The sun is going to last 10 billion years or so. In the meantime it is in one billion years going to be 10% brighter, and thus earth will no longer be inhabitable as the oceans will evaporate!

Climate change being caused by Humans is a Joke! It is slowly being changed by our Sun itself !

I submitted this conclusion years back, that the Sun has periods where it is more active and more surface explosions were occurring...yet true to form as the tree-hugging followers are, it was also dismissed.

So you two are denying that CO2 is not a greenhouse gas? And that it has not increased in out atmosphere during the last hundred years?

Do you also claim that our waters have not been polluted by human trash/waste?

The sun will expand to a RED Giant which will consume Earth in the process, then shrink to a white dwarf ! Hopefully we will find a way off the rock by then!

I see that the followers of the patron Saint of idiots ( St Trump) are still alive and have learnt to write.
The effects of global warming and the signs of it are all around. They vary from the FACT that multiple parts of the world have posted record annual and decade long temperatures, to physical pictures of the receding ice caps on the poles and high mountains. Not to mention the record fires, hurricanes and rainfalls all over the world.
I wouldn't mind the climate "denyers" spouting their rubbish and even believing it, except that we are on the same planet.

I have been around a lot longer than Trump was in national politics. Trump and maga got nothing to do with it! The Sun gets gradually hotter every year. Lets hope our scientists find a new rock, ( which they actively do) and develop Spaceships ( which they actively do ). So that we can get out of here before our sun becomes a Red Giant and consumes earth. We have time! But will the population have enough sense? That is the question.

You say in your posts that there isn't any proof, how much do you need? Surely photos from space of shrinking icecaps, record temperatures etc suggest that something is happening. Rising co2 levels explain it perfectly, the sea absorbs a lot of it, and measurements of sea water show the rise.

But the senile dumb fuck is as retarded as the rest of you libtards, and can't even get that right. Yes believe, all you are told, stand proud of the knowledge they give you, trust only them, if not, well than all the truths will be clear as day, and the criminals you cherish will prove your ignorance, as their criminal acts unravel for the world to see. But don't try to give me your bullshit, for time is moving faster than global warming, and you will only embarrass your self more. Shooter read an article that he wanted to share.
Can't find it now, but here goes.
The question was, how high would the oceans rise if every man, woman, and child jumped in the ocean.
Now, imagine; every person, all 8 BILLION of us, takes a jump, into the ocean.
How high would the ocean rise?

This was actually a math problem, not a political or climate warming problem, but Shooter was intrigued.
So anyway, the answer was, if all 8 BILLION of us jumped in the ocean, the ocean would rise less than the width of a human hair.
    Really.

    Ah! Here it is!

So if everyone jumped into the sea at the same time the water level would rise by approx. 0.0000000012596685 km which is approx. 0.0012596685 mm or 1.25 nanometers. A human hair varies from approx. 20 - 180 nanometers. These calculations were carried out on a scrappy bit of paper.
What would happen if every person on Earth jumped into the ...

Well I have also posed the theory that in the first book of Genesis: That when "The Spirit of God" hovered over the waters, that it was no God at all! Just perhaps the name of their planet, like we call ours earth! I also pose the theory that they just dropped off and marooned their criminals here, and that they are coming back every now and then to see how we develop as a society !

What Shooter got out of this is that if 8 BILLION people jumping in the ocean barely raise it the width of a human hair, how the fuck does melting ice caps change it enough to drown our coasts?
Someone needs to check the math on that.

The two are not even close enough to compare. Antarctica alone contains 7,250,000,000 cubic miles of ice, the 7,600,000,000 people on the planet equal less than one cubic mile.

The math is actually really simple. If there are about 7 billion people on earth and they all jumped in the ocean at the same time their combined total weight would be approximate 800 billion pounds. While thanks to global warming/climate change we are losing 1.2 TRILLION TONS of ice every year. Which is why sea levels have risen about 8–9 inches since 1880, with about a third of that coming in just the last two and a half decades. And if all the ice in Antarctica , Greenland, and in mountain glaciers melted sea level.s would rise about 230 feet.

There are few thing more tedious on this forum than debunking stupid global warming/climate change denier lies because they just keep telling the same lies over and over again.

Is the Sun causing global warming?
The above graph compares global surface temperature changes (red line) and the Sun's energy received by Earth (yellow line) in watts (units of energy) per square meter since 1880. The lighter/thinner lines show the yearly levels while the heavier/thicker lines show the 11-year average trends. Eleven-year averages are used to reduce the year-to-year natural noise in the data, making the underlying trends more obvious.

The amount of solar energy Earth receives has followed the Sun’s natural 11-year cycle of small ups and downs with no net increase since the 1950s. Over the same period, global temperature has risen markedly. It is therefore extremely unlikely that the Sun has caused the observed global temperature warming trend over the past half-century.

