Jen Psaki unleashes on Trump for ‘subverting our Constitution’ and ‘defending a mob’

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Tuesday unleashed a lengthy list of charges against Donald Trump, the former U.S. president who orchestrated the January 6 insurrection in a desperate attempt to stay in power despite losing in a free and fair election.

Asked by a reporter why President Joe Biden refrains from “condemning ex-President Trump personally,” and if Biden thinks Trump “is acting normally, or does he think he’s a threat to democracy?”

    Psaki did not hold back.

“You know,” Psaki responded, apparently grateful for the question. “I have to say, I don’t think we’ve held back on this front. I mean, President Trump’s role in subverting our constitution, attempting to block the peaceful transfer of power, and defending a mob that attacked our capital and law enforcement has been well documented.”

She also added that on Thursday President Biden will give a speech on the January 6 insurrection.

“It’s something obviously the President spoke about in terms of that being one of the worst days in our democracy, and he’ll speak to, as I noted a little bit earlier, he’ll speak to the historical significance of January 6, what it means for the country one year later, the importance of the peaceful transfer of power – which obviously the prior administration and the prior President weren’t a part of,” Psaki declared. “And, but I think there’s a larger message here to the country about who we are and who we need to be moving forward.”

Asked if President Biden considers “ex President Trump to be a threat to democracy?” Psaki would only say, “I think he’s spoken to this in the past.”

Trump's handlers and sycophants fed Trump so many excuses for canceling his J6 "press conference" he didn't even have to pick just one. But the truth is they did not dare let him get in front of the cameras because The Big Lie is actually the big attempted coup and the J6 committee is closing in on him because some of the most serous crimes in American history have been committed.

Jen Psaki: Biden's Jan. 6 speech will nail Trump over his 'singular responsibility' for 'chaos and carnage'

President Joe Biden will make clear that former President Donald Trump has a "singular responsibility" for the attack on the U.S. Capitol, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki revealed on Wednesday.

At a White House briefing, Psaki previewed a speech Biden will give on Thursday to mark the anniversary of the Jan. 6 attack.

"The president is going to speak to the truth of what happened, not the lies that some have spread since," Psaki explained. "I'd also note that President Biden has been clear-eyed about the threat the former president represents to our democracy and how the former president works to undermine basic American values and rule of law."

Psaki noted that Biden "has spoken repeatedly about how the former president abused his office, undermined the Constitution and ignored his oath to the American people in an effort to amass more power for himself and his allies."

Biden "sees Jan. 6 as the tragic culmination of what those four years under President Trump did to our country," she observed.

"I expect that President Biden will lay out the significance of what happened at the Capitol and the singular responsibility President Trump has for the chaos and carnage that we saw and he will forcibly push back on the lies spread by the former president in an attempt to mislead the American people and his own supporters as well as distract from his role in what happened."

Psaki declined to say whether Biden would mention Trump by name.

Its not just Jen Psaki. President Biden's entire press shop is also the best I've ever seen. And I mean the unseen. The people behind the scenes that do the nuts and bolts work of assembling information, putting it in a professional and understandable format, and crank it out just as fast as possible.

This was instantaneous. And gobbed smacked most the press and pundit class.

Jen Psaki explains why Biden didn’t need to call out Trump by name during Jan. 6 speech

White House press secretary Jen Psaki on Thursday explained why President Joe Biden did not mention Donald Trump by name during his Jan. 6 address at the U.S. Capitol.

"A former president of the United States of America has created and spread a web of lies about the 2020 election. He's done so because he values power over principle, because he sees his own interest as more important than his country's interest and America's interest," was one of the multiple times in his address that Biden referred to Trump.

Psaki explained why Trump's name was not spoken.

"There is only one president in the history of this country who fomented an insurrection, which prompted the seizing of our nation’s Capitol. I think everybody knew who he was referring to," she said.

Dying Corporate Media Fail to Gaslight Public with January 6 Hysteria

The corporate media’s failure to gain any traction with this absurd January 6 hysteria is a heartening thing to witness.

