White House press secretary Jen Psaki shifted blame Wednesday for the "aggressive actions" being taken by Iran, claiming the country is "rapidly accelerating" due to former President Trump's decision to pull the U.S. out of the Iran nuclear deal.

Asked Wednesday by a reporter at a briefing how the Biden administration is working through discussions with Iran to reestablish the Iranian nuclear agreement, also known as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA), Psaki said the talks are "ongoing."

"What we're looking at, and what we'd like to remind the public of, is why we are at this point now," Psaki said. "Most importantly, none of the things we're looking at now – Iran's increased capability and capacity, their aggressive actions that they have taken through proxy wars around the world – would be happening if the former president had not recklessly pulled out of the nuclear deal with no thought as to what might come next."

In 2018, Trump announced he would be withdrawing the United States from the Iran nuclear deal, saying at the time that the agreement was "defective at its core."

Iran's leaders refused to do so and argued that the deal allowed one party to "cease performing its commitments... in whole or in part" in the event of "significant non-performance" by others. But France, Germany and the UK did not accept Iran's assertion.

Fox News viewers reacted with anger to the network's interview with White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki.

The White House press secretary made an unusual appearance on Fox News Thursday for a 14-minute interview. Psaki took questions on voting rights, Russia and crime. The questions were respectful and tough.

But the network's viewers reacted by lashing out at Fox News hosts Bill Hemmer and Dana Perino.

"Dana Perino was basically kissing Jen Psaki's butt during her first FOX interview," one viewer wrote on Twitter. "I can't even muster up anything else worth mentioning, except Paski's answers were just as stupid as the ones she gives in her live press conferences."

"Both @BillHemmer and @DanaPerino are a disaster at asking questions," another viewer said. "The questions are more like statements which gave Psaki help on how to answer them. Perino is better at answering questions than asking them. Hammer [sic] is just plain lost."

Psaki Slips up on Who Is in Charge at the WH

Joe Biden has a habit of saying things Like: “they” told me not to answer any more questions or “they” had me do such and so. That, and his general cognitive issues have often prompted people to wonder who is the real power behind Biden.


White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was on “The View” on Friday, and she made a big slip-up when it comes to who was in charge at the White House.

As we reported earlier, Psaki got in trouble with one of her comments on “The View” — that Americans should get over their sorrow about the failure of the Democrats’ ‘voting rights’ legislation by taking a “kickboxing class” or maybe getting a “margarita.”

But she also made a rather large slip on who’s in charge at the White House, when she was asked about her plans to leave her job in the future.

Psaki said she didn’t know exactly when she would be leaving. “It’s an honor and a privilege. And I love working for President Oba…President Biden every single day. I love spending time with him, hearing what’s on his mind. Actually going on the road with him is the best thing possible, I wish everybody could have that experience because he gets such joy out of it. No one likes a rope line more than President Biden.”

Who was that again? Sure sounds like she starts to say “President Obama.” Is that the answer to the larger question? That might explain why it’s such a disaster and more to left than Joe ever was before he got in the White House. The far-leftists are the ones pushing the agenda in the Biden Administration. I might also note that Biden may like a rope line because he’s narcissistic, but there aren’t that many people coming out to see him.


“The View”s Ana Navarro also spoke about Biden questioning the legitimacy of the 2022 election during his press conference on Wednesday. She claimed that Psaki had clarified that isn’t what Biden was talking about (which was a lie by Psaki), but then Navarro immediately stoked illegitimacy claims herself.

Navarro claimed there were “many many state measures that would curtail the ability to vote” [there are no such measures]. She also claimed that there were “160 ‘Big Lie’ loyalists running for statewide positions that would give them authority over our elections.” In other words, how dare there be people other than Democrats in power!

“Without reforms, why should voters have faith in the legitimacy of the next election,” Navarro asked Psaki. So wait, 2020 was completely fair, but without the reforms, now 2022 won’t be? How is that logical, and isn’t Navarro ‘attacking democracy’ right here? Isn’t Biden then a ‘Big Lie’ proponent?


Psaki once again tries to make it about Trump. But it was Biden who made the remarks specifically about Democratic legislation.

Biden said, “I’m not going to say it’s going to be legit. It increases — the prospect of being illegitimate is in direct proportion to us not being able to get these — these reforms passed.” Psaki can’t weasel her way out of it, and once again, Navarro is doubling down on where the Democrats intend to go next when they lose in 2022.

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki disputed Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy after he claimed that President Joe Biden's administration believes that school boards should have "more of a say" than parents when it comes to children.

At Monday's White House briefing, Doocy noted that seven Virginia school districts have sued Gov. Glenn Youngkin (R) over his ban on mask mandates.

"So who does the president think knows best for students? School board members or parents?" Doocy asked.

"The president believes that public health officials have the best guidance on what we can all do to protect ourselves," Psaki replied. "Studies show that masks reduce transmissions in school. They are a proven tool that helps keep teachers safe from Covid and they can thus help keep schools open and safe."

Doocy continued to fixate on the issue of parental rights.

"So if a parent wants to send their kid to school with no mask, should that child be allowed to go to school and be in class?" Doocy wondered.

"Again, what we're advising school districts on is to abide by public health guidelines and follow public health guidelines," Psaki explained. "It's about keeping an entire community safe and those are the decisions that people should focus on making."

Unhappy with Psaki's response, Doocy attempted to answer his own question.

