What we need to remember is that something that happened before Cawthorn was even born has nothing to do with Cawthorn's lies.

Lol, how do I divert my own thread?

Your post said nothing about Cawthorn! Cawthorn's lies are about his accident that left him paralyzed. That happened well after he was born! Your comments about Vietnam have nothing to do with this thread!

That is the treasonous conservative/Republican method of operation. Just lie constantly and do anything they can to try and deflect and distract from the obvious fact they are lying traitors to the United States of America.

WATCH: Jim Acosta Confronts Madison Cawthorn for Supporting Trump and His Stolen Election Lie

CNN’s Jim Acosta takes the journalistic responsibility of “speaking truth to power,” which was on evidence earlier this week as he visited the Southen US Border visit of former President Donald Trump and challenged several GOP Congressmen of their ongoing support of Trump’s stolen election lies.

Acosta made a bit of news when he shouted, “Trump will you apologize for January 6th?” which was received by lustful boos from the assembled Republican members of Congress for this media event. Never one to shy away from clips of his own confrontation, Acosta played that moment before running a segment of interviews conducted with GOP Representatives like Madison Cawthorn, Jim Banks, and Darrel Issa. The back and forth with Cawthorn provided the most fireworks.

“What are your thoughts on associating yourself with the former president after he gave that speech on January 6th and provoked an insurrection at the capitol?” Acosta asked Cawthorn. “Why associate yourself with him?”

“Well, I think, Jim, you and I both know that I disagree with that assertion; the premise is that he invoked an insurrection,” the freshman congressman replied. “I think he spoke at a rally. What happened on January 6th is despicable, and people should be prosecuted that broke the law. I don’t think there was any provocation from anybody that spoke that day.”

“But he had been telling the big lie for weeks and continues to lie about the election,” Acosta pressed. “Why not find another standard-bearer for the party? Maybe you could be a standard-bearer for the party.”

“I do look forward to being the future of the Republican party, but I think Donald Trump is leading the way on that. You and I know that we have a complete disagreement. I do believe the election was stolen …”

A somewhat surprised Acosta interjected, “You still believe the election was stolen?” to which Cawthorn repeated, “I still believe the election was stolen.”

“Where is the proof of that? It was all rejected by the courts,” Acosta pressed.

“I believe the judicial system failed us,” Cawthorn replied.

Rep. Madison Cawthorn Suggests Biden’s Vax Outreach Is a Plot to Steal Bibles
    ‘GOING DOOR-TO-DOOR’

As President Joe Biden promised a renewed push to vaccinate more Americans amid stalling inoculation rates, Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) said Friday that the immunization drive sounded more to him like a nefarious plot to begin confiscating firearms and doing away with religion. Biden promised that his health department’s new approach would involve trusted local figures like doctors and pastors “literally knocking on doors,” to which the freshman Republican responded, “Now they’re talking about going door-to-door to bring vaccines to the people. Think of the mechanisms they would have to build to be able to actually execute that massive of a thing. Think about what those mechanisms could be used for. They could then go door-to-door to take your guns, to take your Bibles.”

Cawthorn was sitting for an interview at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Dallas. Biden’s pandemic coordinator Jeff Zients said of remarks like Cawthorn’s, “Those individuals and organizations that are feeding misinformation and trying to mischaracterize this type of ‘trusted messenger’ work, I believe you are doing a disservice to the country and to the doctors, the faith leaders, community leaders and others who are working to get people vaccinated, save lives, and help end this pandemic.”

I have been saying for years all the TSA has to do is make carrying a gun in carry on bags a felony where once convicted they can never legally own a gun again and people will stop "forgetting" them. Especially since anyone who can't remember where their gun is has no fucking business owning a gun in the first place.

Freshman Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) tried to bring a Glock 9mm handgun through airport security in Asheville, North Carolina, in February, the Raleigh News & Observer reported. The incident was first revealed in audio obtained by FireMadison.com, a group trying to drive the far-right Cawthorn from the halls of Congress. But according to the 25-year-old legislator’s spokesman, the entire dustup was just a simple mistake. “Five months ago, while boarding a flight, Rep. Cawthorn erroneously stowed a firearm in his carry-on (that often doubles as a range bag) instead of his checked bag,” Cawthorn spokesman Micah Bock said in a statement. “The firearm was secured, and unchambered. Rep. Cawthorn endeavors to always follow TSA guidelines, and quickly rectified this situation before boarding his flight.”

“If you and I did that, we’d be detained. We’d be questioned. The gun would be secured. A report would be written. We certainly wouldn’t make our flight,” FireMadison.com president David Wheeler told the News & Observer.

The TSA seized twice as many guns from travelers in 2020 as it did the year before, even though few people were flying at the height of the coronavirus pandemic
, Forbes reported in April. A TSA spokesperson told the outlet that a majority of those caught with guns in their carry-ons claim they forgot the weapon was there.