No. The Sun can influence Earth’s climate, but it isn’t responsible for the warming trend we’ve seen over recent decades. The Sun is a giver of life; it helps keep the planet warm enough for us to survive. We know subtle changes in Earth’s orbit around the Sun are responsible for the comings and goings of the ice ages. But the warming we’ve seen in recent decades is too rapid to be linked to changes in Earth’s orbit and too large to be caused by solar activity.

One of the “smoking guns” that tells us the Sun is not causing global warming comes from looking at the amount of solar energy that hits the top of the atmosphere. Since 1978, scientists have been tracking this using sensors on satellites, which tell us that there has been no upward trend in the amount of solar energy reaching our planet.

A second smoking gun is that if the Sun were responsible for global warming, we would expect to see warming throughout all layers of the atmosphere, from the surface to the upper atmosphere (stratosphere). But what we actually see is warming at the surface and cooling in the stratosphere. This is consistent with the warming being caused by a buildup of heat-trapping gases near Earth's surface, and not by the Sun getting “hotter.”

And it is a bit more complicated, ice, water, same substance, why does ice float, it is lighter than water? How does that figure in when calculating mass? Compared to humans, who are 90something, percent water?
But rest assured when nancy says there is a shortage of one of the most abundant, h2O, compounds on the planet, never mind that you can not distroy any element, only change it's state, there must be a shortage.

I said a long time ago , "ask me in a hundred years" .
    about sea level rise.
Climate change has been going on for ever , and included some quite dramatic changes at times.
Archeological evidence tells us here , that locally the sea level (old high tide marks and shoreline human activities) was about 2 feet (60cm) higher than present just a few hundred years ago.

Currently I've been working on and around the sea and coast for quite a few decades in this area , and the family for about 100 years , and there's no obvious rise discernable.
We built and maintained wharves , bridges over estuaries , and fences that ended in the sea (far enough out to prevent stock moving around them) boat sheds etc.
and of course I've used wharves , ramps and facilities all up and down the coast .
The same rocks are covered at high tide and the same rocks exposed at low tide.
The only real movement of shorelines is where humans fucked up along erodable shorelines , like sandy beaches.

We fucked up in several places in the early days , and once we observed and realised what was happening , it took a massive concerted effort to stop the rot and repair the damage , but we did it , and those places are now as they were prior to our unwitting damage.

    Sea level rising ?
    I just don't know.
It is so complicated , with so many factors.
The loss of ice in the Arctic , resulting in that ocean warming , but how much ?
It's the north , with not much sun much of the time anyway.

Rising land , still , after it was depressed by up to several miles thick ice , in the last ice age.
I have seen about one area in Scandinavia where the old shoreline is now 80 feet above the current , and parts of Scotland still rising about an inch a year.

Sinking land , including places like Venice , going down (by subduction) , from memory , about an inch every 10 years , and several feet since it's heyday.
And many other places , like Jakarta ,and Miami.
India still crashing into the Asian plate .
The various subduction zones around the Pacific plate .
The mid Atlantic fracture zone , spreading the plate , and all sorts of tilting around various plates.

Warmer climate , more evaporation , more clouds , more shadow ?

What effect do all of these things have on sea levels ?

There's about 362 million square kilometers of ocean ,
and 148 million square kilometers of land
    on the planet ,
so quite a lot of stuff has to fall of the land , to raise the oceans :)

    How much will ?

Tracking Solar energy output circa '78?...

Now, do you think that is enough time to factually determine that the Sun is not the causation of warming on this Planet?

Now on the other hand we have scientists claiming that the planets temperatures ''may increase 2.5 - 10.4º F'' in the next 80 years, my question how in the fuck can they reasonably determine that.

Short answer...they fucking cant, also claiming that the planet is now the hottest it's been for 400 years...400 years of rising temperatures does not indicate that man is causing or even the sole cause of the warming trend that this planet is experiencing at this time.

Then we have warming on Mars and Pluto as well, that is also suggesting that some global warming may only be ''REGIONAL'' for various reasons..and the winds are a very high reason for regional warming trends.

Now...if Mars and Pluto are having a warming trend with no humans populating either of those planets...why would any reasonable individual believe anything that a political paid entity such as the IPCC/NASA/EPA would have to say with their studies, their own data points that are injected to meet an pre-determined outcome?

Then we get a a rebuttal from the standard 'big government is best' response, not arguing any others suggesting theories, but to just claim ...

And something else that is not being part of any conversation, the time it takes for a single 'cosmic ray' to reach this planet.

It's being illogically claimed that the Sun is not at a active point, yet the planet is still warming.

However over the last 11 year sun spot cycle the planet has warmed a bit more, as the sun was a bit more active, only suggesting that the planet would warm a bit more.

don't argue with me, I've become a democrate and everything I am told is facts, the democrates even have articles written to prove it. Words published are true, period. Except if written by republicans, than it is all lies lies lies. Trust me, I only believe something if it is on the democratic agenda, that way I know it is what I believe and must be true. No need to look any further.
