I have been watching Press Secretaries since before Helen Thomas was senile. And those who have not do not realize the Press Secretary's job is to not say any fucking thing. Not outside the agenda. Not outside the real problem. Not anything outside intelligence briefings. I think that is why they have the shortest life expectancy in media. Not saying anything about the most powerful office in the world is totally exhausting.

And I have never seen anyone do that better than Jen Psaki. Socrates would be proud of her.

Newsmax personality Emerald Robinson embarrassed herself on Friday during the White House daily press briefing.

"Given the number of former Obama administration officials that are now in the Biden administration and the president's relatively light schedule, there's a growing perception that this is really just the third term of President Obama. What do you say to people who say that?" Robinson asked.

"Who were saying that?" press secretary Jen Psaki asked. "Who's saying that?"

"You've heard that a lot in the media," Robinson replied.

"Who in the media," Psaki asked.

"Different people," Robinson replied, clearly unable to provide a single example.

I just have to keep going back to this. Its not just that Jen Psaki is the best press secretary I've ever seen its also by how far. Psaki is so good its like she invented the daily WH press briefings and is putting on a master class on how they should be run.

WATCH: Jen Psaki delivers ‘a master class in public communications’ while shutting down Newsmax

    Bob Brigham

White House press secretary Jen Psaki was praised on Friday for the calm way she debunked the premise of a question from the far-right cable network Newsmax.

The issue of political operatives using White House briefings for political purposes came to prominence during the George W. Bush administration.

"The White House faced fresh accusations of a clandestine propaganda campaign yesterday after it emerged it granted regular access to a rightwing blogger with a habit of asking President Bush easy questions. Jeff Gannon, who represented a rightwing site owned by a Texas-based Republican activist, had been a regular at White House briefings since 2003 but aroused reporters' suspicions after posing ideologically loaded questions," The Guardian reported in February of 2005.

"The fake White House correspondent quit his job at the Talon News site on Wednesday after liberal bloggers found he had been operating under a pseudonym, and that he was linked to several gay pornographic web domain addresses under his real idenity, James Guckert," The Guardian explained. "Subsequent inquiries by liberal bloggers uncovered Gannon's links to gay porn domain addresses under his real name, and a posted photograph of a man posing in his underwear with his initials. The exposure prompted Gannon to resign his job at Talon, although he has shown no remorse about his conduct at the White House."

In December, NPR's Steve Inskeep asked Psaki how she would deal with far-right activists in the briefing room.

"How do you think you will engage the right-wing media ecosystem, if I can call it that?" Inskeep asked. "I'm thinking of networks like Fox, but also OANN and Newsmax that have larger and larger audiences."

Psaki replied she will, "rely on my experience at the State Department, there were many, many days where there were journalists — I'm air quoting that — who are from Russia or China, essentially arms of the government, you know, arms of the state-run media. And we let them in the briefing room, and they ask questions, and sometimes I had a little fun with them, you know, about who they were asking the question on behalf of."

"In terms of, you know, [OANN] and kind of other right-wing entities? I don't think my job as the White House press secretary is to give them a bigger platform. But at the same time, when we're at a point when it's COVID-safe and there is a full briefing room, I also don't think it's my job to keep people out," she explained.

This approach was on display on Friday when Psaki out-witted Newsmax personality Emerald Robinson.

"Given the number of former Obama administration officials that are now in the Biden administration and the president's relatively light schedule, there's a growing perception that this is really just the third term of President Obama. What do you say to people who say that?" Robinson asked.

"Who were saying that?" Psaki asked. "Who's saying that?"

"You've heard that a lot in the media," Robinson replied.

"Who in the media," Psaki repeated.

"Different people," Robinson replied without listing a single example.

This is something I don't think I have ever seen before but then again I've never seen the US try to pull itself out of a pandemic and economic collapse before. But at least so far President Biden can't seem to lose for winning. He and his administration can take any event and apply it to the reasons to pass to their agenda. One of which is while President Biden has not yet been able to increase the minimum wage to $15 per hour his administration constantly pushes businesses to pay a living wage.

