Again the only way someone can do this is to be a brainwashed cult follower. Because you have to suspend all disbelief. You have to believe them when they say one thing. And believe them when thee say the opposite. Even though both of them are on video tape.

Sean Hannity blasted for contradicting himself on COVID vaccines

Fox News host Sean Hannity had a brief moment in which he begged his audience to get vaccinated to avoid catching COVID-19. Hannity even went so far as to say he believed in science. Just three days later, Hannity was back to saying that he never told anyone to get a vaccine.

MSNBC host Ari Melber this week pointed out that Hannity, a month later, now is promoting theories that "the science shows the vaccine won't protect you. It's not protecting many people." One study showed that the vaccine gives someone 80 percent protection from the virus killing a person. But with the more severe delta variant, the virus is more transmissible and appears to be able to take people down faster.

Melber noted that the breakthrough cases are still estimated to be about 1 out of 10.

"And yet, saying, 'I'm not a doctor,' seems to be a new talking point over at a place where people can't seem to keep their talking points straight," he closed.

Hahaha - it would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. @stumbler cannot face up to the murderous, disastrous actions of his little Golden Boy Biden in Afghanistan, so he just keeps furiously copying and pasting a bunch of bullshit about nothing.

OOH! Somebody at RawStory criticized Hannity!
    Breaking news!!!

OMG - this is the most serious thing that we could possibly be facing - isn't it?

No shame, No shame at all

But that's the way it goes with 'useful idiots'

WATCH: Fox News cuts away from Trump's 9/11 comments to fact check lie about 'rigged election'

Late Saturday, Fox News cut away from an appearance by Donald Trump at a New York Police Department event where he was making comments about the 20th anniversary of the 9/11 attack where he also asserted that the 2020 election was stolen from him.

After opening up the floor to answer questions, where the former president hinted that he was thinking of running for president again, saying, "I mean I know what I'm going to do, but we are not supposed to be talking about it yet, from the standpoint of campaign finance laws which frankly are ridiculous," Trump proceed to answer more questions which led anchor Arthel Neville to cut in.

"Okay, we're going to break away now, the is former president Donald Trump visiting the police station, the 17th precinct station in midtown Manhattan," she began.

"He didn't miss any opportunities to air grievances including claiming that the election was rigged, which it was not," she continued. "It has been proven in court multiple times. It has been proven that the election was not rigged by elected election officials, but it started out on a good note. President Trump, the former president saying that he grew up with the firefighters because he's from New York and he thanked them for their service."

Journalism professor posts hilarious history of Fox News's worst and most misleading graphs

    Brad Reed

Fox News host Tucker Carlson on Monday displayed a graph on his show that seemed to show the number of Americans identifying as Christian had collapsed over the last decade.

However, the actual percentage only showed a modest decline from 77 percent to 65 percent, even though Carlson's graph made the decline appear far steeper than it was, as seen below.

Columbia Journalism School professor Bill Grueskin responded to this by thanking Carlson for giving him yet another bad Fox News graph that he could show his students as an example of what not to do when presenting data.

He then went through a series of terrible Fox News graphs, including one that tried to show the top marginal tax rate exploding under former President Barack Obama, even though the actual increase was from 35 percent to 39.6 percent.

‘Those were the Trump years’: Liberal brilliantly destroys Fox News crime ‘surge’ framing – and her co-hosts’ claims

David Badash, The New Civil Rights Movement
    September 28, 2021

Fox News' Jessica Tarlov (Screen cap).

Fox News contributor Jessica Tarlov, a former Democratic strategist who holds two master's degrees and a Ph.D., destroyed her co-hosts' false claims and the conservative cable network's framing about the crime "surge" on Tuesday's edition of "The Five."

Speaking about news that the murder rate had skyrocketed 30 percent, Tarlov made clear that the FBI statistic was from last year.

"The data that we're talking about is 2020," Tarlov told Fox News viewers and her co-hosts, including Jesse Watters and Dan Bongino, as the chyron read: "PASSING THE BLAME," and "LIBERALS POINT TO PANDEMIC FOR SURGE IN VIOLENCE."

"Those were the Trump years," Tarlov explained. "So all of this blaming on President Biden that's happening now – actually under President Biden's watch the murder rate has even gone down."

    She didn't stop there.

"Another important component of the FBI data: that the short term increases was in all regions, not just in those liberal cities, all regions. That means in places where conservatives are. That means that this can't all be because of bail reform, defund the police, yada yada yada. And also the murder rate and the crime rate overall is lower than it was in the 1990's, so conservatives are running around screaming, 'we've never seen anything like this,' you have seen something like this."