‘You Know Damn Well Who I Am’: Madison Cawthorn and GOP Colleague Reportedly Got Into Shouting Match on House Floor

An aide to Rep. David McKinley (R-WV) has filed an ethics complaint against freshman Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC). It is unclear what the complaint alleges, but it comes after a verbal spat between Cawthorn and a staffer for McKinley on Thursday that preceded what Politico described as a “shouting match” between Cawthorn and McKinley.

It all began when Cawthorn, 25, went to the office of McKinley, 74, to ask that his name be removed from a bill. McKinley was not in his office at the time, and Cawthorn ended up getting into a verbal altercation with an aide, according to some on McKinley’s staff. During the exchange, Cawthorn allegedly asked if McKinley “was that guy with the mustache that nobody fucking knows.”

On Thursday night, Cawthorn approached McKinley on the House floor and asked, “What is your name?”

One Republican source told Politico that McKinley replied, “You know damn well who I am.”

The elder Republican took issue with Cawthorn’s treatment of his aide and repeatedly called the freshman congressman “junior.” According to Cawthorn, McKinley refused to remove his name from the legislation. In response Cawthorn asked McKinley how he’d feel if he affixed McKinley’s name to pro-marijuana or pro-abortion legislation.

Cawthorn told Politico he brought up McKinley’s vote for the failed bill that, had it passed the Senate, would have created an independent commission to investigate the January 6 attack on the Capitol.

“I said, ‘Your district will remember that. And if you want to run for re-election and you’re going to sit here and attack me all over this stuff, I will make sure they remember'”

He said McKinley “started getting all kinds of angry.”

On Friday, Cawthorn sent letters to McKinley and the staffer he got into the verbal altercation with. One of the letters said Cawthorn wants to put “our differences behind us” and “focus on our true adversaries.”

Politico reported that some House Republicans had wondered why Cawthorn didn’t just send an aide to McKinley’s office to have his name taken off the bill.

GOP's Madison Cawthorn scorched in local paper for his 'dereliction of duty' amid flooding disaster

    Madison Cawthorn (Screen Grab)

On Monday, the Haywood County Mountaineer published an op-ed slamming Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC) for ignoring the needs of his constituents amid catastrophic flooding that has wrecked homes and businesses across Appalachian North Carolina.

"In a 24-hour span from Tuesday into Wednesday, Western North Carolina experienced flood destruction on a level not witnessed for 17 years," wrote Callie Pruett. "Yet, as the floodwaters rose with fury — destroying homes and businesses in their path — and finally receded in the late morning hours of Wednesday, Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-NC-11) released no statement, no list of resources or shelters for constituents, and not a single tweet in support of the thousands in WNC residents suffering from the flood. On Wednesday morning, more than 30 of his constituents were still tragically unaccounted for, according to the Haywood County Sheriff's Office."

Cawthorn, who has repeatedly used his social media platform to attack COVID-19 vaccination efforts, still found time to tweet while the crisis was going on, noted Pruett — he wrote about Trump's border wall and Instagrammed pictures of himself "smoking cigars and listening to conservative podcasts."

Meanwhile, wrote Pruett, Cawthorn and his staffers seemed genuinely caught off-guard by the flood of constituents begging for help, not even realizing their services would be needed.

"Cawthorn's first public comments on the matter were around 24 hours after the Pigeon River reached initial flood levels, followed by retweets of hours-old resources from other public organizations working on the crisis," wrote Pruett. "His tweets in support of the community and of photo ops with damage came more than 12 hours after floodwaters fell back below the flood line. Too little, too late."

Impeach Joe Biden Calls Grow After Taliban Seize Power In Afghanistan (newsweek.com)

Calls to impeach U.S. President Joe Biden have grown following the withdrawal of most of the U.S. military from Afghanistan and President Ashraf Ghani ceding power to the Taliban.

Republican Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene has said that she's working on articles of impeachment, "because i'm so disgusted with Joe Biden."

Speaking on War Room Pandemic podcast with host Steve Bannon, Greene confirmed, "I have my team right now working on articles of impeachment."

"You know I've already filed one set of articles of impeachment. But his failure as a president is unspeakable," she added.

Florida Senator Rick Scott has also raised the prospect of Biden's removal after the collapse of Afghanistan to the Taliban. Scott, who is chari fo the Senate GOP campaign arm, said on Twitter: "We must confront a serious question: Is Joe Biden capable of discharging the duties of his office or has time come to exercise the provisions of the 25th Amendment?"

WATCH: Brian Williams Brutally Mocks Madison Cawthorn’s Claim of Constitutional Right to Air Travel
    By Tommy ChristopherSep 17th, 2021, 10:55 am
    272 comments

MSNBC host Brian Williams brutally mocked North Carolina Republican Congressman Madison Cawthorn over his claim that the United States Consitution guarantees unrestricted domestic air travel.