But President Biden has a lot of help because he has surrounded himself with some of the best, brightest, and most experienced people in government. With Jen Psaki being near the top of that list.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki pushed back on Fox News reporter Peter Doocy over the notion that extra unemployment benefits depressed job creation, citing several other factors which included vaccination rates and the “need to pay a livable wage.”

At Monday’s daily briefing, Doocy noted the lower-than-expected jobs report for last month, noting “employment only rose by about 266,000 jobs in April out of 7.4 million or so job openings,” and asking “How does the White House know that people are just choosing not to apply for jobs because the extra unemployment benefits are so good?”

Psaki told Doocy that the administration doesn’t “see much evidence that the extra unemployment insurance is a major driver in people not rejoining the workforce,” and added that “the data and our analysis shows that lack of vaccination, the lower rate — which is why I referred to the data in the week that it was taken — it has an impact. Childcare has an impact. Schools reopening has an impact.”

“But there is also the need to pay a livable working wage, and that’s one of the reasons the President will talk about that this afternoon,” Psaki said.

Citing an analysis that shows “anybody making less than $32,000 a year is better off financially just taking the unemployment benefits,” Doocy asked “Is the White House creating an incentive just to stay home?”

Psaki replied that the “majority of economists, internally and externally of the White House” don’t think the extra UI is “a major driver in our unemployment data; that there are other factors — bigger factors — that were contributing — have been contributing to the numbers we saw on Friday.”

Doocy also asked about comments that Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo made over the weekend, asking “The Commerce Secretary says the main reason that people are staying home is fear. How does the White House know that people are scared? What is that based on?”

Psaki replied that Raimondo was referring to the “much lower vaccination rate just a month ago.”

“And that people are fearful about getting sick. They are fearful about whether they’re going to have the conditions to be healthy — whether they can send their kids to a childcare center, whether there is a childcare center. So those are all factors that are consistent with the examples and reasons I just provided,” Psaki said.

OF COURSE the white house is going to say paying people more in unemployment benefits than they made before the pandemic isn't keeping them from accepting jobs. And of course the press secretary is going to lie for her boss.

The hell else are they gonna say, as they push their agenda of reliance on big government for everything?

    The reality is, paying people "bonus" unemployment defeats the time proven incentives people on unemployment have to return to work. In addition, at the beginning of the pandemic states rushed to eliminate the need for a job search (why they did that is a whole separate story) and greatly relaxed the requirements for receipt of unemployment. To be clear, it has always been an automatic requirement that those receiving unemployment;

Be able to accept full time employment
Be conducting an active job search
Have no unreasonable restrictions on their availability
Have a demonstrated attachment to the labor force
Be unemployed "through no fault of their own"

Now with the pandemic states pretty much did away with the requirements of being available for, seeking, and willing to accept work.

So, biden/harris were lying when they said refusing work will get your benefits terminated.
and, they were lying when they said the bonus unemployment payments didn't effect people's willingness to accept job offers.

    Need more proof?
The unemployment rate has not dropped below 6% during the biden/harris administration. This means that there are more people unemployed than there are job openings. But employers are saying we have jobs, people aren't accepting them when we offer them.

WATCH: Jen Psaki Gleefully Picks Apart Tom Cotton Proposal Targeting ‘Un-American’ Ideas Like Critical Race Theory and 1619 Project

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reacted with obvious amusement to a question about Republican Senator Tom Cotton’s proposal to tax universities that promote what he calls “Un-American ideas.”

At Thursday’s daily briefing, Psaki was asked about Cotton’s so-called “Ivory Tower Tax Act,” which he claims would tax universities that are “indoctrinating our youth with un-American ideas.”

Psaki spent a few minutes interrogating the reporter about Cotton’s proposal with ostentatious relish, before expressing support for the ideas that Cotton opposes:

Q Yes. Senator Tom Cotton says the nation’s wealthiest colleges are indoctrinating young people with what he calls “un-American ideas.” He’s proposing a new tax targeting the largest private endowments. He says it would raise $2 million a year.

I wonder: Does the President believe that our largest — our wealthiest schools are indoctrinating our youth with un-American ideas? And would he support such a tax? Is it a good idea?

MS. PSAKI: Now you’ve intrigued me. What are the un-American ideas that are indoctrinating our youth?

