Is there a reason you can vote without an account? I've written 4 stories on here and every one of them got hit with dozens of anonymous down votes in a matter of a couple of hours at most.

Also, related to an earlier post, are the age limits actually posted anywhere? I've seen some with pretty young kids that have been around a very long time.

 

Although the algorithm is getting annoying. My latest Mickey and Kat, Episode 2, got blocked with a note about a 5 year old child. Nope, I never specifically mention a 5 year old child. I mentioned that they'd had a good five years together, I mentioned they had children. They're a married couple! But no children, really no one under 18 in this one are involved in the sex. I wish they'd spend more time cleaning up the spam and let me write a half decent story with more well defined characters.

 

The story won't allow me to update my story as it's entirely rewritten

 

I get the sense that there are a gang of members that search EVERY posting for the SLIGHTEST evidence - real or imaginary - to report it for supposedly breaking a rule. I realize that the Mods have got an enormous job on to keep the Forum ''safe'' and so may sometimes ere on the side of caution.
It's the ''Barstewards'' who make false claims who are the problem.

 

Just asking are you breaking any rules? Are you getting any errors? I had a big one using Google (Bad Tokens) to turn off all my extensions. Remember, if you use google & extensions, they must stay off until after your stories are approved. Any errors tell us your character count must be above 5000. Also, you can not write your story on sexstories.com. You must write it somewhere else, make sure your story is ready to post, go to www.sexstories.com, login, have everything at the top done, upload your story to publish, not edit, then click save. If your problems continue, you can ask Stanley, but above be nice & patient. He answers many questions.
This is by no means everything. It's just what I know of others who may know a lot more than I.

I agree, the moderators (Stanley, though I can't believe there is only one using the account) are good. The submissions appear to come in rushes. A submission might be published inside a day one time and after several days the next time. Appearing to push the rules may delay things and delay for the rest of us, too.

 

I managed to pass all those. It appears that I had already published them then the old story is still there

 

I tried to edit one of my stories but it gave me a "Forbidden, You don't have sufficient rights to access this page." message - anybody know what I'm going wrong?

 

Hey, I just tried to post my first story, and even though I changed the option to "publish" when I go to the "My stories" page, it lists it as being in edit mode. And yet it also won't let me edit it either. when I click on the edit button it says i don't have the required permissions. Do I just need to wait longer or is something messed up?

 

Not that I'm an expert on this site but I have a few stories posted here myself. No, the story you posted should be okay if it clears the censors. It still shows "Edit" because it's not been reviewed and censored yet. When the powers that be have read it and passed it for no'no's like pedophilia and such and you get the green light your story's status will go from edit to view and it will be open to everyone else to read as well. Good luck. I'll have to look up your story after it clears and is posted for general consumption.

So, I published my completed first story here days ago...it still reads editing mode, but it shows up as forbidden if I try to edit it. So is it still being validated?

 

Not sure if this is the right spot to post this. But I would love the option to input multiple genres when searching for a story. Or the option to input all of the genres I am looking for and populate stories to read based on that alone. Is this possible? Thanks

 

Can I add themes to my story after it's been published? I forgot to add them before and I'd like to make it easier to find.

 

I wrote a second chapter to my story and submitted it last Friday. It is still sitting in edit mode but I can tell it's been submitted as it says I cannot edit I am not authorized.

 

I have seen a number of similar suggestions on here, but just adding my vote for features on the Hot Porn web site.

Could we please have a way of refining searches for stories. At the moment you can click on only one topic and any story containing that topic comes up in the search. But it is way too general. Specifically we need a way of searching for multiple topics, but most importantly we need a way of EXCLUDING certain topics. I like Teen Hot Porn or first time Hot Porn for example, but I am not even remotely interested in incest stories. I have no problems if others like incest stories, and definitely have nothing against the genre, but it doesn't float my boat. But when I search for Teen Hot Porn, I have to estimate greater than 95% of them are incest stories. It is so difficult to scroll through them and find which ones are NOT incest related. Again nothing against incest stories but I am after non-incest stories. Same with any topic, I just use this as an example. If you are interested in bestiality I can imagine you might want to search for horse but not dog stories. Or mind control, but not alien. Etc.

Can we please have a way of refining searches?

But to answer your post, yes, it would be good to have an "exclude" category. If you look at an author's list of stories it will show all their tags. I mix my stories. Some have incest, because it's very popular, some don't.

 

I'm curious if anyone else has run into this issue lately or if someone can offer me a straight answer. I have a strict policy that in all of my stories, any characters engaged in sexual acts are 18 AND OVER. That said, references to younger characters in a non-sexual context are made: For example, in one recent story I have a mother begging to her captor to let her go so that she could go find her 11-month son. For this my story was rejected. So here's my question: is it NOT ALLOWED to even reference characters under 18? If I have a character over 18 who is the mother or father of a child, can I not even mention that fact? Are we supposed to write our stories for this site assuming that people under the age of 18 don't even exist? I understand and completely support the anti-PEDO policy on this site: what I'm trying to understand are, what are the actual rules for stories? Can I not acknowledge in my stories that people younger than age 18 even exist, even in a non-sexual context? Has anyone else run into this issue with having your stories censored? In the sexstories.com rating, it would be nice if the positive vote button color is changed to green with a thumbs up and the negative vote button color is changed to red with a thumbs down. That avoids confusion.
