Its interesting you would confess to committing felonies on a public porn forum. You might want to take a look at your conservative/Republican white privilege. It might not be the insurance policy you think it is.

Here's why MAGA rioters thought they'd get away with posting selfies taken at the Capitol

Many Trump supporters who took part in the January 6th riots at the United States Capitol building made the job of law enforcement officials much easier by snapping incriminating photos of themselves committing crimes as they were happening.

MLive.com this week talked with several extremism experts for some clues about why so many MAGA rioters thought they'd get away with sharing photos of themselves breaking the law to the entire world.

Sam Jackson, a professor at the University at Albany who studies anti-government militias, tells MLive.com that the rioters likely thought they would succeed in overturning the results on the 2020 election and thus imagined creating historical records of themselves to show they were heroes at a world-changing event.

"I think a lot of it has to do with the folks who participated feel like they weren't doing anything wrong, probably combined with a sense that they thought they were doing something historic," he explained.

Josh Pasek, a professor at the University of Michigan, similarly tells MLive.com that many of the MAGA rioters have likely been surprised to learn that America has not greeted them as liberators.

"The people who went to the Capitol trying to 'stop the steal,' by and large, expected that they were going to succeed at that and thought that they would really push the government to make different decisions," he said. "Some of them didn't realize the seriousness with which storming the Capitol would be taken."

I've never committed any felonies people buying ammo have. Trust me these democrats have checked all boxes before sales. Personal info I have looked up after these sales of accessories have been purchased by felons after admitting they have none. Read what I wrote it does not include firearms. Trust me their local law enforcement have been contacted because I do not have the time for felons in my country. NCIS background checks are not done on ammo and accessories.

      Brush up on your laws

How many times do I need to tell you I'm not a Republican I've always voted for the one I think is going to better my wallet. I've voted both ways over the years.

MAGA-Loving Court Worker Says ‘Bong Rips’ Made Him Send Threats to Dem Leaders

A former New York State court worker on trial for threatening to murder prominent Democrats testified on Tuesday that he wrote the social media posts after months of social isolation and “a few bong rips”—and didn’t expect anyone to take them seriously. “If you look at what I was saying, the idea that I would somehow borrow someone’s gun and waltz into Biden’s inauguration ceremony like some Looney Tunes character. I think it’s a pretty ridiculous idea,” Brendan Hunt, 37, said in Brooklyn federal court, according to the New York Daily News.

Hunt is accused of making threats against House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, and others, following the 2020 election. On Tuesday, he said the remarks, which included encouraging followers to “kill your senators,” came out of “frustration with things in general.”

“I had been listening over the last few years to a lot of rhetoric and a lot of political rhetoric on both sides of the aisle. A lot of stuff on the left was mentioning things like ‘kill Trump’ ... One of my favorite actors, Johnny Depp, said he wanted to do a John Wilkes Booth on Trump,” Hunt said. “I was taking out my frustration on my family members as well ... Especially to my father in texts to get some sort of rise out of him.” Hunt said the pandemic, his isolation, and “a lot of drinking and smoking” made him feel like he was “living in the Twilight Zone.”

Weapons of Mass Destruction Charges Filed Against Accused Whitmer Kidnap Plotters

On Wednesday, federal prosecutors filed charges of “conspiracy to use a weapon of mass destruction” against three of the men implicated in an alleged plot to kidnap Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer last year. Wolverine Watchmen militia members Adam Fox, 38, Barry Croft Jr., 45, and Daniel Harris, 23, are accused of assembling and testing improvised explosive devices intended for use during the kidnapping, both against her security detail and on a nearby highway bridge to “hinder a law enforcement response.” Feds say that the defendants also attempted to purchase $4,000 in explosives from an undercover FBI agent. Fourteen men have been charged in the plot, which would have involved multiple teams attempting to storm Whitmer’s vacation home. One man, Ty Garbin, 25, has flipped and will testify against his fellow militiamen.

BUSTED: Texas GOP precinct captain arrested in connection with Capitol riot

    Photo via AFP

On Wednesday, CNN reported that local GOP precinct chair and poll worker in north Texas has been arrested on multiple charges stemming from his alleged participation in the violent pro-Trump invasion of the U.S. Capitol on January 6.

