Trump rages at media for not lying about ‘unbelievable’ Arizona election audit

Donald Trump AFP / Nicholas Kamm

Donald Trump groused about media coverage of the Arizona election "audit" that his supporters had hoped would show he won the election there.

The months-long examination ordered by the state's Republican-led Senate and conducted by the Cyber Ninjas firm turned up more votes for President Joe Biden and fewer for Trump, but the twice-impeached former president complained on the right-wing Victory Channel that media reports have not declared him the winner.

"The media is corrupt, pastor, you know it as well as I do," Trump told host Gene Bailey, "and many people know it and probably the ones that know it best are the media itself. They are corrupt, they don't tell the truth and they are, in fact, the enemy of the people, and it's a terrible thing."

"We had a tremendous audit, it was done by the Senate, the Arizona Senate, and they're brave people, and the findings were unbelievable, so the media doesn't want to call it," Trump added. "I think they called it findings, said they had findings, and the findings were just brutal, and yet the media doesn't want to report the findings. It's really a very sad thing for our country."

Biden's Handlers Need to Get Him Back in the Basement
    By Bonchie | Oct 02, 2021 3:30 PM ET

Joe Biden’s handlers need to find a basement for him, and there’s no time to waste. Things went off the rails yesterday after he appeared on Capitol Hill and effectively blew up negotiations between his own party. I’m not even sure how he did it, but Biden managed to undercut both Nancy Pelosi and Joe Manchin — despite those two being on opposite ends of the reconciliation issue. Truly, Biden has a world-class talent for screwing things up.

After his excursion, when he was pressed on his ineptitude, he managed to joke about the various crises that have engulfed the nation over the last two months. You know, because a collapsing nation is funny or something. He couldn’t be more tone-deaf if he tried.

First, why is this man going back to Delaware again so soon? Does he not have actual duties as president to attend to? What exactly do we pay him for? The country is in the midst of its most chaotic period in over a decade, from the Afghanistan disaster to the border crisis to COVID-19, and Biden keeps running away to do what, exactly? It’s highly suspicious at this point that he has to leave the White House so often.

And that’s what makes his answer in that clip so silly. Yeah, it’s insensitive to laugh and joke about serious crises that cost people their lives, but Biden being an awkward, senile old man is nothing new. But what exactly does Hurricane Ida, which happened over a month ago, have to do with his ineptness as the leader of his own party today? Biden is not burning the midnight oil, engrossed in meetings, interviews, and planning sessions. Instead, he’s at his Delaware home half the time, doing who knows what ,while the nation moves forward as a rudderless ship.

If anyone has had the time to rally support for his agenda, it’s Joe Biden himself. The man quite literally has nothing else to do, or at least he’s incapable of doing anything else.

Besides, almost all the crises he’s giggling about are a direct result of his own incompetence. No one made him bungle Afghanistan. No one forced him to spread a fake story about whips instead of enforcing the border. Certainly, he had a choice to not blow out the spending and cause crushing inflation. All of that is a result of Biden imposing his “leadership” on the country.

His brief return to the spotlight over the last few days has only highlighted how much better off we all are, if he’s not seen nor heard from. When he’s not blowing things up domestically, he’s diminishing his country’s standing on the world stage. Our enemies look at Biden and laugh, knowing they can push him far further than they could push Donald Trump. These are the costs of having a president who isn’t really the president, so find the nearest basement and lock him in it. At least that might limit some of his damage.

"How much tax did Amazon pay last year? And how about the other 54?

    anon_de_plume, Yesterday at 8:28 PM"

Hey genius, any evidence on hand that shows any of those companies violated tax law or evaded taxes illegally?
    NO?
So, your issue is with Congress, who writes the tax laws, right? You don't have an issue with a company following the tax law do you?

Here's a fun thought for you to ponder; how is it, you suppose, that Congress never seems to get around to plugging those evil tax loopholes, or making these greedy fat cat corporations pay "their fair share"?
    Siddown. You embarrass yourself.

U.S. Businesses Pay, Remit 93 Percent of All Taxes Collected in America (taxfoundation.org)

There have been a number of recent media reports highlighting that the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act reduced the tax bills for many U.S. corporations. Setting aside the debate over whether a low tax bill is fair, what is missed in such stories is that American businesses are critical to the tax collection system at every level of government—federal, state, and local. Businesses either pay or remit more than 93 percent of all the taxes collected by governments in the U.S. Without businesses as their taxpayers and tax collectors, American governments would not have the resources to provide even the most basic services.

In 2017, Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) economist Anna Milanez measured the amount of taxes that businesses in 24 countries contributed to the overall tax collection system. The U.S. was found to be one of the most “business dependent” tax systems in the industrialized world.[1]

'MAGA defectors' threaten to expose Trump's 'unhinged' behavior in wake of Omarosa decision

    John Wright
    October 04, 2021

An angry Donald Trump screams during one of his speeches (Photo: Screen capture)
A New York arbitrator's decision last week, in a lawsuit involving former White House adviser and Apprentice contestant Omarosa Manigault Newman, could open the floodgates for Donald Trump's staff and associates to publicly discuss his "unlawful, unethical, unhinged" behavior, according to Manigault Newman.