"Just so it's crystal clear for anybody watching, you guys think that ultimately in this conflict between school board members and parents, the school board members should have more of a say," the Fox News correspondent stated.

"That's actually not what I said," Psaki observed. "I think everybody should abide by public health guidelines, not just to keep their own kids safe, but keep their school community safe, whether it's teachers, classmates, administrators or others in schools."

Jen Psaki reminds Peter Doocy of Trump's Twitter tantrums after he whines about 'hashtag' diplomacy

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki responded to a question from Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy on Tuesday by reminding him that former President Donald Trump had a history of conducting diplomacy through tantrums on Twitter.

At a White House press briefing, Doocy asked why Secretary of State Antony Blinken had expressed support for Ukraine on Twitter with the hashtag "#IStandWithUkraine."

"Has that ever worked in stopping an authoritarian regime from doing anything, a hashtag?" Doocy wondered.

"I will have to say that, unlike the last administration, we don't think Twitter is the only means of engaging or negotiating or discussing important topics," Psaki replied. "But it is important for us to convey to the Ukrainian people who do view commentary through a range of forums."

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki drew laughter from the White House press corps on Wednesday after she mocked a question from Fox News correspondent Peter Doocy.

During a White House press briefing, Doocy wondered if President Joe Biden would nominate Vice President Kamala Harris to replace Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer.

But Psaki declined to comment on Biden's future Supreme Court nomination. She pointed out that Breyer has not yet formally announced that he is retiring.

"I'm not going to speak to the reports of a Supreme Court justice retiring that hasn't been announced," Psaki explained.

"So theoretically..." Doocy began before being interrupted.

"Theoretically!" Psaki smiled. "I do like that you preface it."

"Well, just wondering hypothetically, theoretically, would someone who was an attorney general of a large state and who served with many key Senate votes be an attractive candidate?" Doocy asked, clearly referring to Harris.

"I see what you did there, Peter," Psaki deadpanned as reporters could be heard laughing. "But the president has every intention -- as he said before -- of running for re-election and for running for re-election with Vice President Harris on the ticket as his partner."

A reporter was silent after pushing right-wing talking points during the White House’s daily press briefing and being asked to explain her question. The Q&A was so disturbing one well-known political scientist weighed in on social media to declare the White House press corps an “embarrassment.”

“Just a quick question on inflation,” the unnamed reporter began as she asked her question on the administration’s plan to strengthen the social safety net and grow jobs. “Many believe that government spending is a big factor in the current inflation levels. Can you speak to concerns that spending plans that come out of Build Back Better aren’t paid for, and so could mean higher deficits and more inflation in the future.”



Psaki, a little stunned, confirmed she heard correctly: “Aren’t paid for? Build Back Better is paid for.”

The reporter was silent. As time moved on, so did Psaki.

“Entirely,” she added, definitively.

“Okay,” replied the reporter, apparently out of facts and with little understanding of what she was asking. “Can you speak to the concerns that are coming in that it’s not, actually?”

“Who are the concerns from though?” Psaki asked.

Silence again.

“Who’s saying it’s not paid for?” Psaki pressed.

More silence.

* “Because there have been a range of economists saying it’s entirely paid for, and that has been a priority for the President. It has also been concluded by a number of Nobel laureates and experts from a range of economic experts on the outside that it will not contribute to inflation. So those are the global experts that we would point to, but there may be others suggesting something else, but I don’t know who those people are,” she said, allowing the reporter to offer a different response, to possibly retain her dignity.

** “So if those bills do pass it will not raise taxes?” the reporter asked, which is an entirely different question.

“Well, something being entirely paid for means that part of that is the highest income Americans highest that companies would be asked to pay a little bit more. That has been part of the proposal and part of reforming the tax system to make it more fair,” Psaki explained.

“So they’re also not expected to contribute to future inflation, then?”

“The Build Back Better Bill? Again, it’s fully paid for, we would point to Nobel laureates and a range of global economists who have conveyed that it would not contribute to inflationary pressures.”

Psaki fires back at Cornyn's claim that Biden doesn't tweet enough: Biden doesn't spend his time 'tweeting conspiracy theories'
On Thursday, according to Forbes, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki hit back at Republicans who have pre-emptively attacked President Joe Biden's Supreme Court nomination without him even having made his selection, saying that they have "obliterated their own credibility" on the issue.

"Biden will 'work in good faith with senators of both parties' to choose a Supreme Court nominee, Psaki said Thursday, and slammed Republicans characterizing Biden’s nominee as 'radical, before they know literally anything about who she is,'" reported Alison Durkee. "She also hit back at Republicans who have criticized Biden’s commitment to nominating the first Black woman to the court, saying suggestions that Black female candidates are somehow less qualified are 'ludicrous.'"

Already some Republicans are attacking the process, with National Republican Senatorial Committee chair Rick Scott (R-FL) claiming Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) will make Democrats "walk the plank" to confirm a "radical liberal with extremist views."

Biden's commitment to nominating a Black woman to the Supreme Court dates back to the campaign, and is part of a broader push by the president to increase the diversity of the federal bench, both racial and professional — a counterbalance to the years Republicans and the Federalist Society have spent creating a system to shuttle right-wing legal activists onto the bench.

Two prominently discussed candidates include D.C. appellate Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, whom Biden appointed to that role last year, and California Supreme Court Justice Leondra Kruger.
