com/politics...dave-hunt-arrested-in-prostitution-sting.html
Dave Hunt, a former speaker of the Oregon House who currently lobbies for powerful interests in Salem, is accused by Portland Police of soliciting sex from an undercover officer. The charges were first reported by Pamplin Media.

Hunt, a Democrat, lives in Milwaukie and represented portions of northern Clackamas County in the legislature for a decade. From 2009 to 2011, he served as speaker of the House. Before that, he served one term as House majority leader.

He was one of eight men arrested by the Portland Police Bureau’s Human Trafficking Unit undercover operation last month. According to a news release, officers posted decoy ads online and Hunt, along with the others arrested, responded to arrange payment for sexual acts.

According to Pamplin Media, which obtained a copy of the police report, Hunt was arrested April 28 at the Ramada hotel in southeast Portland.

Hunt, 53, released a statement through his attorney, Michael De Muniz. “Mr. Hunt denies the allegations, but respects the criminal justice process and will refrain from saying more until he has his opportunity in court,” it said.

Texas county Dems reject resignation of pol who called Sen. Tim Scott ‘oreo’

A Texas county’s Democratic Party rejected the resignation of its chairman Tuesday, days after he described Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) as an “oreo.”

Lamar County Democratic Party chairman Gary O’Connor, who is white, told the Washington Examiner in a statement that he was “deeply and sincerely sorry” for using the “racist term” against Scott, one of three black senators and the only black Republican.

“It was insensitive and I have embarrassed myself and my party by its use,” O’Connor’s statement read.

However, the Lamar County Democratic Party issued its own statement late Tuesday.

“Our local Democrats have taken the last few days to reflect upon this incident,” the organization said, according to MyParisTexas.com.

“After much discussion — especially among our local lack Democrats — we chose not to accept Mr. O’Connor’s resignation.”

So. They can demonize the merest utterance of a deplorable but forgive the overt racism, violence and corruption of despicables.

    Why are we not surprised?

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms won’t seek reelection

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms announced late Thursday that she would not seek a second term after what she described as “thoughtful prayer and consideration.”

The Democrat did not give a specific reason for her decision not to run. Her announcement made a point of claiming that “[m]ultiple credible polls have shown that if the race for Mayor were held today, I would be re-elected.”

She also referenced a March fundraiser headlined by President Biden which reportedly raised more than $500,000 for her potential reelection bid.

Bottoms’ political star rose following her June 2019 endorsement of Biden in the Democratic presidential race, and many believed she was on the short list to be his running mate. After Biden was elected, Bottoms reportedly turned down the offer of a Cabinet post, though it remains unclear what position she was offered.

Bottoms has been criticized for her handling of public safety, as Atlanta was one of many cities that experienced a crime surge in 2020. The city saw 157 homicides last year, the most since 1990.

The mayor also faced backlash from local police over her response to the fatal shooting of Rayshard Brooks by Officer Garrett Rolfe. Rolfe was initially fired (though recently reinstated and placed on administrative leave) and criminal charges were later announced, causing officers to stage a sick-out protest dubbed “blue flu.”

According to the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, more than 200 local police officers quit last year, many of them doing so after the resignation of Chief Erika Shields following the Brooks shooting.

“It was becoming an untenable situation,” Shields told the paper. “There were multiple things that made it become too difficult to do my job.”

For her part, Bottoms described attempts to blame for the spike in killings as “misplaced frustration.”

Potential mayoral candidates have until Aug. 20 to file paperwork to enter the race. The mayoral election will be held Nov. 2, with a possible run-off four weeks later.

Former Fall River Mayor Convicted of Extorting Marijuana Vendors and Defrauding Investors
BOSTON – Jasiel F. Correia II, the former Mayor of Fall River, Mass., was convicted by a federal jury today in connection with a scheme to defraud investors and extorting marijuana vendors for thousands of dollars.

Correia, 29, was convicted of nine counts of wire fraud, four counts of filing false tax returns, four counts of extortion conspiracy and four counts of extortion. U.S. District Court Judge Douglas P. Woodlock scheduled sentencing for Sept. 20, 2021.

Correia was first indicted on wire fraud and filing false tax returns in October 2018. He was subsequently charged in a superseding indictment in September 2019 with, among other crimes, extortion conspiracy and extortion.

“Jasiel Correia made many promises in business and politics, but today’s verdict speaks the truth: Correia defrauded people who trusted him, he lied on his taxes, and he extorted hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes as the mayor of Fall River,” said Acting United States Attorney Nathaniel R. Mendell. “With this prosecution, the U.S. Attorney’s Office has again fulfilled its role to find, investigate and prosecute public corruption in Massachusetts. We do not campaign, we do not run for office. We prosecute public corruption without fear or favor. The people of Massachusetts deserve a U.S. Attorney’s office that works that way, we are proud to do this work, and we’re not stopping.”