Q The legislation doesn’t lay out the precise —

MS. PSAKI: Oh, he’s not specific about the indoctrination by leaders from universities?

Q Well, he’s been critical, for example, of the 1619 Project. He’s been critical and spoken about critical race theory. He’s — he’s claimed that there’s a liberal bias on campus that targets conservatives — I think would be a way to put it.

MS. PSAKI: What’s he going to do with the money?

Q He wants to use it for programs for — my mind — I’m having a hard time coming up with the word — when you have job training, those sorts of things.

MS. PSAKI: Well, without much detail of where he thinks our youth are being indoctrinated, it sounds very mysterious and dangerous, but — although I don’t think that — I don’t think we would think — we believe that educating the youth and next — the leaders of the — future leaders of the country on systemic racism is indoctrination. That’s actually responsible.

But, I would say, if he’s trying to raise money for something, then our view is there’s lots of ways to do that. We know that a number of corporations hugely benefited financially during the pandemic. They could pay more taxes. We think the highest 1 percent of Americans can pay more taxes. And if he wants to have a conversation about worker training, we’d love to have him over and have that conversation.

Cotton responded to the exchange on Twitter, writing “There’s nothing responsible or accurate about critical race theory, which teaches that people are defined by their race.”

He also posted a lengthy Twitter thread railing against Critical Race Theory in response to Psaki.

If you have ever read Socrates you know his method of questioning is designed to expose ignorance lies and false propaganda. And Jen Psaki is the first press secretary I have ever seen employ the Socratic Method on reporters. And it just destroys the right wing hacks because they can't defend their lies.

Also there is a very simple reason why President Biden and Vice President Harris are not personally visiting the border which is they don't want to turn it into a publicity stunt when that does nothing to solve the problems. They have agencies in charge of dealing with the surge in migrants at the border which they trust to solve the immediate problems while they work on real solutions at a much higher level.

In other words they are not Trump and aren't going to behave like him,

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki badgered a reporter who asked her to respond to “those who are criticizing” President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for not visiting the southern border, repeatedly asking him to identify the critics.

Psaki has made a habit of quizzing reporters who ask “people are saying” questions, and Friday provided a rather extreme example of the form when a reporter asked about unidentified critics who want the president or the VP to visit the border — where the number of unaccompanied minors in Border Patrol custody has dropped by more than 90 percent since the beginning of April.

Eventually, the reporter was able to name a single critic:

Q And what do you say to those who are criticizing the President and Vice President, who have not, to date, made a in-person visit to the Southwest border?

MS. PSAKI: Who are tho- — who are those?

Q Those who have criticized. There have been —

    MS. PSAKI: Like who?

Q There have been lots of people criticizing the fact that they’ve not made the — a trip to the border yet.

    MS. PSAKI: Like who?

Q Criticism from those in the Republican Party, criticism from others.

MS. PSAKI: Well, I don’t know who I’m responding to, but what I will say is that the President’s focus and the —

Q I’ll say that, just the other day, one of the senators held a press conference where that was a major criticism — the fact that —

MS. PSAKI: “One of the senators.” Okay.

    Q Yes.

MS. PSAKI: Well, the President —

    Q Senator Scott.

    MS. PSAKI: Senator —

    Q Senator Rick Scott.

MS. PSAKI: Senator Rick Scott. Okay. Well, the President’s focus and the Vice President’s focus is on solutions. And what our — what we’ve seen over the past several months is that, while we came in and there were — was little preparation for what was going to be a surge of migrants at the border, what we’ve done since then is rapid — or is massively reduced the number of children who are at Border Patrol facilities from over 5,000 to under 1,000 — the pro- — the number is probably even lower than that now — and massively reduced the number of hours that these children are spending in these facilities.

So, our focus is on working in — through the interagency process, pressing to eliminate bureaucracy, and making sure that we’re taking steps that treat them in a humane and moral way. And we’re less worried about press conferences or political games that are being played by some.

You have to feel sorry for Jen though.
Can you imagine the conversations with the President in advance of a press conference?

