Trump wins an election the pundits, the elitists and the pollsters did not believe he could. Even when Florida wasn't falling nicely into the Clinton side of the card, they arrogantly declared that Trump could not win.

While the know it alls were telling us why it couldn't happen, it did.
Now, they are telling us why it shouldn't have happened; frothing at the mouth, running about and shouting while tears pour down their collective faces, and predicting the end of civilization as we know it.

Let me try to explain one more time.
It's a revolution. It has begun.
Neither Trump, or Clinton, or the Democrats, or The Republicans, or Sanders or the Russians matter.
What matters is that enough Americans woke up to the fact that robbers are ruining Washington and robbing us blind but that we still have a voice. In fact, we have an obligation, a solemn duty, to drive the corruption and self serving elitists out of power.

The revolution does not need to be told by arrogant "experts" why they did what they did, and shouldn't have done. We don't need this nations "royalty" to take care of us with social programs that in the end only enrich the royalty. We don't need a media that arrogantly tries to mold our opinions or thoughts.

We don't need government to give us a job, or housing, or medical care, or happiness. We can do all of that ourselves, and we will do it ourselves.

And anyone gets in our way will discover what a revolution means.

Donald Trump's lower income white constituency consists of people who have found it difficult or impossible to achieve these.

If Donald Trump's economic policies do not improve their standard of living many of them will listen attentively to a Democratic presidential candidate in 2020 who sounds like Bernie Sanders.

 

Nah, can't happen.

The WSJ floated this idea months ago as a final firewall. (Yes, Rupert Murdoch was against Trump, too.)

But it could only have been possible if the electoral vote had been much closer, down to one swing state. And then it only would have worked with certain states, like perhaps Pennsylvania. The Electoral College has been loaded with constraints over the years, due to statutes and restrictions at the state level. They used to be able to organize and revolt. But the states have made it virtually impossible, on the very reasonable argument that it disenfranchises voters.

Trump won by an electoral landslide. It is impossible.

He won. He is your President. Movvvvvve Onnnnnnn.

 

What you desire is a counter revolution that would reverse the economic reforms of the twentieth century. Since the New Deal reactionaries have shared your desire. They have always been frustrated, even during periods of Republican ascendancy, because the vast majority of Americans including many, perhaps most Republican voters, support those reforms.

What President Eisenhower wrote in a letter to his brother in 1954 remains true:

"Should any political party attempt to abolish social security, unemployment insurance, and eliminate labor laws and farm programs, you would not hear of that party again in our political history. There is a tiny splinter group, of course, that believes you can do these things. Among them are H.L. Hunt (you possibly know his background), a few other Texas oil millionaires, and an occasional politician or business man from other areas. Their number is negligible and they are stupid."

 

Hannity (and maybe also Dobbs-- I've never seen him on TV) aren't really journalists. They're the media equivalent of op-ed columnists. That makes them pseudo-entertainers. They are entitled to have opinions, and even bias. The viewers decide whether they get to keep talking.

But Megan Kelly is supposedly a news tele-journalist. She has crossed too many lines. They say she's negotiating to leave Fox for more money. At this point I doubt many will take her.

 

I still buy the WSJ. Even though the paper consistently tried to undermine the Trump candidacy.

The difference, for me, is that the WSJ opposed Trump rationally, on the merits of his proposed policies.

Unlike the NYT, which to this day impugns that Trump has no policies and effectively is only doing this as some kind of obscene and hurtful practical joke.

Trump is not a Republican.....he is a populist

He was a Democrat for many years..................

He just did a hostile take over of the Republican Party.....
He just dumped Christie because Christie was filling in positions folks loyal to Christie.....

Many of the Republicans will be in that swamp he is fixing to drain.....

He will work with a majority but he owes nothing to them as they cut off all his help the last 3 weeks....
He will not forget this fact and many Never Trump Republicans in the long run are fucked...

He is reshaping that party and the Democrats best figure out what to do with their

Wow, Randy. I hadn't heard that Trump dumped Christie officially. I did hear that Pence is taking a larger role in the transition hiring, but I haven't read the paper today.

Well, that is a good move. Christie is up to his ass in his own alligators.

 

Christie will be around just will not have any authority ..... he is now not much more than an errant boy....
we will see what happens to him...............he has bit too much baggage right now....

 

I mean neither party cares about the middle and working class, don't you know that? Both parties love the rich.