“Today’s verdict makes it crystal clear that you can’t trade on your office, embrace a corrupt pay-to-play culture and get away with it. Jasiel Correia was only a two-term mayor, but he has done lasting damage to the trust bestowed upon him by the citizens of Fall River,” said Joseph R. Bonavolonta, Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Boston Division. “In lying to investors and extorting hundreds of thousands of dollars in bribes to support his lavish lifestyle, he put his own selfish interests above those he was elected to serve. We thank the jurors for their service and thoughtful deliberations and remind the public that cases like this only fuel the FBI’s commitment to tackling public corruption at all levels of government.”

Former NBA Star Torches ‘Woke’ Democrats
By Jeff Charles | May 24, 2021 6:00 PM ET

Former NBA player Kwame Brown had some things to get off his chest a few days ago, and it was epic. In fact, the athlete has been on a tear lately, torching everyone from Stephen A. Smith to Matt Barnes to Jemele Hill in various videos.

But it was his comments about “woke” Democrats that first caused Brown to go viral. In a fiery rant, he said: “You fake woke n*groes man, y’all, y’all are the worst thing to the black community.”

He added: “You fake woke n****s won’t allow independent thought, because I don’t care who you vote for. I ain’t never cuss nobody out for voting for the Democratic Party, I ain’t ever called anyone a coon or a disrespectful name, none of that.”

    https://twitter.com/i/status/1395241559533162501

He continued: “You motherf***ers are, you guys that do that, not all Democrats do that, but the guys who do that, y’all are the new version of the KKK. White folks don’t got to do nothing. You all are the new version of the KKK because you try to intimidate.”

He didn’t stop there. “You try to exile black folks and you try to cancel them because they don’t agree with you and that’s sad,” he concluded. “You act like you doing something righteous for doing that, ‘the Democratic Party is our people!’ So, you going to hurt another black man for the white people that you like? You a fool.”

Brown, who was the first number one pick to be chosen straight out of high school also referred to Democrats failing to explain their policies.

“Motherf***er’s crazy. Can’t talk one policy, can’t say one thing. Look here, I said a long time ago. I got people calling my phone all the time. I got, I don’t know how the hell all these people get my number, the Democratic registry and all this s**t. ‘Are you voting for Joe Biden?’ I say, well what is his policies? ‘[inaudible] you can go online,’” he said.

The former basketball player also noted that voting for Democrats has not yielded positive results for the black community. “You been voting for the Democrats this whole time, well so have I and everybody else and what do we have to show for it? ‘Well, you know, they try to combat racism.’ Well, why the fuck they ain’t do it in 60 years then?” he observed.

Of course, this is just the first of many videos Brown has made lashing out at high-profile individuals. But despite what many think, he is not the only black man who has expressed similar sentiments. More and more, black Americans are becoming less satisfied with a party that claims to support their interests while doing next to nothing to help African Americans despite enjoying 90 percent of their votes.

It’s yet another indication that the GOP has an opportunity to start making inroads with black voters – many are openly expressing the fact that they are ready for something different. The question is: Will the former Party of Lincoln listen?

Dem congressman calls out progressives' 'deafening' silence on anti-Semitic attacks
The congressman's criticism comes amid a spike in anti-Semitic attacks
    5/25/2021

A Democratic congressman from Minnesota has called out the progressive wing of his party for what he says is their "deafening" silence on the rising anti-Semitic attacks in America.

Rep. Dean Phillips, whose district covers the western suburbs of the Twin Cities including Bloomington, Eden Prairie and Edina, put his progressive colleagues on notice in a Monday tweet. The two-term congressman eviscerated the progressives for not putting as much gusto behind condemning anti-Semitism as they have other progressive priorities.

"I'll say the quiet part out loud; it's time for ‘progressives’ to start condemning anti-semitism and violent attacks on Jewish people with the same intention and vigor demonstrated in other areas of activism," Phillips tweeted.

"The silence has been deafening," the native of St. Paul, Minnesota added.

Phillips' criticism comes amid a spike in anti-Semitic attacks in the U.S. following flaring tensions between Israel and Palestinian Authority-backed terror group Hamas sparked from rocket attacks launched indiscriminately at Jerusalem by the terror group.

"Conservatives call out violence in all forms and on all sides, those on the far left remain silent until political expediency loosens their lips," freshman Rep. Madison Cawthorn, R-N.C., told Fox News on Monday.

"We must denounce anti-Semitism at every opportunity," the first-term congressman added. "There is no place intolerant political thought for those who tout the endorsements of Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood abroad, but remain silent on anti-Semitic violence at home."

Members of the "Squad" — the group of progressive Democrats led by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y. — spoke out against the rising tide of anti-Semitism in the U.S. over the weekend, though some critics suggested that the lawmakers bear responsibility for inflaming anti-Jewish sentiments.

The lawmakers were torched by users online, who brought up the "Squad" members’ previous tweets that had referred to Israel as an "Apartheid" state and accused the Middle Eastern democracy of engaging in ethnic cleansing.