"Mark Middleton, 52, was appointed as the chair of Precinct 14 in Cooke County in December, just a month after the presidential election, according to Chris McNamara, chairman of the Cooke County Republican Party," reported Ed Lavandera. "He was appointed by a committee of local Republicans to fill the vacant precinct officer position. The Texas Republican Party says the duty of its precinct chairs is to 'help promote and grow the local county party' and 'to maximize the Republican vote in your precinct.'"

Middleton and his wife, who were photographed at the riot, face seven federal charges, and have pleaded not guilty on all counts.

A number of Republican officials have been implicated in the riot directly, including former West Virginia state Rep. Derrick Evans. But several more who didn't actively participate spoke at the rally that immediately preceded it, or voted to overturn the election results based on the same conspiracy theory that drove the rioters.

Militia members intended to blow up bridge as part of kidnap plot against Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer: Prosecutors

Right-wing extremists accused of plotting the kidnapping and execution of Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer also tried to buy explosives to blow up a bridge near the Democrat's vacation home.

Adam Fox and Barry Croft, two of the anti-government extremists arrested in the plot, were charged along with another man with conspiracy to use weapons of mass destruction and federal firearm violations as part of a scheme to detonate explosives at a bridge to prevent police from reaching Whitmer's home, reported the Washington Post.

"The defendants engaged in domestic terrorism," prosecutors said an indictment filed on Wednesday.

A grand jury in the Western District of Michigan court added new charges against the 40-year-old Fox and 45-year-old Croft, along with another defendant, 23-year-old Daniel Harris.

Fox and Croft conducted surveillance in September on Whitmer's vacation home as part of the kidnapping plot, and prosecutors said they also looked for the best place to "mount an explosive charge" underneath a nearby bridge.

Fox and Croft, both members of the Three Percenters militia group, were angry over coronavirus restrictions imposed by Whitmer, and prosecutors said the recruited "like-minded individuals" to their plot to kidnap her in retaltiation.

One of their fellow conspirators, Ty Garbin, suggested Aug. 30 that they "take down" a bridge leading to Whitmer's vacation home to hinder police from responding, according to court documents, and two weeks later Fox and Croft scoped out a spot to place a bomb -- and even tested one out.

"[Croft and Harris] successfully detonated an improvised explosive device containing shrapnel near human silhouette targets to assess its effectiveness as an anti-personnel weapon," the indictment said.

Fox ordered $4,000 worth of explosives Sept. 13 from a co-conspirator who was actually an undercover FBI agent, and Fox, Harris and another man, Kaleb Franks, drove Oct. 7 to Ypsilanti to buy them.

Republican Oregon state Representative Mike Nearman is facing legal charges for allowing far-right protesters to enter the state Capitol on Monday, December 21, 2020. His actions violated the building's COVID-19 and safety protocols.

Nearman faces a first-degree misdemeanor charge for official misconduct and a second-degree misdemeanor charge for criminal trespass, according to Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB). He is scheduled to appear in the Marion County Court at 9 a.m. on May 11.

Surveillance video on December 21, 2020 captured Nearman exiting a locked Capitol building door. Upon exiting, far-right demonstrators, including Patriot Prayer members, forced their way into the building. They had been outside protesting the state's coronavirus restrictions.

After entering the building, demonstrators fought with state troopers and Salem police. One man allegedly sprayed officers with bear mace. Others shattered glass doors and attacked journalists outside. Meanwhile, Nearman walked around the building and entered on the opposite side, OPB reported.

At the time, lawmakers were meeting in a special session to discuss a COVID-19 relief bill.

Well now this was an interesting bit of news, wonder why its just now getting attention? Think about it. This is just the kind of insult stumbler and wrong story are quick to spin and twist. They losing their touch?

Rep. Lauren Boebert unfurls space blanket during Biden speech to bring attention to immigration crisis at southern border | Washington Examiner
Rep. Lauren Boebert unfurls space blanket during Biden speech to bring attention to immigration crisis at southern border
Rep. Lauren Boebert unfolded a space blanket associated with migrant detention centers as she sat and listened to President Joe Biden give a speech to a joint session of Congress.

“Lauren Boebert has unfurled a space blanket,” Daily Beast reporter Matt Fuller tweeted as Biden addressed the joint session of Congress nearly 100 days into his presidency.

Alright, so Lauren Boebert just sort of loudly opened a space blanket—like shook it free so that everyone could hear it in the chamber—and then just draped it on her lap.

I honestly don't know what it means.