Tarlov began her takedown after Bongino falsely claimed that the spike in the murder rate "was only in areas dominated by liberal politicians."

The New York Times reported last week on the FBI's data, noting that the "rise in murder was national, not regional."

The segment also mentioned on gun violence, with Watters insisting that "people can still kill you with a knife," after Tarlov had talked about America's "rampant gun problem."

On Monday NPR, reporting on the FBI's 2020 statistics, also noted that "Much of the violence was driven by firearms, with nearly 77% of murders being committed with some sort of gun."

This one just personally pisses me off. One because at one time in my life the school lunch was the only meal I got. But even more so my wife was a para educator for 28 years and the most heart breaking assignment she ever had was lunch duty. She would literally come home in tears sometimes watching kids go hungry or worse having to call parents to tell them their kid was out of lunch money. They would often scream at her or cry because they didn't have the money. Or worst take it out on their own kids. There is no excuse for that in one of the richest countries in the world. And these are some sick fucks to advocate for letting kids go hungry through no fault of their own. And this is also an example of the cruel hypocrisy of anti abortion treasonous conservative/Republicans. All they really want to do is be able to dictate what women can do with their own bodies for their own religious beliefs. But the second that baby is born they resent both the child and the mother and they could starve to death for all they care.

Fox News Host Rails Against Literal ‘Free Lunch’ for Hungry Kids

    Fox News

Whoever came up with the expression “there’s no such thing as a free lunch” probably wasn’t thinking about small children who might otherwise go hungry.

And yet that was Fox News host Martha MacCallum’s deeply cynical take on Thursday afternoon as Democrats in Congress debated how much to spend on what could be a historic addition to the social safety net.

It was her guest, former Trump economic adviser Larry Kudlow, who first brought up “the idea that free lunches could buy votes” as something that “may have been true during the worst of the pandemic, but it’s not true anymore.” But MacCallum was the one who decided to take the expression literally.

“One of the things that kills me is that now, you know, there’s a free lunch program in New Jersey. And it’s for everyone. Even if you don’t need help to send your child’s lunch to school,” she said, seemingly out of nowhere. “So, those kids are all going to grow up thinking, well, school lunch is free, right?”

“And then god help the person who comes along and tries to take that away, Larry. You talk about free lunch,” she continued, making her guest chuckle. “I mean, that will never—once that happens, right, once it’s baked in there—never going to end.”

As Media Matters’ Lis Power put it on Twitter: “Her sympathy is to the person who will try to stop feeding the children. Classic.”

Kudlow wholeheartedly agreed, lamenting that taxes would have to be raised to pay for new social programs, without mentioning that those taxes would mostly fall on the wealthiest Americans. “Common-sense Americans know this is not right,” he said. “They don’t want big government socialism, they don’t want a welfare state we’re all dependent on.”

One of the most disgusting tings I have always found about the lie of conservatism and the treasonous conservative/Republicans who preach it is their fake partition where they claim they back our troops and veterans. What a non fucking lie. They love to use our troops add veterans when it suits their political purposes. But in reality they could not give a shit less about them.

'Utterly trash': Fox News faces backlash after attacking amputee Tammy Duckworth for using veteran benefits

Fox News faced backlash over the weekend due to a report about Sen. Tammy Duckworth's taxes.

In a column on Sunday, Fox News writer Dom Calicchio reported that Duckworth had not paid property tax on her Illinois home since 2015.

The headline for the column omitted the fact that Duckworth legally qualifies for the tax break because she is a disabled veteran who lost both of her legs when an Army helicopter was hit by a rocket-propelled grenade in 2004.

The news about Duckworth's taxes was first reported by the Chicago Sun-Times.

"Utterly trash headline, even by Fox News standards," Marine-turned-journalist J.D. Simkins noted on Sunday.

Other journalists and veterans joined the criticism of Fox News.

"Fox News deliberately leaving out some very important context in their tweet headline. An absolutely shameless attack on a veteran who sacrificed both legs and part of an arm in combat," former soldier Brandon Friedman commented.

This is not accident. It was premeditated design. One of the first things Roger Ailes did when he entered the Reagan White House is convince him the most important thing he could do the help treasonous conservative/Republicans is get rig of the fairness doctrine. That way they could create networks that could just lie at will and never have to worry about providing equal time lo people to challenge their lies. And it worked like an evil charm and the right wing false propaganda noise machine was born. Which of course offeres a simple solution. Bring back the fairness doctrine.

How Fox News Has Made Every Single Moment of the Last 25 Years Worse

Over at Fox News, they’re marking a very important milestone.

“It’s a big day for them,” says Angelo Carusone, president and CEO of Media Matters for America. “They’re very, very proud of themselves. They’re very excited.”