"While anti-Zionist gangs beat up Jews in her city, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was providing a quasi-intellectual basis for their actions, defaming Israel as an apartheid state employing indiscriminate force in what she seems to think is a capricious quest to murder as many Palestinian children as possible, instead of a highly restrained military operation tightly targeted on terrorists," The American Jewish Committee global director of young leadership Seffi Kogan wrote.

Kogan added that Ocasio-Cortez "didn't call for violence, but she carved out an area of respectability for a certain type of anti-Semitism, and others were only too happy to rush in, fists flying."

Ocasio-Cortez and several members of the small, unofficial caucus spoke out against anti-Semitism outright while others, such as Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., mentioned anti-Semitism alongside Islamophobia or couching statements against anti-Semitism with critiques against Israel.

Former Democrat, Maurice Washington, said he left the Democrat Party because it didn’t align with the value instilled in him by his family. Washington, who now serves as the executive chair for the Charleston County Republican Party, shared his experience during a recent interview with the Epoch Times

The now Republican said he grew up as a Democrat like others in his community and thought it would help him stay connected to other African Americans. Although, he said as he became older, he realized there were misconceptions about what African Americans’ needs were, adding it’s a mistake to think handouts are what they are after.

The U.S. has adopted the political idea of victimhood that paints people as either oppressors or victims based on racial categories they were born into. In fact, Washington argues that the politics of victimhood is a strategy often used by Democrats to stay in power.

New York City Democrat comptroller and mayoral candidate Scott Stringer has been accused of another allegation involving sexual misconduct. On Friday, Teresa Logan accused Stringer of groping her on multiple occasions while she was working at the Uptown Local bar in the Upper West Side.

Logan, who worked at the bar co-founded by Stringer, said the first alleged incident took place in 1992 when she was 18 and Stringer was in his early 30’s. She also described additional incidents where Stringer would make unwanted sexual advances towards her.

This new allegation comes less than a month before the mayoral primary.

Senate Budget Committee chairman Sanders says they will consider $6 trillion budget bill

Senate Budget Committee Chairman Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) announced Democrats have considered a massive budget bill. Sanders told reporters on Thursday, his committee have opened discussion to consider a $6 trillion budget reconciliation proposal.

Sanders said the package would include provisions to expand Medicare, lower prescription drug prices and possibly address immigration. Such a big spending bill has already faced pushback from moderate Democrats.

Sen. Mark Warner (D-Va.) and Sen. Jon Tester both asserted their refusal to support the steep trillion dollar framework. Warner has been discussing a smaller bipartisan package, while Tester argued that the requested amount was unnecessary. Tester also stated that utilization of the package is more significant than maximizing the proposed amount.

Sanders went on to say that discussions for the package to address the homelessness and ‘housing crisis’ are also in the works.

    She's making a fortune on losing...only a democrat!

Stacey Abrams now owns two homes totaling $1.4M after starting 2018 campaign in massive debt

Home Abrams purchased in October is now valued at $1,003,934

Former Democratic Georgia gubernatorial candidate Stacey Abrams now owns two homes in Georgia collectively worth $1.4 million despite having been hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt before her unsuccessful run against Gov. Brian Kemp.

The former candidate was catapulted into the national spotlight during her slugfest 2018 run against Kemp that saw her claim victory for months after the fact.
Since her electoral failure, though, Abrams has made a series of property purchases in DeKalb County that have been scrubbed from the county tax assessor’s website, according to records obtained by Fox News.
Most county tax assessors in the state of Georgia, such as in Abrams' DeKalb County, have a searchable database for property information, but individuals can request to have their information taken offline.
The former state lawmaker bought her first townhome in DeKalb County for $246,300 in 2004 and purchased a second home in the area in 2019 for $370,000 that is now valued at $409,400.
Fast-forward to October 2020, just days before the presidential election. Abrams simultaneously sold the home she bought in 2004 for $400,000 and bought a new second home for $975,000.
The home Abrams purchased in October of last year is now valued at $1,003,934.
The two houses are worth a combined $1.4 million, illustrating that Abrams has seen a significant financial tailwind since her failed 2018 campaign.
According to her 2017 financial disclosure forms for her campaign, Abrams had a net worth of just under $110,000 with just above $410,000 in total liabilities. She also had an IRS debt of $54,000 that she settled in 2019.
Abrams addressed her debt during her 2018 campaign, writing an opinion piece in Fortune on the subject and telling CNBC that "[o]nce you dig a hole, you're always trying to dig out."
The former gubernatorial candidate has not formally announced she will be seeking the Democratic nomination to challenge Kemp again for the Peach State’s executive seat but has expressed interest in another run.
Abrams did not immediately respond to Fox News’ request for comment.

Only illustrating that the National level is where they find the most corrupt intentions of those that cant make it in the real free market, they can only thrive from illicit actions within the politically established corruption cabal.