Think about what’s happening right now… For an entire year, the organized left and the establishment media have been pooling all their corrupt resources to turn a mostly peaceful anti-vote-fraud protest into a threat to democracy, into the equivalent of 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

For a whole year, the corporate media have been plotting and scheming with the backing of a kangaroo congressional inquiry along with billions and billions of corporate dollars… And still, this narrative has failed entirely.

    No one cares.

Poll after poll after poll after poll backs up the fact that no one freakin’ cares.

The American people know what happened on January 6. They know a protest against vote fraud got out of hand when a bunch of idiots turned violent. They know that’s the extent of it and that the people responsible are being punished—end of story.

But the American people also know that all of this ginned-up hysteria and outrage about January 6 being a 9/11 or Pearl Harbor or an act of insurrection and terrorism is pure propaganda coming from a media desperate to gaslight the public into something laughable.

Jen Psaki Says She’s Glad Trump Watched Biden’s Speech: ‘Maybe He Learned Something About Meeting the Moment’
    By Tommy ChristopherJan 6th, 2022, 2:49 pm
    95 comments
In response to former President Donald Trump’s statement, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki told reporters that she hoped Trump “learned something” from watching President Joe Biden’s speech.

Ms. Psaki held a briefing with reporters on Thursday just hours after Biden delivered a speech at the Capitol Thursday morning to mark the anniversary of the Capitol insurrection, in which he leveled blistering criticism of Trump.

One of the first questions during the briefing was about the lengthy statement Trump issued slamming the president’s speech. Among other things, Trump wrote that “This political theater is all just a distraction for the fact Biden has completely and totally failed.”

NBC News White House correspondent Kristen Welker noted that Trump “did respond to President Biden’s speech and he called it quote, political theater,” and asked “What is your response?”

With a smile, Psaki replied, “Well, it looks like he saw the speech,” and cracked, “I guess that’s good news.”

She carried the bit through the rest of her response with a sarcastic hope that Trump might “learn something” from the speech:

Maybe he learned something about what it looks like to meet the moment in the country, to meet the moment where people are hurting. They’re thinking of the pain. All of the people who worked in that Capitol, who were there a year ago, whether they were members of Congress, their staff, janitors, or journalists, and to speak to who we can be and call for people’s higher powers to reach that.

Maybe he learned something from that. I guess we’ll see.

Psaki was also asked why President Biden didn’t mention Trump by name, despite the fact that much of the speech was devoted to denouncing Trump. Psaki referred reporters to Biden’s own response on that matter.

After his speech, Biden told reporters that he “did not want to turn it into a contemporary political battle between me and the president, it’s way beyond that. It’s way beyond that.”

If or when Jen Psaki leaves I am betting her replacement will be Karine Jean-Pierre. I have been watching her for a few years now and she is intelligent knowledgeable, and fearless. Back during the presidential primaries a protester rushed the stage and grabbed the microphone during an interview of Kamala Harris. And while everyone else just sat there Jean-Pierre confronted him and gabbed the mic back and she was tiny compared to him. And then Harris' husband forced him off the stage letting it be known he was just about to kick the fuck out of him.

Reporter Asks if Biden Thinks Trump Is ‘Fit For Office’ During Air Force One Briefing

During a briefing on Air Force One, a reporter asked whether President Joe Biden believes that former President Donald Trump is “fit for office.”

Principal White House Deputy Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre gaggled with reporters aboard the presidential plane Friday, and was asked about the president’s views on Trump.

The subject came up in the context of the blistering criticism that Biden leveled at Trump during this week’s Jan. 6 speech, and KJP pointed out that Biden has been sounding those same notes since he began his run for president:

Q Karine, on his speech yesterday, could I follow up?

    MS. JEAN-PIERRE: Sure.

Q Yeah, so the President repeatedly and, of course, you know, very eloquently described what he says is a threat to democracy from the previous president — you know, literally accusing him of subverting democracy to this very day. Does President Biden think that Donald Trump is fit for office? Does he think he should be in a place where he can just run again for president, for example? What’s his feeling on that? He might end up facing him.

