Oh yeah sure. Gaetz appeared on Fox News more than 180 times. But now they are trying to back away from him faster than a crawdad that just saw a Cajun because being associated with a sex trafficker is not a good look.

'He's just an idiot to us': Matt Gaetz blacklisted by Fox News and shunned by Trump allies

    Rep. Matt Gaetz (MSNBC)

Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) has been informally blacklisted by Fox News after trying to loop host Tucker Carlson into his sex trafficking scandal during an appearance last month.

The Florida Republican angered network brass after seemingly trying to turn Carlson into an exonerating witness, which made the popular prime time host visibly uncomfortable on air, and Fox News insiders told The Daily Beast that Gaetz was "going to be excommunicado for a while."

"It's highly unlikely you'll see him on again anytime soon," one network insider told the website.

Carlson was reportedly "livid" that Gaetz tried to implicate him during the interview, but staffers and hosts are trying to walk a fine line between keeping the embattled lawmaker at arm's length without angering viewers who love the loyal ally to former president Donald Trump.

Gaetz hasn't appeared on Fox News since the late March appearance on Carlson's show, and the network has barely mentioned his name as the scandal continues to swirl around him.

Even Trump was critical of Gaetz's actions during the interview, where he asked Carlson whether he remembered him bringing a 17-year-old companion on dinner date with the broadcaster and his wife.

"What was he thinking?" Trump asked in the days afterward, according to one person with direct knowledge of the matter. "What the hell was he thinking?"

However, another source told the website that Trump has privately expressed a willingness to help Gaetz by branding damaging reports as "fake" news, but the former president and his allies have discussed ways to insulate themselves from the lawmaker via phone calls and group messages reviewed by The Daily Beast.

"[Matt Gaetz] used to be a useful idiot," said one person involved in those conversations. "Now, he's just an idiot to us."

Conspiracy loving GOP senator blasted for pushing 'white supremacist Great Replacement theory' on Fox

    Fox Business screengrab.

Less than one week after Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt demanded Fox News fire Tucker Carlson for pushing a white supremacist conspiracy theory, Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) pushed the same racist talking point on Fox Business.

Johnson pushed the conspiracy theory during an interview with controversial former Trump official Larry Kudlow.

"This administration wants complete open borders, and you have to ask yourself why. Is it really they want to remake the demographics of America to ensure their -- that they stay in power forever? Is that what's happening here?" Johnson asked.

Ben Wikler, the chair of the Wisconsin Democratic Party, blasted Johnson for his comments.

"Ron Johnson never met a far-right conspiracy theory he didn't like, so you had to figure he'd land on the white supremacist Great Replacement theory sooner or later. Makes me sick to my stomach that this guy—temporarily—represents Wisconsin in the Senate," Wikler said.

Johnson is up for re-election in 2022 and seems to have decided that racism is his best bet to win re-election.

Terrified Fox News viewers sent cops on wild-goose chases against nonexistent antifa threats: report

Police chased down ridiculous tips about Antifa and Black Lives Matter called in by panicky conservatives all over the Pacific Northwest.

Fox News helped inflame fears of leftist protesters last summer, as demonstrators marched all over the country against police brutality and racism, and calls came pouring in about suspicious individuals and implausible plots, reported The Daily Beast.

"There was a young man with very short bleached blond hair who walked around in the street right in front of us and read every one of our signs," said one woman from Anacortes, Washington, notified police via the NextDoor social network. "Paticularly [sic] the Support your Local Police. He had a mean look on his face and looked inside my Jeep where the tail gate was up and he could see more of our signs and American Flags."

"I thought it was odd but one of our group is a retired school principal and very astute," she added. "He, with all confidence said that the young man was an Antifa or BLM scout. When he said that to me it immediately rang true and I was quite sure he was right."

That woman, and many other small-town residents whose tips were revealed through a Freedom of Information request, had been whipped into a state of panic by conservative media about the protests that followed the police murder of George Floyd in May.

"My ex husband is in a group with antifa," another tipster told Anacortes police the following day. "He called me and said do not go anywhere. stay home on Sunday because they are coming to Anacortes to break up a group on Commmercial [sic] street on sunday. I love Anacortes. I left Seattle to live a better life here with my kids. And I do not want anacorte burned up and people hurt and cops hurt."

Anacortes Police Chief John Small shared both tips, which came in mid-June, to five local law enforcement agencies that rely on one another for mutual aid, but neither amounted to anything.

"I received the below e-mail from Undersheriff Clark yesterday which was interesting," Small wrote at the time, according to newly released records. "Today I received the attached anonymous letter alluding to Antifa coming to Anacortes this Sunday to wreak their havoc... We will be increasing our staffing on Sunday, but in reality it's still not many people. If we start to yell for help on the radio I didn't want it to be a surprise."

A tipster in nearby Concrete, Washington, spotted the acronym "ACAB" -- short for "all cops are bastards" -- and an anarchy symbol spray painted the following month in a gravel pit, along with two overturned portable toilets, and immediately suspected an Antifa plot.

"Looks like Antifa has been up to Lake Shannon," the tipster wrote in an email passed along to the Skagit County Sheriff. "That's incredibly worrisome. The anarchy symbol, 'ACAB' (all cops are bastards)... that's an Antifa signature. Too close to town, for sure... but really worrisome when you consider Antifa is now using explosives in cities, organizing with firearms, and... by being at the lake, they were right next to the dam. Just sayin'. Can'tbe [sic] too careful, you know? Not in these times."