Trump has for years used "scary-sounding, multimillion-dollar" non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) to bar staff and associates from divulging information about his political and corporate empires, the Daily Beast reported Monday.

However, New York arbitrator Andrew Brown ruled that in Newman's case, the NDA was too expansive to enforce.

"But this ruling is notable for far more than its implications for Omarosa," the Daily Beast reported. "Namely, it could provide a precedent for MAGA defectors and other spurned associates who, intimidated by the vengefully litigious former president, have kept quiet about some of their inside knowledge."

Manigault Newman told the Daily Beast she believes the arbitrator's decision will have a "massive impact" due to "the way Trump treats people when he's done with them," pointing to public humiliations such as getting fired by tweet.

"I really do feel that folks who have been mistreated or embarrassed, who certainly have information to share will go, 'Hmm—well they haven't heard this story,'" Manigault Newman said. "There were so many people in the room when he was doing things that were so clearly unlawful, unethical, unhinged—whatever 'un-' you want to use—especially people in the White House. It's not because they're unloyal or don't care about the office or the country; it's because of how he treated people."

Miles Michael, who worked as an art director on The Apprentice, told the Daily Beast he already feels empowered to speak out despite the NDAs he signed.

"Why should people be stopped from talking about such a public figure based on an NDA that is ostensibly protecting a completely irrelevant TV show?" Michael said.

Brown's ruling follows a federal judge's decision earlier this year in the case of former Trump campaign staffer Jessica Denson, who is also alleging sexual discrimination. In Denson's case, the judge similarly ruled that the NDA she signed was too expansive.

"Although both decisions were specific to the campaign's NDA, the ripples could hit other parts of Trumpland, because of one fact of convenience that has now become extraordinarily inconvenient for Trump: The campaign's agreement was essentially a boilerplate copy of the NDAs for both the Trump Organization and the White House during his administration," the site reports. "The Trump administration's NDA program also appeared unique in that incoming interns were threatened with 'criminal prosecution' and a cartoon image of a jailhouse, according to Trump White House documents and slides from a PowerPoint-type presentation reviewed by The Daily Beast."

'Don't let them destroy our Country!' Trump rages at Mitch McConnell for 'folding to Democrats' in debt ceiling talks

Former President Donald Trump lashed out at GOP Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Wednesday as Congress rushes to extend the debt ceiling before the United States begins defaulting on financial obligations.

"Senate Democrats are considering a new offer from Republicans that would temporarily raise the debt ceiling into December, as political and economic pressure mounts on both parties to deescalate the high-stakes standoff," The Washington Post reported. "The sudden proposal from Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) came after his party's lawmakers huddled at the Capitol earlier Wednesday. The top GOP lawmaker said the deal would essentially give Democrats more time to complete a process by which they could raise the borrowing cap without relying on Republican votes."

But that proposal was undermined by Trump in a message emailed to reporters.

"Looks like Mitch McConnell is folding to the Democrats, again. He's got all of the cards with the debt ceiling, it's time to play the hand," Trump wrote.

"Don't let them destroy our Country!" he added.

Trump praises 'good man' Merrick Garland -- who so far has filed no criminal charges against him

Former President Donald Trump praised Attorney General Merrick Garland in a Wednesday interview with The Spectator World magazine.

"I'd love to get your reaction to Attorney General Merrick Garland mobilizing the FBI against parents who oppose [Critical Race Theory] at local school board meetings," Amber Athey said.

"Well, I'm very surprised that he'd do it," Trump replied. "The local boards have gone out of their way to really take over the school system and to do things that a lot of the parents disagree with — I would say almost all of the parents disagree with. It's shocking what they're doing. So I was surprised to see it."

"Do you think that the 20 GOP senators who voted to confirm Merrick Garland made a mistake?" Athey asked.

"No, I think that he's a good man," Trump replied. "I think he is a person that, you know, believes liberally. Somebody else would have gone in and it might have been different. You could have had somebody that would have been radical left. I don't think he's radical left, but not everybody would agree with what he's doing, having to do with school boards."

Trump then brought up prosecutions by the Department of Justice.

"And I guess people would like to see no politics involved. That includes going after people that are political or politicians with local, state and federal prosecutors, which is happening too, at a far greater rate," Trump said.

Former President Donald Trump released an angry statement on Wednesday after a Georgia judge ruled against an attempt to challenge the 2020 presidential election in Fulton County.

Henry County Superior Court Chief Judge Brian Amero ruled that a lawsuit filed by nine Georgia voters "failed to allege a particularized injury."