Yes, it’s been 25 years since Fox News came on the air—25 years of “refracting the absolute most absurd and destructive and deadly disinformation and misinformation from the right wing fever swamps,” Carusone tells co-hosts Molly Jong-Fast and Jesse Cannon on the latest episode of The New Abnormal.

Subscribe to The New Abnormal on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, Stitcher, Amazon Music, or Overcast. To listen to our weekly members-only bonus episodes, join Beast Inside here. Already a member? You can listen here and sign up for new episode email alerts here.

And “everything is worse because of it,” Carusone adds—and the pandemic is just the biggest example. “There’s not a single moment, whether big or small—as big as the pandemic, as seemingly small as an appointment in the Department of Education—where Fox has not gotten in there and made it worse.”

Carusone offers a glimpse at what could ultimately rein in the network’s worst excesses—and it’s not just advertisers. “The cable companies are the ones that are really going to decide what Fox News is allowed to get away with,” he concludes.

Elsewhere in the conversation, he talks to Molly and Jesse about Facebook’s big moment in Congress this week, and what year was pivotal in making the social network the disinformation breeding ground it is today.

Also on the episode, Farah Stockman, member of the New York Times editorial board and author of American Made: What Happens to People When Work Disappears, discusses how she followed the lives of three factory workers after they lost their jobs.

“There is a huge link between health and mental health and jobs,” she says. “So these places that lose jobs, you see depression go up, you see anxiety, you see unrest, and you see people in Republican-leaning places go to the right to the crazy right. That is an impact of the loss of jobs.”

Listen to Bonus Episodes of The New Abnormal Podcast

Finally, Planned Parenthood President Alexis McGill Johnson offers her reaction to a federal judge’s pause on the Texas abortion ban.

“Judge Pitman was so clear, right?” she tells Molly. “Like, this was a scheme to deny the constitutional rights of Texans. And I thought his language was powerful. I thought his ability to really distill the impact to patients on the ground for the past 37 days was incredibly compelling.”

Planned Parenthood is prepared for the respite in Texas to be brief, she says, but is still grateful for the breather. And as for whether Roe v. Wade will be struck down, she says she’ll be looking ahead to a key case in December.

Fox News defends 'brutal' Christopher Columbus: His holiday 'is celebrating the ethnicity of America'

And I can recognize that because like almost all Americans all the way through school I was brainwashed to believe Christoper Columbus was a great man who did great things. But then I read the diaries of Bartolome de las Casas who traveled with Columbus and saw what a stupid ignorant (two different things) monster he really was. And why Columbus needs to be condemned by history instead of honored.

Mutilation and Other Carnage: War Crimes Committed by Columbus
    ICT Staff
Today America celebrates a man who committed obscene slavery, rape and genocide, comparable to the horror perpetrated by Adolf Hitler. Indian Country Today Media Network lists a few of Columbus' most offesnive cruelties inflicted upon the Caribbean inhabitants.

    1. He cut off the hands of roughly 10,000 Natives in Haiti and the Dominican Republic. Columbus mandated every indigenous Taino over the age of 14 provide him with a “hawk’s bell” of gold every three months. Those who failed to meet orders were “punished by having their hands cut off” and were “left to bleed to death,” Columbus’s son Fernando reported.

    2. Columbus punished minor offenses by cutting off Natives' noses and ears.

    3. Columbus combatted resistance by releasing hunting dogs to rip Indians apart. People were “eaten (alive)” and “20 hunting dogs … were turned loose and immediately tore the Indians apart,” wrote Spanish historian and Catholic priest Bartolome de las Casas, who witnessed much of the carnage.

    4. Columbus and his crew hunted Natives for sport and used their bodies for dog food. If their dogs grew hungry, “Arawak babies were killed for dog food,” Bartolome de las Casas reported.

    5. Columbus spearheaded the transatlantic slave trade. When he essentially massacred a whole race in Haiti and the Dominican Republic, he began enlisting Natives from other islands. He would also ship these people to Europe as slaves. When so many of these people died on the journey, the Spanish turned to Africa for slaves. Columbus' son carried out the first Africa-to-Caribbean slave trade in 1505.

    6. Columbus encouraged his men to rape Native women as young as 9 or 10.

In one particular documented example, Columbus shipmate Miguel Cuneo took a teenage “Caribbean girl as a gift from Columbus” when they embarked back to Spain. She “resisted with all her strength” his attempts to have sex with her, so he “thrashed her mercilessly and raped her.”

    7. Columbus ordered his men “to cut off the legs of children who ran from them (in order) to test the sharpness of their blades, according to Bartolome de las Casas. The invaders also reportedly “roasted" children "on spits,” and “hack(ed) the … children into pieces.”

