You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

Wouldn’t have been my pick, but Biden wasn’t the one I’d have chosen, either. Smart to pull her knowing her empty seat wouldn’t flip, though. It’s not the worst, I guess, and it’s the team Democrats will be voting for. The whole administration.

    Trump’s worst campaign promise

President Trump hasn’t said a lot about his agenda for a second term. But he has laid out one perplexing goal: Ending the payroll tax that funds Social Security and Medicare.

What is Trump thinking? Nobody can ever be sure, but he seems to believe ordinary workers will appreciate his effort to put more money in their pockets, while seniors won’t really worry about the consequences. Trump signed an executive memorandum on Aug. 8 that “defers” payment of the payroll tax for four months starting Sept. 1, for incomes up to $2,000 per week, or $104,000 per year. For somebody earning $50,000 per year, that’s about $1,300 in deferred taxes.

    No net gain for workers" data-reactid="25" style="font-size: 1.4em; margin: 0.5em 0px 1em; -webkit-font-smoothing: antialiased; text-rendering: optimizelegibility; line-height: 1.4em;">No net gain for workers
Since its inception, Social Security has essentially been fenced off from normal budget negotiations in Congress because the payroll tax automatically funds it. Congress doesn’t have to appropriate funding every year, it only needs to adjust the amount of income subject to the payroll tax from time to time. Medicare is partly funded from general revenue, though that too is somewhat automatic, because the general revenue contribution is set to match expenditures each year. And the Treasury Department can borrow the money if necessary.

Trump would be the first president to fiddle with the stability of Social Security funding. If he did eliminate the payroll tax, and fund Social Security like all other federal programs, that would raise the risk of benefit disruptions during a government shutdown, like the one that began at the end of 2018. Members of Congress could also withhold funding as part of a budget skirmish or other political fight. Social Security is popular, but Congress isn’t, in large part because of intense partisanship over matters voters consider national priorities.

Trump’s meddling with Social Security is even more puzzling given that it’s almost impossible to imagine Congress would pass the legislation necessary to permanently eliminate the payroll tax. Social Security is considered the “third rail of politics”—touch it, and you die. Few members of Congress will risk the enmity of seniors by changing a cherished safety-net program. Trump wouldn’t get this legislation even if he won in a landslide and Congress flipped back to full Republican control. And there’s nothing he can do on his own beyond deferring the tax and making the future bill even bigger. Nobody likes taxes, but the payroll tax is one Trump and other politicians should at least respect.

So first, lets put away the idea that Trump is aiming to "defund" social security.
It isn't true. He never said it.

And second, President Obama have us a payroll tax holiday, where we didn't pay into social security. Did everyone forget that?

    How convenient.

    1. Sanity_is_Relative
What ever lies it takes huh. He openly said he would end the payroll taxes if re-elected which would effectively gut the trust fund for social security and medicare.

Kameltoe is a phony ass bitch who can never be trusted and will turn on the people for her political gain. She's the worst pick Biden could have made. She even came out against legalizing weed in California when she was AG so she would look tough for her run for Senate.
    Milf? I think not. :stop:

Talking politics is a terrible waste of my time, I'm an idiot for doing it, before I was 80 I couldn't have done this silly shit.
I live in a pretty upscale neighborhood (except I'm not upscale) that grew around us, in the early 80s from lakeside property and quiet fields, all now built up. We have two acre minimum, and green acres which means they give the home owner maybe 1 a 1/4 acre, and the rest never can be built on resulting in quite a bit of well treed acres, woods.
No question the south west has so much more to offer for outdoor lifestyle. I wouldn't want to visit Dallas or Houston it's probably like NYC not that it matters my traveling days are most likely over.
My father served at Fort Sam Houston around 1920 cavalry , he loved it, oh not the cavalry he hated that.
Good luck with your health and dont forget, vote!

Cheers Bud, and Happy Birthday! I'm still planning travels but doubt they'd bring me through New York. I hear upstate is nice,
and your established neighborhood sounds choice. We're more inclined to vacation in the Caribbean and warmer climates.
Those damn blood thinners make ya cold all the damn time. And yeah, Dallas andHouston suck. I stay away from them best as possible.
Fort Sam is located in San antonio, but Sam Houston retired in Huntsville, about 25 miles north of me, and is buried there. His house is a museum <That I have yet to visit> LOL that's a sin. Have a good birthday!!