    Good Morning Mr. President
    Alfalfa!
What do you want me to tell the press about visits to the border.
    Can I sniff your hair?
Mr. President, no fewer than 4 reporters are asking about visits to the border, and as you know, we promised that if they would e Mail me the questions in advance, we'd give them answers besides "We'll circle back on that"
You're pretty. Come sit on dada's lap!
How about if we tell them that we're arranging a visit one day next week?
Why don't purple crayons taste like grapes?
So, Psaki could then of course check with Harris, who would tell her to use the old lawyer trick of answering a question you don't want to answer with a question.

And you have to feel sorry for apologizers like stumbler, cause he's left with nothing but weak spin involving dead philosophers.

‘Sounds Like a Rock Band’: Reporter Asks Psaki if President Biden Will Ever Be Driven in ‘An Electric Beast’

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was asked whether President Joe Biden will ever be driven around in an “Electric Beast,” a play on the nickname given to the presidential limousine.

Biden travelled to Dearborn, Michigan Tuesday, where he will tour the Ford Rouge Electric Vehicle Center, and then deliver a speech about his infrastructure proposal’s investment in electric vehicles.

En route to those events, Psaki gaggled with reporters aboard Air Force One, where the subject of the federal government’s own conversion to electric vehicles came up.

“Generally on the electric car, do you know if any vehicles in the White House fleet are electric?” Psaki was asked by a reporter, who then added “Is he ever going to have an ‘Electric Beast?'”

To laughter from the cabin, he quipped “That sounds good, doesn’t it? An electric Beast. Sounds like a rock band.”

“An electric beast, sounds like a lion!” Psaki said, then answered “That is certainly our objective, but I can get you an update on what the timeline is for that, that’s certainly something that the president has talked about, and is an objective for him.”

“People could say it’s ironic going in a huge gasoline motorcade to visit an electric car,” the reporter said.

“Well I think it’s going to take some time to continue to grow the electric vehicle industry in our country, that’s why the president believes there needs to be a historic investment, and certainly he’s talked about what we can do from the federal fleet as well, and we can see if there’s more of an update from DoT on the timeline for that,” Psaki responded.

So Americans waiting to see President Biden come riding down Pennsylvania Ave. on an electric lion might just be in luck.

So, what with canceling the pipeline and helping out Russia with their pipeline, and Russia sabotaging ours and gas prices increasing and availability slipping Joe is gonna need to either restrict his travel (along with the rest of us) or get the boys cracking on his slot car design.

Anyone wanna bet the biden/harris administration will be calling on patriotic Americans to curtail those travel plans this year?

Well, with biden Shooter thinks it will be more a case of destruction by idiot.
joe is just not that aware any more of what's really going on, so his destruction will be out of ignorance.

Now, Kamala and her crew on the other hand are about as evil as we've seen in the oval office in decades.

Jen Psaki buries Fox News’ Peter Doocy: Trying to ‘disprove a negative’ is ‘never the responsible approach’

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki once again was challenged by Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, who regularly tries to create news, often by leaning into right wing conspiracy theories, as he did on Thursday.

"House Republicans are claiming that they have 'significant circumstantial evidence' that COVID-19 originated in a lab," Doocy told Psaki, hewing to Fox News and right wing talking points. "Has the White House seen any circumstantial evidence that it did not, originate in a lab?"

Psaki appeared unconcerned with Doocy's latest attempt to make headlines, and stuck to her usual role of educator when speaking to the Fox News reporter.

"Well I think first I would caution you against disproving a negative there, which is never the responsible approach in our view when it comes to getting to the bottom of the root causes of a pandemic that has killed hundreds of thousands of people in the United States."

Psaki went on to address Doocy's question directly.

"I will say that our view continues to be there needs to be an independent, transparent investigation and that needs to happen with the cooperation and data provided from the Chinese government. We don't have enough information at this point to make an assessment," she added.

    Now see, thats funny.
Doocy asked a simple question: "Has the White House seen any circumstantial evidence that it did not, originate in a lab?"

He didn't ask Psaki to prove a negative, or in fact to prove or disprove anything. He asked what, if anything, the white house knew about it.

Psaki clearly didn't want to answer a simple question so instead she takes a hard left out into the weeds.

Shooter thinks Psaki has been around biden/harris too much.