MS. JEAN-PIERRE: I mean, I’m not here to predict what the previous president is going to do. That is not what we’re here to do. That is — you know, that’s not — that’s not my place here.

But, you know, Jen talked about this a little bit yesterday. Look, the President has never shied away from directly addressing the threat his predecessor poses to our democracy and the basic values our country was founded on.

So, in fact, he launched his campaign on that very idea: the President posed and — that the former President posed a unique threat to the soul of our country when the Pre- — when President Biden announced his presidency back in 2019. And he made that point throughout his campaign and over the last year in office.

The President will not back down from holding his predecessor accountable when it is appropriate. But the President also knows that — the importance of delivering for his agenda. That’s what he wants to focus on is delivering for the American people, like he has been doing.

Jen Psaki lays waste to Peter Doocy's bogus vaccination talking points

    Brad Reed
    January 10, 2022

    www.youtube.com
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on Monday easily shredded Fox News reporter Peter Doocy's criticisms of President Joe Biden for calling the COVID-19 pandemic a "pandemic of the unvaccinated."

At the start of his question, Doocy noted that both he and Psaki had come down with cases of COVID-19 even though both of them had received both vaccinations and booster shots against the virus.

"You’re triple-vaxed, still got COVID," said Doocy. "Why is the president still referring to this as a pandemic of the unvaccinated?"

Psaki didn't hesitate to take a hatchet to this argument.

"Well I think, Peter, that there's a significant difference," she said. "I had been triple-vaxxed. I had minor symptoms. There is a huge difference between that and being unvaccinated. You are 17 times more likely to go to the hospital if you're unvaccinated, 20 times more likely to die."

In fact, data released by New York hospitals late last month shows Psaki may be understating the situation, as they revealed unvaccinated people in the Empire State are 32 times more likely to require hospitalization after contracting COVID-19.

PolitiFact Brands Jen Psaki a Liar

In a surprising turn, PolitiFact hit White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki with a “false” rating for her claim that “no economist out there is projecting that [Biden’s $1.75 trillion Build Back Better bill] will have a negative impact on inflation.”

Read that again. According to Politifact — the left-leaning “fact-checking” website which usually bends truth to the breaking point to promote liberal claims — Jen Psaki is officially a liar. This is particularly interesting given that PolitiFact has been seen time and again to ignore truth while (1) making false claims about conservatives, and (2) decrying as “false” negative claims about liberals that turned out to be obviously true.

For instance, in 2008, PolitiFact rated Barack Obama’s clearly fraudulent claim that “if you’ve got a health care plan that you like, you can keep it” as true. To be fair to them, though, they changed that in 2013, calling it the “Lie of the Year.” Of course, they neglected to mention in their 2013 assessment that they had rated the “Lie of the Year” as true in 2008.

Besides that one glaring example, PolitiFact has such a record of lying to make conservatives look bad and liberals look good that it has spawned an entire genre of websites, YouTube channels, and articles. Examples are legion. In the era before Donald Trump, PolitiFact was at least clever in its lies, rating as “mostly true” or “mostly false” statements that were clearly one way or the other. Hint: If a Democrat said it, it was rated “true” or “mostly true” while statements from Republicans were rated “false” or “mostly false.”

Since its inception, PolitFact has been about as reliable as Snopes.

Donald Trump changed that. PolitiFact left clever and plausible deniability behind, granting ratings that were clearly, obviously, and verifiably bogus. In a great article on the subject, Dan Bongino wrote in 2019:

In the past I’ve argued that Politifact is at least clever with their bias, often choosing to simply fact check more Republican or conservative statements than liberal ones to give the impression that those on the right are making falsehoods more often. Of course, there have been times when they’ve slipped up, fact-checking nearly identical claims from Republicans and Democrats and rating the former false, and latter true.

Bongino then goes on to address a PolitiFact rating that found that Democrat presidential candidates want to give illegal immigrants free healthcare as “false” despite the simple reality that anyone could easily do a quick YouTube search and hear those Democrats actually saying exactly that.