And good old Howard Zinn is another one not fooled by Columbus. Few things could be more beneficial to the American people than to make Zinn's"A People's History of the United States." required reading. It is sad sick and dangerous for Americans to be lied to and brainwashed about the true history of the United States of America.

Top 5 atrocities committed by Christopher Columbus

      • Oct 9, 2019 Updated Oct 14, 2019
It’s difficult to think of a more perverse hero than Christopher Columbus, the Italian who led Europe’s first landing party in the Americas.

From rape, to pillage, to flat-out murder, Columbus and his men were the first Europeans to commit horrendous atrocities against America’s indigenous people.

The following list describes a sampling of reasons why Columbus was an awful person, with
information drawn from Howard Zinn’s "A People's History of the United States."

    'We could subjugate them all'

In his journal, Columbus didn’t mince words about his intentions after meeting the Arawak natives in the Bahamas in 1492. He described the encounter thusly: “They ... brought us parrots and balls of cotton and spears and many other things ... They willingly traded everything they owned ... They were well-built, with good bodies and handsome features .... They do not bear arms, and do not know them, for I showed them a sword, they took it by the edge and cut themselves out of ignorance. They have no iron. Their spears are made of cane. ... They would make fine servants. ... With fifty men we could subjugate them all and make them do whatever we want.” Columbus would add: “As soon as I arrived in the Indies, on the first Island which I found, I took some of the natives by force in order that they might learn and might give me information of whatever there is in these parts.”

    Associated Press file
    Slavery and gold

Columbus had two goals in the Caribbean: to find gold and slaves. Columbus returned home to Spain and came back to the Caribbean with 17 ships and 1,200 men. His men traveled from island to island, taking Indians as captives. In 1495, in a large slave raid, Columbus and his men rounded up 1,500 Arawak men, women, and children, and put them in pens. They selected what they considered the best natives and loaded them onto ships back to Spain. Two hundred died en route. After the survivors were sold as slaves in Spain, Columbus later wrote: "Let us in the name of the Holy Trinity go on sending all the slaves that can be sold."

    Associated Press file
    Blood for gold

But slaves weren’t enough for Columbus or the Spanish monarchy. Columbus needed to bring back gold. Columbus and his crew believed there were gold fields in the province of Cicao on Haiti. He and his men ordered all natives 14 years or older to collect a certain amount of gold every three months. Natives who didn’t collect enough gold had their hands cut off. But it was an impossible tasks. There was virtually no gold around; only a little dust in streams. Many natives fled and were consequently hunted down and killed by the Spaniards.

    Associated Press file
    Cruelty

If captivity and death weren’t enough, Columbus and his men had a particular reputation for cruelty. Bartolome de las Casas, a young priest who participated in the conquest of Cuba and wrote a history of the Indies, describes the treatment of the natives: “Endless testimonies ... prove the mild and pacific temperament of the natives. ... But our work was to exasperate, ravage, kill, mangle and destroy; small wonder, then, if they tried to kill one of us now and then.... The admiral, it is true, was blind as those who came after him, and he was so anxious to please the King that he committed irreparable crimes against the Indians ...“ Las Casas describes how Spaniards rode on the backs of natives. How the Spaniards "thought nothing of knifing Indians by tens and twenties and of cutting slices off them to test the sharpness of their blades." Las Casas adds "two of these so-called Christians met two Indian boys one day, each carrying a parrot; they took the parrots and for fun beheaded the boys."

    Mass genocide

Facing extermination, the Arawaks organized and attempted to fight back against the Spaniards. But they were little match against the armor, muskets, swords and horses of the Europeans. The Spaniards hung or burned Indians that they took captive. By this point, the Arawaks began committing mass suicides. They fed cassava poison to their infants to save them from the Spanish. In two years, half of the 250,000 Indians on Haiti were dead, either through murder, mutilation or suicide. By 1550, there were 500 Indians. By 1650, the Arawaks had been wiped out from the island.

Then slaves where imported to Haiti, for sugar cane production, that is why Haiti is a majority black country, the indigenous population was decimated.

Now we're demonizing the guy who "discovered" America so it could be colonized.
    Seriously.
How about dealing with real world problems for once and not butt hurt liberal whining?

I always have to just laugh at the arrogant woeful ignorance. Columbus did not discover American. 5,000 year old Egyptian mummies tested positive for nicotine and cocaine. Two substances found only in the western hemisphere. They have found second century BC Roman Jars in Guanabara Bay, 15 miles from Rio de Janiero. And Lear Erickson and the Norse landed on what is today the US east coast 500 years before Columbus, So in Columbus we honor an incompetent butcher that didn't discover shit. He just landed last.