    — Matt Fuller (@MEPFuller) April 29, 2021

The Colorado Republican covered herself with the blanket, similar to the blanket that migrants have been given at border detention centers over the past few months, and continued listening to the speech.

    — Alex Salvi (@alexsalvinews) April 29, 2021

“President Biden did not address or bring attention to the crisis at our southern border,” Boebert’s office told the Washington Examiner. "So Rep. Boebert did.”

Biden has been widely criticized by conservatives for his unwillingness to refer to the record number of migrants, many of them unaccompanied minors, flowing into the country since he took office.

The president briefly touched on immigration in his Wednesday night speech, saying that we need to look at the “root” of the problem, which he said includes violence, corruption, and hunger in other countries. Biden also said he had faith that Vice President Kamala Harris, who he appointed as his “border czar,” will “get the job done."

The president did not offer specifics as to what will be done with the tens of thousands of unaccompanied minors currently in custody at the border.

A newly released video shows a group of rioters at the Capitol attacking police officers during the failed insurrection on Jan 6.

The video was obtained by NBC Washington through a legal challenge. It was shared online by NBC's Scott MacFarlane.

In the clip, rioters can be seen beating police with objects. The officers appear to be backed into an alcove at the Capitol.

MacFarlane pointed out that the angry sounds of rioters is one of the most notable features of the video.

    Watch the clip below.

How is one knowingly breaking any laws when the purchasing person is stating they are not a felon when buying. When they check all the boxes before the purchase. These people were found out later when one did random checks on their names at a later date just to see what political party they belong to. Those individuals were then reported to local authorities. The buyers are lying. They do same thing when buying from stores in person no one is checked.

      Then how do you know...

Also seems you have an obsession, "just to see what political party they belong to."

Also, why would you randomly do a background check LATER, when it would take just as long at the moment of purchase? You need the sale that much?

I'm not obsessed with any party. Violence is coming from both sides. These are not background checks you can get anyone's court history with name address it is public knowledge. Felons to illegals can walk into any store and purchase anything firearm related besides a weapon. This needs to change because it is taking place daily.

Was all done by independent research committee which list of customer names and addresses are submitted to. It's all being done in a study in the purchases of firearm accessories. Optics, Stocks, Ammo etc. Pretty much for future regulations to come.

Garland asks Congress for $85 million in extra funding to fight domestic terrorism

Attorney General Merrick Garland is requesting $85 million in additional funding from Congress to bolster the Justice Department and FBI's efforts to combat domestic terrorism, according to a copy of his opening remarks before a House Appropriations subcommittee.

Why it matters: Garland, FBI Director Christopher Wray and intelligence agencies have repeatedly warned that violent extremists pose an "elevated" threat against the country this year.

    • The attorney general has pledged to crack down on violence linked to white supremacists and right-wing militia groups, and has made prosecuting those involved in the Jan. 6 Capitol siege his top priority.
    • Garland told Congress in February that "we are facing a more dangerous period than we faced in Oklahoma City" in 1995, when an extremist attack killed 168 people and injured over 680 others.
By the numbers: The Justice Department is seeking a $45 million increase in funding for the FBI for domestic terrorism investigations and $40 million for U.S. attorneys to manage domestic terrorism cases.

A GOP pundit attempted to downplay and whitewash the Capitol riot -- it backfired big time

A right-wing conservative pundit found himself at the center of criticism and controversy when he attempted to whitewash the deadly series of events that unfolded at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6.

According to The HuffPost, political commentator and Trump enabler Dinesh D'Souza took to Twitter on Monday, May 3, posted the infamous photo of the man carrying House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's (D-Calif) lectern as he attempted to downplay what transpired that day.

"Does this LOOK like an insurrection? A riot? A coup attempt?" D'Souza tweeted. "If it doesn't walk like a duck or talk like a duck then it probably isn't a duck."

D'Souza, a convicted felon who managed to receive a pardon from former President Donald Trump back in 2017, received swift backlash as they refused to allow him to diminish the severity of the deadly incident. As the photo began circulating on social media, the man was identified as Adam Christian Johnson. Like many other members of the pro-Trump mob that stormed the U.S. Capitol, Johnson was hit with a number of charges including "entering a restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, theft of government property, and violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds."

D'Souza did not mention any of the other disturbing photos that offered a look at a different side of the Capitol riots. Those photos included images of the pro-Trump mob "storming the building, smashing property, assaulting police and threatening to harm elected officials."

Twitter users did not let him forget that.