In the advent of the Biden administration, PolitiFact has continued to run around behind Biden and company with a roll of toilet paper, doing their level best to clean up behind lying Democrats. As of this writing, PolitiFact has “fact-checked” statements about Jen Psaki 110 times while this is the first time the site has “fact-checked” Jen Psaki herself.

In a press briefing on November 15, Psaki sought to defend her boss’s dangerous plan to dump $1.75 trillion in made-up money into the economy to “Build Back Better.” Given that her job description is to lie and spin for the Biden administration, she looked the press pool in the eyes and lied boldly. She was asked, “Why should Americans not be concerned that injecting another $1.75 trillion or more would further raise inflation?” She answered:

Because no economist out there is projecting that this will have a negative impact on inflation. And actually, what it will help do is it will help increase economic productivity. It will help economic growth in this country. That, and the Build Back Better Agenda will help reduce inflation, will help cut costs for the American people over the long term.

By what may have been a miracle of God, her pants somehow did not burst into flames of judgment.

But while her pants may have ignored the lie, human beings — even those as far to the left as the folks over at PolitiFact — did not. Her lie was so egregious, so blatant, so obvious, that it was almost laughable. For as PolitiFact stated in its article assigning a “false” rating to her claim:

Is it really true that there’s not a single economist who thinks the bill will boost inflation? No.

Many economists have stated for the record that they think the inflationary impact of the bill will be small and brief. But we found lots of economists who say they expect modest inflationary pressure, at least initially.

PolitFact went on to cite several of those economists Psaki claims don’t exist. One was Douglas Holtz-Eakin, president of the center-right American Action Forum. His statement on the inflationary likelihood of Biden’s plan was short and to the point. “I’m an economist, and I disagree.” He added, “If you cut taxes and increase spending, financed by debt, that will put upward pressure on inflation.”

So, after getting away with a litany of lies that would make anyone with a conscience blush, Psaki has officially been labeled as a liar by PolitiFact. And — since this is her first and (so far) only fact-check by the site — her rating as of this writing is 100 percent false. That is several times worse than the site rates Donald Trump. Of the nearly 1,000 statements by President Trump that PolitiFact has “fact-checked,” 23 percent were rated at least “half true.” Another 20 percent were rated “mostly false.”

Of course, since the folks at PolitiFact get to cherry-pick what they “fact-check,” they can ignore anything they want to. If more Trump statements had been checked (and checked honestly), his rating would certainly be higher on the “true” side. Conversely, since after almost a year at her post, this is the first time Psaki has had the pleasure of a PolitiFact “fact-check” being aimed at her, the 100 percent “false” rating does not carry much weight — except that it should serve to embarrass her.

In her nine-month tenure in that office, Kayleigh McEnany racked up 33 “fact-checks” by the site. But until now, PolitiFcat has ignored Psaki and her many outright lies. So, why the sudden change? Why did the site choose this particular lie to brand Psaki as a liar? Could it be because the Biden administration’s approval rating is falling at near terminal velocity in recent polls? Whatever the reason, Psaki has — at least for now — the lowest truth rating possible.

WATCH: Jen Psaki Smacks Down ‘Hilarious’ Criticism That Biden’s Voting Rights Speech Was Too ‘Offensive’
    By Tommy ChristopherJan 13th, 2022, 7:53 am
    633 comments

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki smacked down criticisms of President Joe Biden’s voting rights speech from a pair of Republican senators.

Ms. Psaki briefed reporters Wednesday, a day after the president delivered a fiery speech in support of the Freedom to Vote Act and the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act. She was asked to respond to critiques from two members of the Senate Republican caucus who are blocking those measures.

First, Psaki was asked about criticism from Sen. Mitt Romney, and responded by not just refuting Romney, but also swatting away broader criticisms that the president was too aggressive in the speech:

Q: Senator Romney today basically said — I’ll use the exact quote — that the speech yesterday that the President gave was, quote, “going down the same tragic road taken by President Trump [in] casting [the] doubt on the reliability of American elections.” Does the White House have a response to that?

