Mine sucked. I just spent 3 days change management consulting on the referral from an acquaintance, and today was just so batshit insane I have decided to forfeit the contract. I’m never stepping foot in that building again. I won’t even call them if they don’t pay my invoice.

Because I had an especially heavy shopping cart today, every one had to cut in front of me, stop suddenly, or stop right in the middle of the isle.

Very tiring,, spent all day from very early this morning humping up and down hills and valley's,, with 40 pound in the bergen

 

Ok...you asked so bear with me, this will be my longest post.
My In-laws (mom, dad, brother & 97 year old Grandma) live in Ohio.
Mom and dad just happen to be out of town today... Grandma gets a call from someone claiming her grandson (our son) is in jail facing serious charges.
These mother fuckers even put a boy on the phone pleading with Great Grandma to get him out of jail. Even fucking claimed "they" broke his nose. (So she couldn't recognize his voice).
They wanted $9,300 for bail.
The brother in law finally got it out of her and she's no simple minded woman even at 97.
The wife got a call from her brother and she had my son call Great Grandma to reassure her he was ok.
I'm about to lose faith in humanity......Who the fuck does that?!
WHO THE FUCK DOES THAT!!!
Not only could they have scammed a 97 year old woman out of almost $10k.... they could've given her a heart attack and killed her.
I'm beside myself with anger right now.

 

That is an old scam. I'm surprised they're still trying it.

 

My day was Shit !

 

Too late to edit... I left out a couple things but I'm seeing red right now.
I'm usually a happy, go lucky guy but this sort of shit gets under my fucking skin.

 

Mine was spot on perfect!

Slept in ‘til 4 AM, coffee was already brewed, relaxed while the Advil did it’s magic on my knees. Dog crawled out at 5:30, we did the walk and took care of business with no problems.

Breakfast at 6:30, Spent the day tinkering with my new electrical panel I’m building, simple lunch (left over grilled chicken sandwich), now I’m kicking back with a drink on the bow watching the wildlife.

Feeling bad for y’all.

 

Mine was pretty nice. I visited the Natural History Museum at Morro Bay State Park, hiked around Morro Rock and watched a group of about 50 Otters in the Kelp bed. Then we walked along the beach picking up sand dollars. There are thousands of perfect sand dollars on the Strand here.
Then we shared a clam chowder bread bowl and fish and chips at the waterfront.
The rest is classified.......
It was a good day.

 

Scammers don't really phase me. It's just an aspect of the criminal world. People will fuck you over if you leave yourself open. It's a cold world. I still remember the first time I ran into a professional city scammer. I was really impressed at how believable and talented she was. You don't get that level of commitment to it where I'm from.

My day was pretty decent. Much nicer out today than it has been.

Even if it wasn't, I wouldn't divulge that much information about it. I've had some really bad days but other people have had worse ones than me. It's all relative.

 

Had a pretty good day. I didn't have to work. So hopefully I can share some good karma with you! I started to read the article you linked, but was kind of ready for a nap. Seems like it would be something good to read on the way into work tomorrow... Thanks.

When I took baths, it was basically step in and settle down, no fuss, no muss. Haven't had one in years, though, since I switched to showers. Feels cleaner than sitting in dirty bathwater.

My Wednesday was sublime. Slept in. Had brunch with a couple of charming ladies. Played a round of golf. Ate some Poke. Watched a surprisingly well-done movie ("Eighth Grade", btw Bo Burnham just went up another notch or two on my favorite story-tellers list...) Enjoyed a quiet wind down of music and fun . Life is good.

 

I knew I'd posted that article from The Cut on men entering baths here, but damned if I could remember where.
