    As much as I want to run a green household, fuck those LED lights in my lamps. They suck. I’m going back to incandescent.

      I do like the fact they don’t feel hot to touch. I also feel like they last longer than regular bulbs. They do put off a different kind of light though. I like having some kind of mood setting lights in certain areas of my home. Obviously the bedroom being one of those. Lol

    Wow, I loaded up in incandescents when they were cheap. But I've converted the whole house to LED's.

    So they don't work well in reading lamps? Or what don't you like about them?

      I have those can lights in the ceiling and some were 150W. The switches got hot, the cans would sometimes blink due to too much current and they'd shut down to cool off. I replaced them with LED's at 11W each and I no longer worry about fires and heated switches in the walls.
      But I don't remember the spectrum. Seems in my man-cave I had fluorescent in cool white, which was lowest in the light spectrum. It was so blue and not very bright. The LED's really brightened the place up. I'm sorry but I really don't remember, but I'm guessing I went with the high end of the spectrum. We really love the LED's and don't mind leaving lights on. They're super cheap to burn and last forever.

      I have a whole wad of 100W incandescent bulbs in the pantry I'll never use...but I was prepared for the future. LOL

      I just use regular light bulbs. What’s so good about LED’s? I hate them. I refuse to buy Christmas lights that are LED. I want a soft glow, not sharp little migraine causing points of light :cautious:

      11Watts per bulb vs 150Watts and I had to buy wall switches that could handle 750Watts. They were expensive compared to regular service wall switches.

    We have a lot of flooding here. My sister got swept off the road on her way home and now her car is in a ditch almost completely submerged in water. I am just extremely thankful is is ok.