"Here we go again," Trump complained. "After a long wait, a judge in Georgia refuses to let us look at the ballots, which I have little doubt are terrible. This whole situation is a disgrace to our Country."

"Our Country is going to hell," he continued, "and we are not allowed transparency even in our Elections."

Trump went on to call the ruling "so unfair."

"Our Elections are so corrupt and nobody wants to do anything about it!" he concluded.

Trump claims no supply chain problems during his administration despite infamous toilet paper shortages

    John Wright
    November 16, 2021

Former President Donald Trump is falsely claiming there were no issues with the U.S. supply chain during his administration.

In an interview with MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell that aired Tuesday night, Trump accused President Joe Biden of "destroying our country."

"You look at every single thing, even the supply chains. Did you hear even a question of a problem with the supply chain?" Trump said, referring to his time in office.

Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway made the same false claim during an appearance on Fox News earlier this month.

"I worked in that White House for four years," Conway told host Sean Hannity. "We never even heard of a such of a thing. There was no supply chain crisis."

The Huffington Post called Conway's claim her "most brazen Trump lie yet."

"Supply chain issues were one of the most dominant stories of 2020, when Trump was president and Conway was working in the White House as the start of the coronavirus pandemic triggered panic buying," the site noted. "That, in turn, caused nationwide shortages of everything from toilet paper to pasta, leading to empty shelves in supermarkets."

Former president Donald Trump apparently fell victim to a double-negative on Saturday night — inadvertently stating that anyone who believes his "big lie" is stupid or corrupt.

WATCH: ‘Drunk uncle’ Trump crashes another wedding and drops an F-bomb on Mark Milley

    John Wright
    December 04, 2021

Former president Donald Trump reportedly crashed another wedding on Saturday, but instead of using his speech to congratulate the couple, he ranted about Gen. Mark Milley and the 2020 election.

"I know Trump claims he doesn’t drink, but he sounded even more like a drunk uncle at a wedding tonight than usual," attorney Ron Filipkowski wrote on Twitter, above video of Trump's remarks.

In the video, Trunp appears to be recounting an alleged conversation he had with Milley, the Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman, about withdrawing U.S. troops from Afghanistan.

Referring to "$70 million planes," Trump claims he told Milley, "You mean you think it's cheaper to leave it there so they can have it than it is to fill it up with a half a tank of gas and fly it into Pakistan or fly it back to our country?"

Mocking Milley's voice, Trump says the general responded, "Yes sir, I think it's cheaper, sir. "

"That's when I realized he was a f*cking idiot," Trump tells the audience, to laughter and applause.

In another clip, Trump falsely claims the 2020 election was "all rigged."

"The mail-in ballots, it was just horrible," he tells the wedding party, before referring to the Capitol insurrection as a "protest."

"The insurrection took place on Election Day, and the rest was a protest, and what they should be investigating is the election, not what took place that day, because the reason they had the protest was because of the election," Trump says. "It's very simple."

It's not the first time Trump has used the occasion of someone else's wedding to push his "big lie."

"One wedding-related fear many people have is the prospect of a drunk guest grabbing the mic and, through slurred words, asking everyone to take their seats so they can just 'say a couple of words,' tripping over the bandleader’s foot in the process and yelling, 'Hey, man, watch where you’re going!' before launching into a rambling, incoherent speech about how they and the bride were supposed to be together before the groom came along and stole her," Vanity Fair reported in March. "Presumably fewer, if any, have ever worried about a former president of the United States wandering into their reception and giving a toast that involves ranting about how the election was stolen from him, in addition to some incomprehensible thoughts on the situation at the border and how he could have made a beautiful deal with the Iranian government the likes of which the world had never seen. Until now!"

Watch the clips from Saturday's wedding, as well as from the one in March, below.

Sean Spicer listens uncomfortably as Trump rants about Ashli Babbitt: 'They shot her and they killed her!'

Newsmax host Sean Spicer asked former President Donald Trump about former Mike Pence's decision to certify the results of the 2020 presidential election -- and was promptly given an earful about slain MAGA rioter Ashli Babbitt.

During a telephone interview, Trump attacked Pence for not following his plan to refuse to certify the election before pivoting to the fate of the Trump supporters who rioted at the Capitol on his behalf.

Trump got particularly emotional when talking about Babbitt, who was shot by Capitol Police officer Michael Byrd as she tried to break into the congressional chamber.

"They killed Ashli Babbit!" Trump fumed. "They shot her and they killed her! There was no reason for that! If that ever happened the other way around, you would be seeing trials on television right now! And the man that did it wouldn't have a chance!"

Trump then seemingly criticized Byrd directly.

"This guy couldn't get out fast enough to say he shot an unnamed lady!" Trump complained. "They killed Ashli Babbitt!"

As Trump ranted, Spicer frequently blinked while maintaining a slack-jawed facial expression.