A sergeant ordered deputies to monitor the area, worrying that anti-fascists might be using the gravel pit for training, but government transparency advocates say law enforcement's receptive response to the far-fetched complaints shows how right-wing media whipped up fears about left-wing protesters last summer -- and even now.

"When individuals and law enforcement have been whipped into such a paranoid frenzy that they're primed to see 'antifa' or 'BLM' terrorist conspiracies literally in the toilet, the situation is a powder keg," said Ryan Shapiro, executive director of Property of the People. "There's a direct line from this sort of deliberately induced political hysteria to violent, repressive crackdowns on progressive dissent."

"Conservative and law enforcement panic about antifa and BLM hasn't gone anywhere," Shapiro added. "These documents aren't even a year old, and we've had an attempted coup in the interim. It's not like tensions have cooled. We now have tens of millions of people collectively consumed by manufactured paranoia about social justice movements, who also believe the presidential election was stolen with the aid of antifa and BLM. We're likely to see a new round of mass protests against police violence, and I expect the right-wing response will in some ways be even more ferocious than last year."

    Nextdoor is now a source?
    Anyone but Shooter on nextdoor?
Its like the electronic version of Mrs. Kravitz over the back fence.

    Just looked, and on nextdoor the big issues are;
someones dog pooped in my yard and no one cleaned it up.
A man was walking his dog this morning and the dog wasn't on a leash.
The neighbor kids keep throwing their ball in my yard and then jumping the fence to get it.
A strange man is driving around the neighborhood.
A young kid just sped through the neighborhood.

Course, it doesn't appear to be as bad as the intelligence community telling Nancy Antoinette that the conservatives were going to come back and burn down the capitol if Trump was impeached, if Trump was tried, or if Trump was found guilty, or if Trump was found not guilty. Cause, you know, those reports were the basis for keeping the razor wire up around the capitol and for holding the national guard for many extra weeks. You know, in the parking garage.

Tucker Carlson's pathological obsession with homosexuality, exposed

Last week, social media lit up with screen grabs of Tucker Carlson's yearbook entry from Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut in 1991, which was confirmed by the college, listing the "Dan White Society" as a club to which Carlson stated he belonged.

It was a grotesque, homophobic and violent display, as Dan White was the anti-gay killer of gay civil rights leader and San Francisco City Supervisor Harvey Milk and San Francisco Mayor George Mascone, both of whom White assassinated in 1979 at City Hall in a horrendous act of gun violence and a homophobic hate crime.

Fox News’ John Roberts Issues Correction to Viral Segment on Biden Burger Crackdown

Fox News anchor John Roberts issued a fact-check regarding a false claim about President Joe Biden’s climate plan — and what it means for burgers — that rocketed around conservative media over the weekend.

Roberts corrected the record on Monday:

On Friday, we told you about a study from the University of Michigan to give some perspective on President Biden’s ambitious climate change goals. That research from 2020 found that cutting back how much red meat people eat would have a drastic impact on harmful greenhouse gas emissions. The data was accurate, but a graphic and the script incorrectly implied it was part of Biden’s plan for dealing with climate change. That is not the case.

The Fox News report that inspired this meat correction began Thursday when British tabloid The Daily Mail published a lengthy if not loose analysis of Biden’s climate change plan, which presently doesn’t have very many details. Nevertheless, the author cited this possible bone of contention:

Americans may have to cut their red meat consumption by a whopping 90 percent and cut their consumption of other animal based foods in half.

Gradually making those changes by 2030 could see diet-related greenhouse gas emissions reduced by 50 percent, according to a study by Michigan University’s Center for Sustainable Systems.

To do that, it would require Americans to only consume about four pounds of red meat per year, or 0.18 ounces per day.

It equates to consuming roughly one average sized burger per month.

The problem is the Biden administration hasn’t said anything about Americans needing to reduce their meat consumption. Instead, the Mail cited a University of Michigan (and not, as the Mail says, a “Michigan University”) study that appears to have no connection whatsoever to whatever climate change plan the Biden administration has in the works.

Nonetheless, several conservative commentators and politicians ran with the story. Larry Kudlow of Fox Business claimed Americans would have to eat brussels sprouts instead of burgers for the Fourth of July. Citing the false Fox News report, Governor Greg Abbott (R-TX) tweeted of Biden’s nonexistent meat mandate “Not gonna happen in Texas!”

And gun-toting Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) told the president to “stay out of my kitchen.”

Fox News ridiculed for pushing absurd lie about Kamala Harris: 'Your brain is Swiss cheese'

Official White House photo by Lawrence Jackson.

Fox News has egg on its face for spending days pushing a ridiculous story about Vice President Kamala Harris.

The lie -- which began at Rupert Murdoch's tabloid, the New York Post, before spreading to his broadcast network -- said that taxpayers were purchasing a copy of a children's book written by the vice president to give to migrant children applying for asylum.

Of course, the lie was spread by Republicans like Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR).

WATCH: Giuliani was spinning so hard on Fox News he forgot who was interviewing him

Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani pushed "whataboutism" on Fox News one day after the FBI executed a search warrant.

Giuliani repeatedly attempted to argue that people shouldn't pay attention to his legal woes and should instead focus on Hunter Biden.

Giuliani got so confused he referred to Tucker Carlson as "Hunter" during his first TV interview since the FBI raid.