MS. PSAKI: With all due respect to Senator Romney, I think anyone would note there’s a night-and-day difference between fomenting an insurrection based on lies totally debunked by 80 judges, including Trump-appointed ones, and election authorities across the country and making objective, true statements, which is what the President made yesterday, about the effects of a coordinated nationwide effort to undermine the constitutional right to vote.

I know there has been a lot of claim of the offensive nature of the speech yesterday — which is hilarious on many levels, given how many people sat silently over the last four years for the former president — but I would note that, in our view and the President’s view, what is far more offensive is the effort to suppress people’s basic right to exercise who they want to support and who they want to elect. That’s not a partisan thing.

And that — that was why he gave such a strong speech yesterday.

Psaki was also asked to respond to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s even more strident commentary on the speech, and she obliged:

Q: Can I quickly get your response to Mitch McConnell today, who had some strong words for the President? He called his speech a “rant,” “incoherent,” “profoundly unpresidential.” But he also accused the President of “shouting that 52 senators and millions of Americans are racist unless he gets whatever he wants.”

MS. PSAKI: Well, I know the President was asked about this and said — a version of this, I should say — and he said he considers Mitch McConnell a friend. And that is true. That is why it is even more disappointing that someone who has supported and advocated for voting rights in the past — wrote about in his book, has talked about it publicly — and repeatedly voted for the extension of voting rights protections is on the other side of this argument now.

You know, and I — I think it clearly struck a nerve — the President’s speech yesterday and the Vice President’s remarks. I think there’s evidence of that. But to us and to the President, what is more irresponsible, unbecoming, and divisive is the coordinated effort by far too many Republicans across the country to perpetuate the Big Lie and make it more difficult to vote.

And we have seen evidence of that in 19 states who passed — which passed 34 laws attacking voting rights. That’s why he’s standing up and made the passionate case he made yesterday.

Fact Check: Jen Psaki Claims Iran’s Proxy Wars, Increased Capabilites Only Started After Trump Left Nuclear Deal

    JOEL B. POLLAK12 Jan 2022

CLAIM: “None” of Iran’s “increased capability and capacity, the aggressive actions they have taken through proxy wars around the world” would be happening if President Donald Trump had not left the Iran nuclear deal in 2018.

VERDICT: FALSE. Iran was expanding its nuclear and ballistic missile capabilities, as well as pursuing proxy wars throughout the Middle East, even under the Iran deal and during President Barack Obama’s administration.

White House press secretary Jen Psaki, asked by a reporter Wednesday about the ongoing negotiations with Iran, made the absurd claim above that “none” of Iran’s increased nuclear capacity or proxy wars took place before Trump pulled out of the Iran deal.

    https://twitter.com/YWNReporter/sta...s-only-started-after-trump-left-nuclear-deal/

It was a ridiculous claim. Before the deal was approved by the United Nations (since Obama bypassed the Senate), then-Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu delivered a speech to Congress warning specifically that the deal did nothing about Iran’s proxy wars and its threats to its neighbors. Obama signed the deal anyway, and Iran expanded its proxy wars in Syria, Lebanon, Yemen, and elsewhere in the Middle East.

Trump did not stop Iran’s proxy wars, but he did make them far more difficult, thanks to sanctions that made it harder for Iran’s proxies to fund their operations, and thanks to the targeted killing in 2020 of Iranian terrorist mastermind Qasem Soleimani in Iraq — which then-candidate Joe Biden openly opposed.

As for Iran’s “increased capability and capacity,” the ink was barely dry on the deal when Iran began an aggressive program of ballistic missile tests. It turned out that these were not, in fact, against the deal; Obama had misled the American public, falsely promising that there would be missile restrictions in the deal; the terms of the restrictions were weak and non-binding.

Moreover, Netanyahu revealed in 2018 that Iran had continued pursuing its forbidden nuclear program even after the deal was implemented. His evidence: a stunning collection of files that Israel managed to steal from Iran in a covert operation.

