First of all mask do not work .
The Chinese virus isn’t as dangerous as we are all being led to believe . Even the Chinese are not wearing mask anymore.

 

Second of all Constitutional Supporters are not dangerous as you are led to believe .
These are people who stand up for our constitution which everyone in the country should it protects everyone not just Trump supporters . I Nancy Pelosi Realizes and uses every day ., Never over 1/2 of 1 million People in DC the other day about 10 people caused trouble that’s reality other people took Selfies .

No question that masks work, the question is how well do they work and when do they need to be worn.

As I understand it, masks do reduce the broadcasting of aerosols into the area immediately around the wearer, they do not stop the aerosols from being expelled. Most of the expelled aerosols are reentered into the hosts airways. So the masks do not help the wearer avoid the virus at all, but insure that any airborne viruses stay with the host. Wearing a mask when the person is not in close proximity to others, the current thinking is 6’ or 2 meters, then seems counter productive.

The frequent washing of hands or using hand sanitizers is also questionable, when people are not in public areas, or recently having left public areas. From my understanding, too frequent use of antibacterial products actually reduces the immunity one has against infection.

Social distancing, masks on when not and washing hands when exposed to potential viral deposits are good practices. Wearing masks while all alone in your vehicle or while being alone outside makes no sense at all.

I normally stay out of political threads because #1 I see enough of it on the news and other social media, so when I come here I usually stay away from it. As a firefighter/first responder, I can assure you that the Chinese Virus may not be as dangerous as the media is portraying it, but it is nothing to NOT take serious. I know the statistics, only 4-6% (depending on the source) of the deaths from Covid are people who do not have another underlying condition. However, who is to say that the people who had underlying conditions would have died, if they had not contracted Covid? However, the virus is not going to go away. Its going to be like the flu, the best thing people can do is whatever they feel the safest doing. If wearing a mask makes you feel better, by all means, where a mask. If you are in the high risk group, stay away from crowds. Wash your hands and social distance, do whatever you feel you need to do, to feel safe.

 

I'd add to that advice, It would wise for us to listen to someone who has spent his life in the pursuit of making money, and has selfish goals and surely not any one who has wasted their life on studying infectious diseases.

Well, couple of thoughts for you;
First, wearing a mask isn't some major event in your day. You go to the store, slip it on. How is that such a big burden? If it keeps you from being infected, or keeps you from infecting, then it's worth it, right?
But, even if it doesn't stop infections, or isn't very effective at stopping infections, so what? Not a big issue is it?

Second, yeah, we've been subjected to a whole world of panic reports about how
"WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE AND IT'S TRUMPS FAULT!!"
And the reality is, Covid isn't nearly as bad as it's being marketed to us. But, it ain't the flu either, and yes, it will kill your ass if you aren't careful.
It appears that if you have issues, like breathing, and cardiac disease, and kidney issues and so forth, Covid can be a death sentence. So yeah, if you're already compromised, get the hell home and stay there.

But the big issue is the hypocritical approach the authorities have taken.
They tell us how horrible this thing is, and how we MUST cower in place. No public gatherings (Well, not after 10 PM anyway) and no public eating (well, except if you want to eat outside in a tent that is) and no crowded places, you know, like churches and schools (but hey, go to the airport and hop on an enclosed, crowded plane and fly about for a few hours, no problem as long as you wear your mask).

So the thing is, if this Covid is as bad as the authorities are telling us, then SHUT IT THE FUCK DOWN. Everyone home, order what you need on the net and have it delivered, if we catch you out on the street you go straight to quarantine.
No exceptions.

If it isn't as serious as we've been told, then tell the at risk populations to stay home, and lets get back to work.