Hey Conroe, did you find your boat yet?
Shooters financial lady called yesterday and told him he'll need to start spending soon or the tax man will get his money.
      Shit!
House is where we like it, don't need new cars, can't travel much just now, so what the fuck are we supposed to do?
Buy a boat, Shooter guesses ...........

Same thing my financial adviser said, spend it or lose it. So we're blowing all through the house top to bottom,
and yeah, I know what boat I'm going to get, as my boating needs are very different than yours. We're going with a pontoon boat. I have a perfectly good one, it's just old and way under powered. And even under powered, I never run it above 50% anyway. But I'm going with a Bennington pontoon and a 200 hp
motor. Gotta get to the dealership to talk with them. This house remodeling and juggling doctor's appts has me hopping right now.

So that looks like a modified V hull, good, can't tell the brand or engine size, cuddy cabin. Will you and the missus be overnighting in it? If not, you want to look at bowriders. Looks to be a nice size, galvanized trailer. Most first buyers buy a boat that's too small for their needs, and usually underpowered. What's the make, motor size, inboard/outboard or outboard, and make of the motor?

      .

I need to better understand this spend it or lose it thing we're being told. I was told my 401(K) did way too well,
better than expected, and it was gonna get penalized if I didn't start draining it down. I'm with you though, I don't need a house or new cars, or even a boat for that matter, but I damn sure don't want the govt to take it.
I don't want an airplane, or a ranch, extra wives sound like trouble, and don't need that.

Man, never had these problems before...

You are just a blatant, phony, fraudulent liar @shootersa and you know it. That is what makes them lies. You keep repeating them after you know they are lies.

Snopes gave it a "Mixture" rating because at one point Trump started babbling incoherently and contradicted himself.

But the proof you know what you are saying is just another one of your non-fucking lies is by reading what is true.

Which is why you said that but did not include the link that would prove you are lying and you know it.

And now @shootersa remember when I asked you about QAnon showing up at Trump rallies and you dismissed it as just a few nut cases?

    Yeah, sure.

see, rear admiral motherfucker, when you try to guess at why Shooter does (or doesn't do) something you invariably get it wrong and worse, embarrass yourself.
And as far as QAnon thingy, well, deplorables have that cross to bear in the opinion of despicables, and despicables have the Antifa thingy to bear in the opinion of deplorables.

Meanwhile, despicables, following the cower in place strategy of the Coronavirus, have Biden tucked away in his basement where, hopefully, no press can reach him.

Oh the poor Chosen One. Trump created the greatest economy in all human history (according to him not economists and/or historians) and God was just so fucking amazed he's making Trump do it again just to see if he can.

The Trump campaign has knowingly taken thousands of dollars from a neo-Nazi leader and other racists

The Trump campaign has accepted thousands of dollars from racist extremists, including a neo-Nazi leader who runs an outpost of the Aryan Nations in Louisiana.

According to data collected by Popular Information, a politics newsletter written by journalist Judd Legum, Morris Gulet, the leader of the Louisiana chapter of Aryan Nations, has donated at least $2,000 to the Trump campaign since December 2017.

The campaign was reportedly made aware of the donations in 2018 by The Forward, though it has not returned the money.

So far Gulett, who according to the Southern Poverty Law Center is a senior pastor at the Church of Jesus Christ Christian, a nickname for Aryan Nations, has made 29 contributions to the campaign.

The Trump campaign did not immediately respond to Insider's request for comment.

Popular Information also detailed a number of others who have donated to the Trump campaign, including businessman Peter Zieve, who was sued by Washington state over allegations of discriminating against minority employees, handing out "procreation bonuses" to his nearly all-white staff, and called immigrants from developing countries "repulsive."

Zieve, who settled the lawsuit in 2017, has donated $5,600 to support Trump's campaign, Popular Information reported.

Other donors include Timothy Mellon and KC McAlpin. Mellon, a businessman who said social programs made Black people "unwilling to pitch in to improve their own situations," donated to a Trump Super PAC, while McAlpin, an associate of John Tanton, who has founded a number of anti-immigrant groups, donated $1,600 to the campaign.
