the ratings for sports are probably tanking because it's starting to turn into like watching the news instead of watching sports. I like watching the sports to get my mind off of the news and the BS going on in the world

 

I hear that a certain VP candidate is watching so that she can give the guys pointers on taking a knee.

 

People are pissed, that sports are mixing with politics. Is the way I'm seeing it

 

The dissrespect aimed at our flag and our country is intolerable to Shooter.

Shooter saw where Monday night football viewership was down 28%.

That will get the attention of the front office.

But too late. If these self important entertainers want to quit with the dissrespect, the meaningless gestures of "unity" and put their money where their assholes are Shooter will recosider.

 

Many of these "self-important entertainers" do more for their community in a day than most of us have done in our entire life. Please, tell me about your foundation? Or non profit?

 

As I do agree with that, and it's very commendable...yet these ''self important in their own mind entertainers'' are just that...they maybe 'heroes' in their own communities...but they are nothing more than political pawns for elected politicians when they bring politics into the realms of 'entertainment'.

 

These footballers can go down on two knees and I'd be fine with it!

When entertainers elect to politicize their act they do so at their own risk.

Some have indeed done more for their communities than others; JJ Watt for example. Others have done nothing. What they have done, good or bad, is not the issue. The issue is that these public figures have publicly disrespected the flag, and by extension, this country. Shooter, and apparently a lot of other fans, find this completely unacceptable, hypocritical, and we will not simply ignore it. This is what Shooter is boycotting.

If they had demonstrated by their show of unity at each score, or at half time, or at the end of the game Shooter would not boycott.
He would still think that for these Millionaires, these figures with a ready made platform, these "heroes" to do nothing more than kneel and/or link arms in "unity" is a meaningless gesture, but he would not boycott.

Shooter supports actions that address injustice, and racism and brutality. These self important entertainers are misguided, disrespectful of the flag and America, and will not be supported by Shooter.

I watch it because I enjoy it. You wanna attach some sort of political bullshit motive to that, go ahead. As far as the players expressing their views on the field, as long as the owners allow it, they'll do it. You wanna boycott the games, go right ahead, maybe the owners will get the hint and clamp down. But it's idiotic to go calling anyone else unpatriotic because they don't support your point of view.

Fans because they finally have a QB in Tom Brady !! I really enjoyed watching them win yesterday !!

Plus we have the Lightning in the Stanley Cup finals. I will admit I'm not so into that I watch it in real time. But I record the games. Then watch it mostly in fast forward keeping my eye mostly on the scoreboard. If somebody scores then I stop it. Back it up & watch how that came about. But I will admit that I'm started seeing the skill & how physical the game is !!

 

Watched a little of the Bears game on Sunday.
