President Trump endorses Claudia Tenney for Congress

The president has announced his support for former Rep. Claudia Tenney (R-N.Y.). President Trump endorsed Tenney on Twitter, commending her on her past in Congress.

The Republican congressional candidate quickly responded by saying she was honored to have the president’s support and that Upstate New York is excited to join him in the “great American comeback.”





Tenney got her political start in 2002 by representing New York State Assemblyman David Townsend as his legal council and chief of staff. She went on to win the 2016 election, serving in Congress until she was unseated in 2018.

As a small business owner and military mother, Tenney is running on a conservative platform that opposes unnecessary taxation while supporting active and retired military.

“Republicans and Democrats…all across Central New York get up and fight for their families, for their jobs,” stated the congressional candidate. “That’s who I’ll fight for in Congress.”

Tenney is a vocal advocate for the Second Amendment and was the first to introduce a bill to repeal New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo’s restrictive Safe Act. If she wins the Republican primary, she will face off in a rematch with Anthony Brindisi (D-N.Y.), who edged her out by less than two percent.

 

N.M. GOP candidate Claire Chase releases ad against Democrat proposed gun law

New Mexico Republican congressional candidate Claire Chase is speaking out against new gun legislation in the state. Chase released a campaign ad on Thursday and said the proposed ‘red flag’ gun law approved by the state’s Democrat-led legislature is unconstitutional.



The legislation allows law enforcement officers to take guns away from individuals who they think pose a danger to themselves or others. Chase and other gun rights advocates have said the legislation doesn’t allow legal due process and is based on unconfirmed evidence.

“This piece of legislation is an attack on our constitutional rights that would make ‘innocent until proven guilty’ into ‘guilty until proven innocent,’” she said. “Today, I have a few words for those liberals in Santa Fe: Come and take ‘em.”

 

And she'll be running against a centrist Democrat in a centrist district. Not sure how much Trump's endorsement will matter.

 

President Trump endorses Beth Van Duyne for Congress

President Trump is throwing his support behind Beth Van Duyne for Congress. The president posted on Twitter that Van Duyne has his full endorsement for Congress. He said she is a “strong conservative who supports border security (and) loves our military.”




He added she has done “great things as Mayor of Irving, Texas, and with my administration.”

The former mayor quickly responded by saying the president wants people in office who are going to work for the American people.

“He’s not looking for politicians, he’s looking for people who are able to bring solutions to the table and get things done,” she said. “I was very proud to be able to get his support yesterday.”

Van Duyne set out on her political career in 2004 as a city council member for the Dallas suburb of Irving. Six years later, she was elected as the city’s first female mayor.

In 2017, the president appointed her to be the Regional Director of U.S. Housing and Urban Development.

If elected, Van Duyne said she will work to stop drug cartels from finding a safe haven in sanctuary cities and secure the nation’s borders. She said these efforts have attributed to her city’s record low crime rates.

“What happened in our city of Irving is our crime rate plummeted,” she said. “We had the lowest crime rate in our city’s history, and that lasted for nine years.”

Along with border security, the former mayor and mother of two has promised to work with the president to promote economic opportunity for Americans and fight human trafficking.

 

It's the message that wins.

Trump won that district by over 15 points in '16.

 

Considering the district she's running for I'm willing to bet she wins. Her opponent barely one in the first place and I heard she's got AOC giving her grief on top of that.

Now when it comes to my so called representative I'm not too sure. I am sure if Nancy Pelosi makes any sudden stops then she has something to worry about.

Republican Eric Early poised to challenge Rep. Adam Schiff

California congressional candidate Eric Early is currently in position to challenge Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) for his seat in the House. Results from Super Tuesday showed the Republican attorney ahead of six other challengers and just behind Schiff.

Early has said he is fighting to address housing, immigration and, most of all, homelessness in the region. He claimed Schiff has neglected his district by spending too much time “seeking the limelight” in D.C.

Last week, the attorney walked the streets of Los Angeles to get an up-close view of the homeless crisis. He sought to touch base with the lives affected by it and to find proper solutions.

 

GOP candidate Dalia al-Aqidi on challenging Ilhan Omar, being ignored by mainstream media​

Dalia al-Aqidi tells 'Fox & Friends' that she's running for Congress because Rep. Ilhan Omar is doing 'irreparable harm' to the country with her 'hatred and racism.'

Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn, has become a household name as a member of the so-called Democratic "Squad" that was elected to Congress in 2018. The Somali-born member of the House has quickly become a prominent voice of the progressive left often at the center of controversy, from her war of words with President Trump to allegations of engaging in anti-Semitic rhetoric.

Dalia al-Aqidi is hoping to defeat Omar and turn her seat red in November.

Growing up in Iraq under the rule of dictator Saddam Hussein, al-Aqidi said she felt like a "hostage" without the freedom to express herself, as the Iraqi regime controlled the media and forbade any criticism of the government.

"Freedom was a forbidden word. Freedom was a word that we dreamt of and that we yearned for," al-Aqidi told the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) audience in late February.


In 1988, al-Aqidi and her family fled Iraq and arrived in the United States as refugees, and she later became an American citizen. She emerged as a broadcast journalist to audiences in the Middle East to push back against "poisonous" regional outlets like Al Jazeera.

As a Muslim immigrant and an outspoken supporter of President Trump, al-Aqidi vows to give back to the country she loves so much by running for Congress and seeking to help flip Minnesota's 5th District seat in the House of Representatives back to Republicans. She competes in her primary race on April 5.

Speaking to Fox News' Media Angle at CPAC, al-Aqidi took a shot at CNN, talked about how her background as a journalist helps her on the campaign trail, and how she thinks the media can restore trust with the American people.

Personally, I see some mild conflicts with her history, but I admit that I didn't read this article in in entirety.

Omar perpetually plays the refugee, victim, Somali, muslim, racist, gender card, when will she define herself as an American 1st outside the context of victim hood.

 

I dont support ''Republicans'', I support Constitutionalists.

She wont be a Constitutionalist, she will be a RINO, and yes that will be a far better representative for the 5th District in Minnesota.

Minnesota has a damn good chance of going Red, which will be very beneficial for the Nation as a whole.

Trump snubs Sessions, endorses Tuberville in Alabama Senate primary runoff

In a snub to his former attorney general, President Trump endorsed former Auburn University football coach Tommy Tuberville -- Jeff Sessions’ primary opponent -- in the GOP Alabama Senate race.

“Tommy Tuberville is running for the U.S. Senate from the Great State of Alabama,” Trump tweeted Tuesday night. “He is a REAL LEADER who will never let MAGA/KAG, or our country down!”

Trump fired Sessions as attorney general in November 2018 after he recused himself from the Justice Department’s Russia investigation.

Both Tuberville and Sessions will be on the GOP ticket on March 31 after no candidate received 50 percent of the vote in last week’s GOP primary. Tuberville and Sessions were the top two vote-getters, with 33 percent and 32 percent, respectively, on Super Tuesday.

President Trump tore into Sessions after his failure to secure a majority of the votes in the primary.

 

President Trump endorses Navy pilot Mike Garcia for Calif.’s 25th District

The president has endorsed former Navy pilot Mike Garcia for Congress. President Trump took to Twitter on Saturday, where he announced Mike has his complete and total endorsement.

He called the congressional candidate for California’s 25th district a great fighter pilot, a hero and a brilliant Annapolis graduate. The president added that Mike “will never let you down.”

Garcia has said he is running to ensure Californians do not fall victim to socialist and far-left Democrat policies, which he claimed have already devastated much of the state.

“I left the 25th district in 1994 to serve my nation. I was blessed to attend the U.S. Naval Academy and fly combat missions over Iraq as a 5-18 pilot. I came home in 2009, because there’s no better place to live in this world. A special election is set to take place on May 12th, when Garcia will have to beat out Democrat candidate and current state assemblywomen Christy Smith. The winner will replace Rep. Katie Hill, who resigned from the seat in November of 2019.

I doubt that Trump will have coattails in the 2020 election. According to the Five Thirty Eight average of 5 recent polls 51.4% of voters oppose Trump; 43.4% support him. According to Five Thirty Eight Trump is the only president on record who has never had majority support.

As the nation is aware, a special election was held Tuesday in California to fill the unexpired term of former Rep. Katie Hill, who resigned after an ethics scandal in October 2019. In the last month both President Trump and Barack Obama have relentlessly pushed for their party’s candidate on social media, as have heavyweights from both sides of the aisle.

As of 11:00 p.m. Pacific, it looks like Republican Mike Garcia is going to fill that term, flipping the seat from blue to red – the first such flip in more than 20 years. In fact, Garcia holds a 12-point lead over Democrat Christy Smith.