It is true that Iran began violating the terms of the deal more openly and brazenly after Trump withdrew from the deal, but the deal allowed Iran to pursue its nuclear program anyway after about a decade — which is exactly why Trump withdrew.

Psaki’s claim is an effort to deflect blame for a diplomatic approach that is not working — one that is simply buying time for Iran to continue pursuing its nuclear program with great zeal while President Biden’s envoys wring their hands in Austria.

Jen has definitely got her work cut out for her now. She's going to have to spin like a monster truck on a mud track after the week President Biden has had taking ass kickings from all directions. But I am betting on her because she's the best there's ever been.

But President Biden is definitely having a better week than Kevin the Coward. He decided to take the hey nothing to see here January 6th was no big deal misdirection just before the DOJ dropped seditious conspiracy charges on 11 Oath Keepers. So Kevin the Coward is basically standing there saying hey come on guys what's a little treason between friends.

Jen Psaki Says Kevin McCarthy’s Press Conference Meltdown Shows Trump’s Continued Sway Over Republicans

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki cited House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy’s bizarre press conference about the Jan. 6 commission as an example of former President Donald Trump’s continued “sway” over the GOP.

Ms. Psaki briefed reporters Thursday and was asked to assess President Joe Biden’s first year in office.

“Just on the President’s first anniversary in office: What does he regard as his single-most important achievement? And does he acknowledge that any mistakes have been made? And if so, what’s the biggest mistake?” a reporter asked Psaki.

“Well, I would say first that, you know, the President is very proud of the progress we’ve made in getting 200 million Americans vaccinated, very proud of the work we have done to cut the childhood poverty by 40 percent to help Americans who needed a little extra help get by through a challenging economic time, the work we did to get a Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill passed, and to rebuild our place in the world,” Psaki said, and listed several other accomplishments that included confirming a historically diverse slate of judges and actions on climate change.

In terms of a mistake, Psaki said “I will let the President speak to that the next time you all see him.”

“But did he underestimate Donald Trump’s continued grip on the Republican Party and how difficult that would make it to work across the aisle and unite the nation?” Psaki was asked on follow-up.

Psaki replied, “You know, I will tell you that hearing Kevin McCarthy talk today, for an example, and seeing what he said on January 21st last year is a pretty stark reminder of how much sway the former president has over members of his party.”

“I think that’s disappointing for everybody, not just people who work here,” Psaki said.

Psaki was referring to a press conference that featured a contentious grilling about the House Select Committee Investigating the Jan. 6 Attack on the Capitol — with which McCarthy has declined to cooperate — during which McCarthy seemed to lose all touch with verifiable facts and reality.

Among other things, McCarthy claimed not to remember a phone call with Trump that he told lawmakers about shortly after the attack, in which Trump took some responsibility for the riot.

I will just highlight that one because its just so brilliant the way Jen is doing her job. Criticizing the president from the press secretary podium is definitely not part of the job description so they have to deflect that one.

But brilliant because President Biden can speak to it the next time they see him with a fat chance of that. President Biden is and always has been just a gaff machine so they try to limit the number of times he can stick his foot in his mouth.

Again just the best there ever was. Anyone can do a press secretary's job when things are going good. But it takes a Psaki to try to dig out from under the damage when things have gone to hell in a hand basket.

Psaki Snarks at Reporter Who Challenges Her on ‘Stymied’ Biden Agenda: We Could Do a Bill on ‘Bunny Rabbits and Ice Cream’

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki snarked at a reporter who challenged her on President Joe Biden’s stalled agenda.

In an exchange during Thursday’s White House press briefing, Bloomberg’s Justin Sink noted various recent developments and circumstances which have not been favorable to the administration.

“Frankly, things look like they’re going poorly right now for the White House,” Sink said. “Build Back Better is blocked, voting rights is blocked. Inflation is at a 40-year high, the virus is setting records for infections.”

He added, “I’m wondering at what point do you take stock and say things need to change internally, Whether you’re outreach for the Hill, the leadership in the White House. You seem to be stymied on an incredible number of fronts.”

