Found a photo of my 23 year old daughter the day she was born. Dawned on me how old I am

 

When I had to go for my first colonoscopy. Getting up 3 or 4 times a night to take a piss, was a good sign. When I no longer took pills for fun anymore, and started taking blood pressure pills, and cholesterol pills.

When I was no longer shooting 4 or 5 impressive ropes over my head. When my luscious, soft, luxurious, curly pubic hair turned to Brillo. When it no longer was just a fart. I'm depressed now

 

every time i wake up hurting so bad i cant sleep
but mentally i still sometimes fee like am i really that old

 

I wake up, I stand up and I stretch. A few things might go snap, crackle or pop along the way but I’m vertical. Any lingering adverse effects of age normally fade into oblivion with the first cup of coffee.

 

I dunno - maybe I should feel old, but I don't. My back has been a major problem since I was 21, but it serves me well enough - just not playing any more basketball.

I don't even feel old when I talk to young 'uns at work who say shit like. "Oh, The Beatles - my grandma loves them."

There is no point in feeling old. At any age, there is only a point in feeling alive.

 

Having people think my wife and kids were my daughter and my grandkids LOL. And realizing I have probably "aged out" of some of the things I haven't yet done.. for example I heard they are setting an age limited on the hike to Machu Pichu.

 

I also finally had to play the age card at work. Our labor contract requires work load adjustments be made for aging employees starting at age 55. I am 62 almost 63 and I have the largest assigned work volume of anyone in my office. And that has been growing significantly with the Pandemic. The young guys ask me how I do it! But 50 to 60 hours a week since July has been brutal and I finally bitched to union and management only to be told all adjustments are on hold due to the Pandemic. I guess they plan on working me to death.

 

When my cousins has me baby sit her kid and he sees my old video games in a box in the closet. It was like watching a archaeologist discover some mid evil tool. Just questioning how you connect this saga genius online and who is toe jam and earl.

 

Somehow I keep drinking people under the table don't really feel that old except for the fact I've felt old since my teen years

 

Realizing I'm closer to 40 than 18 lol

 

Just turned 50. Still horny as fuck and still able to do anything imaginable. Just wish the wife had some libido. She struggles through sex once a week due to menopause.

The young boy who was the ring bearer at my wedding is now 32, married and his wife is having a baby.

I don't even wanna tlk about all the things that make me feel old. I'm not even fucking 50 yet. Holy hell nobody warned me enough how much things change after 40. Just sayin, i really needed more warning!! Lol

 

When radio DJs come on and describe bands like Green Day, AIC, and A7X as 'classics' and oldies. I was shocked the first time I heard them mentioned like that, and that was a couple of years back.

 

I'm recently drawing Social Security, have my medicare card and paid so many dues... then Covid!!!
I guess I still owe something, funny how life just slips past so fast.

 

I went into a shop and saw some "antique" toys for sale. They were toys I played with a a kid!

 

Feeling old right now. Turned 40 in December. Starting to get quite a few gray in my facial hair and hairline is receding.
