Legendary comic Robert Smigel parodies Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell in his new series on Fox.

McConnell will appear in puppet form in the "Let's Be Real" series of specials that premiers Thursday at 9:30 p.m., showing the Kentucky Republican's doppelganger getting peppered with questions like "crunchy or creamy" and "Beatles or Stone," reported The Daily Beast.

"There's no reason to discuss my underwear at this time," the puppet says. "Beetles have lots of protein but small stones are good for digestion."

On Monday, Fox News' Tucker Carlson took anti-mask rhetoric to a new extreme, suggesting not only that people wearing masks in public actively be shunned, but that kids wearing masks outdoors should be taken from their parents by police and child services.

"Your response when you see children wearing masks when they play should be no different from your response to seeing someone beating a kid at Walmart. Call the police immediately. Contact Child Protective Services ... What you're looking at is abuse, it's child abuse, and you are morally obligated to attempt to prevent it."

Carlson's remarks triggered a wave of outrage from commenters on social media.

'Completely idiotic': Fox & Friends shredded for pushing phony Kamala Harris story even after being debunked

The hosts of "Fox & Friends" on Tuesday continued to push a phony story about Vice President Kamala Harris's book being handed out to migrant children even after it had been debunked.

A New York Post report from last week falsely claimed that migrant children being housed in Long Beach, California were each being given a copy of Harris's children's book, titled "Superheroes Are Everywhere," as part of their welcome kits.

The Washington Post reached out to officials in Long Beach, however, and found that "Harris's book is not being handed out in welcome kits," and in reality the New York Post's story was based on "a single copy of the book" that "was donated during a citywide donation drive."

Despite this, "Fox & Friends" continued to raise questions about whether Harris was personally profiting off the single book that was donated to one migrant shelter in one city.

"I think the question was if the government was paying for the book," said co-host Steve Doocy. "It sounds like a third party, an NGO is buying them, perhaps."

In reality, no one is "buying" the Harris book to give to migrant kids, as the story was based entirely around a single donation.

Washington Post reporter Philip Bump, reacting to "Fox & Friends" continuing to push false stories debunked by his own newspaper, called the segment "completely idiotic."

Fox News host slams his own network's 'right-wing echo chamber' for pushing false reports

A Fox News host is displeased with his network's publishing of false reports over the last several days.

According to The Huff Post, Juan Williams admitted that he is skeptical of the allegations being leveled against former Secretary of State John Kerry due to the number of inaccurate reports his network has released.

During the Fox News broadcast of "The Five" on Tuesday, April 27, Williams weighed in on the details surrounding Kerry's alleged discussion Iran's foreign minister regarding Israeli intelligence. However, Williams made it clear he was not sure if he could believe allegations due to the onslaught of falsehoods reported by his network over the last several days.

He also expressed concern about right-wing news outlets that echo scathing stories simply because the report attacks a member of the opposing party.

"It just worries me, like last week we had the hamburger story, 'Oh, Biden is going to take your hamburger.' Kamala Harris' book is being given to immigrants," said Williams. "These stories are false, but the right-wing echo chamber starts going crazy because you can go after a Democrat."

Fox host pushes white supremacist conspiracy theory to defend Capitol insurrectionists

Controversial Fox News personality Tucker Carlson pushed the same white supremacist conspiracy theory that resulted in demands for his firing on Thursday.

Carlson was attempting to minimize the harm caused by the insurrectionists seeking to overturn the 2020 election, which Donald Trump lost.

Carlson did not believe that the insurrection by Trump supporters was the worst attack on democracy since the Civil War.

"Really? The worst attack on our democracy in 160 years? How about the Immigration Act of 1965?" he asked, as he repeated the white supremacist talking point.

Anti-Defamation League CEO Jonathan Greenblatt has called on Fox to fire Carlson for his white nationalist rhetoric.