On Thursday night’s edition of The 11th Hour With Brian Williams, the show’s sardonic moderator devoted his final segment to dragging Newsmax — “the cable channel for those who think Fox News is too leftist” — and Cawthorn in particular.

Williams introduced a Newsmax clip of “Madison ‘Rootin Tootin’ Cawthorn, the North Carolina congressman last seen beating up on a tree,” in which the arboreal pugilist told host Grant Stinchfield that requiring vaccines for air travel is akin to apartheid:

This is a medical apartheid, plain and simple. There’s over a hundred million Americans who are not vaccinated. I think it’s even more than that. And if they want to start shutting down air travel for these people to get around the country, I think that’s actually a constitutional violation because you actually have a constitutionally protected right to free, unrestricted travel within the United States of America.

“Perhaps you’re wondering, as we did, who’s going to tell them,” Williams remarked following the clip, adding “We checked the Constitution, no mention that we could find of airlines and increased legroom, tray tables, carry-on bags, peanuts, none of it.”

He then read aloud this tweet from Retired General Michael Hayden:

    Gen Michael Hayden
    @GenMhayden

I don’t think so. He’s in Congress??? We have to go to school. 10th grade maybe.

Madison Cawthorn Says Constitution Protects 'Unrestricted' Travel Without Vaccines

    Mary Papenfuss
    Fri, September 17, 2021, 5:53 AM·3 min read
    In this article:

Rep. Madison Cawthorn (R-N.C.) has stepped in it again, insisting Americans have a “constitutional” right to completely “free and unrestricted” travel anywhere in the U.S. without being vaccinated.

As for unrestricted, he apparently forgot that time earlier this year when he was stopped trying to board a plane carrying a gun and ammunition, which is illegal and not protected by the Constitution.

Cawthorn didn’t cite which constitutional clause he thinks grants freedom to people who won’t get vaccinated against the coronavirus pandemic in his Newsmax interview. He failed to mention airline requirements like providing identification, wearing a seat belt and not smoking. The airline industry is regulated by the Federal Aviation Administration, which sets safety regulations.

He also missed a landmark 1905 Supreme Court decision, Jacobson v. Massachusetts, that said vaccines can be mandated by local governments in a case that involved smallpox.

Road travel, of course, requires things like a driver’s license and obedience to rules of the road. And not driving while intoxicated.

Some Twitter wags noted that Cawthorn he must have been talking about those Revolutionary War airports that Donald Trump once referred to, and that’s why “unrestricted” air travel was written into the Constitution ― somewhere.

It wasn’t a stellar day for Cawthorn. He was also featured Thursday in a new political video by the Really American PAC highlighting his violent threat last month that there will be “bloodshed” as he lied yet again that the presidential election was “rigged.”

WATCH: Madison Cawthorn challenger accuses him of being 'radicalized’ in devastating ad that’s going viral

One of U.S. Rep. Madison Cawthorn's Democratic challengers has just released an ad accusing the North Carolina Republican of appearing to have been "radicalized by extremists," and it's going viral, with more than 300,000 views in about ten hours.

"Like too many young people before him from around the world to right next door, Madison Cawthorn exhibits the signs of a young man who has been radicalized by extremists and is now dangerously radicalizing others," Jasmine Beach-Ferrara, one of four Democrats and seven Republicans running to unseat Congressman Cawthorn, says in her new ad accusing him of "stoking insurrection."

Jasmine Beach-Ferrara is a North Carolina county commissioner, ordained minister, and founder and executive director of the Campaign for Southern Equality. She announced her run for Congress in March.

Her campaign website says: "Jasmine attended public schools through high school and received her undergraduate degree from Brown University. She holds a Master of Fine Arts and completed her Master of Divinity degree at Harvard Divinity School. She served on the Biden Foundation's Advisory Council for Advancing LGBTQ Equality."

The ad is emblazoned with images of young Nazis in Hitler's Germany, along with neo-Nazis and white supremacists from the Unite the Right "rally" in Charlotte, NC, along with white supremacist, neo-Nazi, and mass murderer Dylann Roof who slaughtered nine Black bible study group members, and alleged teenaged killer Kyle Rittenhouse who goes on trial in November.

The video says eight months after the January 6 insurrection, Cawthorn "calls these violent insurrectionists 'hostages' and can't let go of the Big Lie."

The ad also features images of Beach-Ferrara with her wife and children, as she says, "as a mom, an ordained minister and a county commissioner, I'm running to defeat Madison Cawthorn, not by confronting hate with more hate, but with love of neighbor, love of community, and love of country. Because violent extremism has no place in western North Carolina. This isn't who we are. We need to be crystal clear about the difference between right and wrong."

Beach-Ferrara calls Cawthorn "a danger to our democracy," and says, "I'm asking for your help, not just to defeat him, but to come together to create the America our kids deserve."
