Shooter in an earlier post mentioned how many votes Trump was away from winning the electoral college an d If I recall it was near 50K votes..,."don't quote me" Pandemic or no pandemic I think if Trump had for 6 months prior to the election presented himself to the people, with a hair of moderation and humility, he could have gathered those votes necessary to be re-elected.

 

We can play the alternate history game till the cows come home. The pandemic did happen, but that was unavoidable. But it was Trump's handling of the epidemic that rankled so many. But its never easy to defeat a sitting president. As he has all the advantages of the "bully pulpit" etc. So to be a one term president, something had to be perceived to be wrong about

If not for the pandemic, people would be waiting in lines to vote, states wouldnt have sent out absentee ballots to all its citizens months early, there would be much less dispute of a qualified legal vote,

courts wouldnt have had as much influence in an already established voting process...a good lawyer can win a case that the earth is flat,​

Trump would have held many more rallies, ...Biden would have also, ...each would have been held accountable,

Trump would have given more press interviews and speaking engagements ...Biden would have also, ...each would have been held accountable,

Debates would not have been canceled and platforms and positions would be explained, If not for covid, both candidates would have been asked more questions.

Bottom line if not for covid, Biden wouldnt have been able to hid in a bunker and avoid public speaking or expressing his thoughts and opinions...
