I could think of a lot of things to tell myself that would have improved my life. The problem is other people told me many of those same things also. I didn't listen to them and I don't think I would listen to this either. I have to learn the hard way. It's my nature........

 

Only 30 years ago it is too late. Let me go back to when I was 5 and it would make a difference. I would teach myself to meditate and I would tell myself that I have a right to exist. Stuff like that can be quick to teach and still take a lifetime to learn.

 

I'd have invested in Amazon.

 

As long as that five minutes includes the ability to pass on physical objects. I'm thinking, a book. Give me a month to write a "report" on my current life. But then again, any information that is passed on, with the intent of making a change, any change will result in a different outcome, so subsequent changes will no longer apply... Focus on one moment, or range of moments, to make one change. You need the ability to choose that exact moment, if you could possibly determine that specific instant. Mine would probably be in 1994 through 96, and make sure my younger self continued with the dance classes...

 

Well I already had made enough stupid mistakes by 40 but I still could ensure to omit a few more.
And most of All I'd tell myself to cherish my Bunny as I'd only have her for 17 more years.

 

I'd tell him to stop giving a fuck what neighborhood tough guys think or say because you'll be lucky if you don't end up in jail or dead and to not be afraid to try things that are dramaticized in after school specials and sitcoms. Drinking, having sex, or trying weed won't kill you. Swear I was the weirdest potential future criminal in history. I am at least proud of the fact that I never fought an unfair fight or got into that whole shoplifting bullshit so many kids in my neighborhood did though.

Oh, and pursue something with any girl you like regardless of what anybody else thinks. There's one in particular I'll probably always regret never asking out despite how not at all subtly she made her interest known. Oh well. Live and learn.