Psaki pushed back, touting administration accomplishments including; record job growth and low unemployment, the current U.S. vaccination rate, and restored foreign relations. She then acknowledged the troubles the administration has faced on the legislative front.

“We also recognize when you have a small margin and threshold in the Senate, it’s very difficult to get things done and to get legislation passed,” Psaki said. “And the fact that the president, under his leadership, got the American Rescue plan passed, a bipartisan infrastructure bill with 19 votes in the Senate, six votes in the House, the fact that we’re still continuing to work with members to determine the path forward on Build Back Better, that we have the vast majority of Democrats in the Senate supporting voting rights. And our effort is to try hard things, do hard things, and keep at it.”

She then told Sink that overall, “we don’t see it through the same prism.”

Sink then asked if the White House is comfortable with the status quo.

“So the sense that things are going well, there’s no need for change right now?” Sink asked.

“Having worked in the White House before, you do hard things in White Houses,” Psaki replied. “You have every challenge at your feet, whether it’s global or domestically.”

Psaki then snarked, “We could certainly propose legislation to see if people support bunny rabbits and ice cream, but that wouldn’t be very rewarding to the American people.”

Oh, lets not just skip over Psaki's latest arrogant retort to a reporters question!
For review, Bloomberg's Justin Sink laid out the poor week biden had last week, mainly the stalled pig bill, voting suppression bill, inflation and Covid continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. Sink then asked the very legitimate question; is there a point at which the administration looks inward for changes?

Psaki, never one to actually answer a hard question quipped back “We could certainly propose legislation to see if people support bunny rabbits and ice cream.........."

Shooter thinks we've found Psaki's hallmark statement

Jen Psaki Bristles at Peter Doocy’s Claim Biden Described Republicans as Racist Segregationists in Voting Rights Speech
    By Tommy ChristopherJan 15th, 2022, 10:32 am
    923 comments

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki objected when Fox News White House correspondent Peter Doocy characterized a section of President Joe Biden’s voting rights speech that referenced racist segregationist historical villains.

At Friday’s press briefing, Doocy asked a pair of questions challenging Biden’s ability to work with legislators, and pointed in particular to a section of Biden’s speech that has been widely interpreted as equating current opponents of voting rights legislation to the likes of Bull Connor, George Wallace, and Jefferson Davis.

Psaki did not agree with Doocy’s description:

MR. DOOCY: Thank you, Jen. President Biden promised to bring decades of D.C. experience to the Oval Office, but Build Back Better has not passed, voting rights apparently not going to pass, and vaccine requirements that he likes are apparently illegal. What happened?

MS. PSAKI: Well, first, Peter, I would say if you look back at last year and what we were able to accomplish — that includes getting the American Rescue Plan passed — a package that has contributed to cutting childhood poverty by 40 percent; has helped ensure we are moving at a faster pace toward economic growth, toward a record-low unemployment rate; helped ensure schools — more than 95 percent — are open across the country.

He also pressed, despite skeptics, to get a Bipartisan Infrastructure Bill passed — one that we have just — we’re just announcing today. The fact that 15,000 bridges are going to be repaired — that was despite many skeptics. And because of his efforts, 200 million Americans are now vaccinated.

The work of an administration continues after one year, and it will — he will continue to press forward on all of those priorities.

MR. DOOCY: But as he talked about a year ago and working with Republicans, now he is talking about Republicans that don’t agree with voting rights. He’s describing them as Bull Connor, George Wallace, and Jefferson Davis. What happened to the guy who — when he was elected said, “To make progress, we must stop treating our opponents as our enemy”?

MS. PSAKI: I think everybody listening to that speech who is “speaking on the level,” as my mother would say, would note that he was not comparing them as humans, he was comparing the choice to those figures in history and where they’re going to position themselves if they — as they determine whether they’re going to support the fundamental right to vote or not.

In the passage in question, President Biden asked how officials want to be remembered. He said that “At consequential moments in history, they present a choice,” and asked “Do you want to be the si- — on the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?”
