You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Trump admin. proposes new rule to protect the fossil fuel industry from discriminatory banks
    OAN Newsroom
    UPDATED 11:14 AM PT – Monday, November 30, 2020

The Trump administration is looking to implement a new rule through the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency to keep banks from discriminating against fossil fuel companies by way of denying them finances.

This comes after an October decision where five of the six largest banks in the U.S. pledged to end financing for oil companies who look to drill in the Arctic. These banks include Citigroup, JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo.

The most push-back over the banks’ decision came from Republicans in states with large energy industries, while the loudest praise came from environmentalist groups and authors like 350.org co-founder Bill McKibben.

Banks are not the only ones taking an activist position on the issue. Investment groups like BlackRock are also picking and choosing whom to give loans on what many Republicans believe is a discriminatory basis. However, BlackRock CEO Larry Fink claims his company is only spending money where their investors want it to go, which he said is environmental action.

“We are responding to our client’s wishes, where they want their money to be placed,” he stated.

This proposal by the Trump administration ultimately takes the ability to be activists away from banks who, by denying funds to fossil fuel companies, are ultimately using their wealth and influence to direct U.S. energy policy even though the public never elected them to make those decisions.

What many Republicans believe this new rule will do is keep private banks from discriminating against completely law abiding companies and, perhaps, take away the ability for banks to become activists who only invest in industries or companies they agree with.

Ultimately, this even relieves pressure on the private citizen whose only issue to consider when doing business with a bank is if it’s a good financial decision for themselves and not what political issues that bank chooses to support.

The mush brained socialists think getting banks to become activists is smart.

Should we find ourselves in another oil embargo they'll be bitching and moaning about shivering in the dark.

The bill finalized Wednesday contains language requiring several bases named after Confederate leaders be renamed, something Trump previously threatened to veto, according to an aide to Massachusetts Democrat Sen. Elizabeth Warren, who crafted the Senate version of the renaming provision.

McConnell is very, very consistent, he doesn’t believe in putting bills on the floor that the president is not going to sign.

President Trump: GOP senators getting cold feet over ending Section 230

President Trump called out GOP senators who seem to be backing off the fight against Section 230.

The President took to Twitter on Thursday to slam the senators and to emphasize that the termination must be put in the Defense Bill.

On Tuesday, President Trump called for the end of Section 230. Section 230 gives companies like Facebook and Twitter the protection of neutral forums rather than publishers.

The President has long spoken out against Section 230. Back in May, he signed an executive order to protect the free speech of all Americans.

“My executive order calls for new regulations, under Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act, to make it so that social media companies that engage in censoring any political conduct will not be able to keep their liability shield,” President Trump stated. “They have a shield; they can do what they want. They’re not going to have that shield.”

Some senators have called for more discussion over Section 230. They said the Defense Bill isn’t the place to pressure for change.

Meanwhile, White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany assured the military would get proper funding, but the President is serious about the concerns surrounding the law.

“The President will always defend our military and make sure that we get adequate defense funding as he’s gotten $2.9 trillion so far,” McEnany said. “But he is going to put the pressure on Congress to step up on this.”

On Thursday, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy noted the NDAA will get done, but also pointed to the need to do away with Section 230.

“We know that we will get an NDAA done as we’ve done for the last 60 years, but we also know that Section 230…needs to be repealed,” McCarthy stated. “These technology companies are not acting in the manner of why 230 was created to give them protections that they want to pick and choose what goes on.”

McCarthy emphasized that Big Tech doesn’t need the protection any longer.

The renewed push to change Section 230 came earlier this year when platforms refused to host a ‘New York Post‘ article, which detailed a hard drive belonging to Hunter Biden. The hard drive linked his business dealings to his father, Joe Biden.

In October, the FCC announced it had the legal authority to interpret Section 230 and would move forward with rule-making to clarify its meaning, which was part of the President’s May executive order.

Wicker, Graham, Blackburn Introduce Bill to Modify Section 230 and Empower Consumers Online

U.S. Sens. Roger Wicker, R-Miss., chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., chairman of the Senate Committee on the Judiciary, and Marsha Blackburn, R-Tenn., today introduced the Online Freedom and Viewpoint Diversity Act to modify Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act. The legislation would clarify the original intent of the law and increase accountability for content moderation practices.

“For too long, social media platforms have hidden behind Section 230 protections to censor content that deviates from their beliefs,” said Wicker. “These practices should not receive special protections in our society where freedom of speech is at the core of our nation’s values. Our legislation would restore power to consumers by promoting full and fair discourse online.”

“I’m very pleased to be working with Senators Wicker and Blackburn to bring about much-needed reform of Section 230,” said Graham. “Social media companies are routinely censoring content that to many, should be considered valid political speech. This reform proposal addresses the concerns of those who feel like their political views are being unfairly suppressed.”

“Big Tech companies have stretched their liability shield past its limits, and the national discourse now suffers because of it. Today’s internet is a different online product from what was available in 1996; the polished megaplatforms we associate with online research and debate exert unprecedented influence over how Americans discover new information, and what information is available for discovery,” said Blackburn. “Moreover, the contentious nature of current conversations provides perverse incentive for these companies to manipulate the online experience in favor of the loudest voices in the room. There exists no meaningful alternative to these powerful platforms, which means there will be no accountability for the devastating effects of this ingrained ideological bias until Congress steps in and brings liability protections into the modern era.”

The Online Freedom and Viewpoint Diversity Act would:

    • Clarify when Section 230’s liability protections apply to instances where online platforms choose to restrict access to certain types of content;
    • Condition the content moderation liability shield on an objective reasonableness standard. In order to be protected from liability, a tech company may only restrict access to content on its platform where it has “an objectively reasonable belief” that the content falls within a certain, specified category;
    • Remove “otherwise objectionable” and replace it with concrete terms, including “promoting terrorism,” content that is determined to be “unlawful,” and content that promotes “self-harm.”
    • Clarify that the definition of “information content provider” includes instances in which a person or entity editorializes or affirmatively and substantively modifies the content created or developed by another person or entity but does not include mere changes to format, layout, or basic appearance of such content.

It is fucking hilarious to watch grown Republicans try to jump through 20 hoops trying to con the mad king dictator into signing a defense bill. And even more fucking funny coming from the hypocrites that used to scream about "government waste" all the time. Which is another thing I will laugh in their non-fucking faces if they even utter those words in the future.

And now I dunno ya think?

Trump Is Worried That Dishing Out 20 Pardons Might Make Him Look a Bit Guilty, Says Report

*Now if I'm a member of the Trump administration especially his inner circle I would be looking around trying to count up the 20 people getting a pardon and if I'm not one of them its time to cut a deal. Trump might pardon 20 people and create 40 rats.

President Trump wins court ruling to redirect military funds to border wall

A federal appeals court ruled in favor of the Trump administration to allow them to move forward with the border wall.

On Friday, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals voted two-to-one that the President could divert more than $3.6 billion from military construction projects to fund the border wall in El Paso County, Texas.

The two judges who ruled in favor of the administration said opponents of the plan could not prove the move would harm them.

President Trump has consistently argued that the construction of the wall is necessary to mitigate the threat posed by illegal immigration

“It is a tremendous national emergency,” the President said. “Last month, more than 76,000 illegal migrants arrived at our border.”

He added that the U.S. is on track for a million illegal aliens to rush our borders.

“People hate the word invasion, but that’s what it is,” President Trump stated. “It’s an invasion of drugs, criminals and people we have no idea who they are, but we capture them because border security is so good.”
