Dearborn — U.S. Rep. Debbie Dingell said in a statement Monday evening that her office in Dearborn was broken into and vandalized earlier in the day.

“I’m deeply concerned about the break-in & vandalization of my Dearborn office today,” the Dearborn Democrat said in the statement. “Our door & windows were smashed & memorabilia – especially John’s items — was broken.”

Dingell’s late husband, U.S. Rep. John Dingell, served 59 years in Congress. He died in 2019.

The office is located in the 19000 block of W. Outer Drive.

“Thankfully, my staff & I are safe & no one was hurt, but we must also recognize the impact attacks like this one & constant threats have had on my staff & all Congressional staff. This needs to stop now.


“The motive for today’s incident is unclear, but what I can tell you is that the disrespect, violence, & division need to end in this country. We need to practice civility and kindness, not divisiveness and anger.”

Dingell said her office has been receiving threats for months amid increasingly bitter partisan divides in Washington, D.C.

She stressed that “violence & vandalism aren’t the answer.”

“This vandalization really hits home. Regardless of if your views differ from mine or from your neighbor’s, we need to learn to hear each other out & work together to solve the issues facing our nation.”

Dingell said the incident was reported to Dearborn police and U.S. Capitol Police.

Dingell was in Metro Detroit Monday at a Detroit Economic Club meeting with Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan and U.S. Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo.

Raimondo, a former governor of Rhode Island and a one-time venture capitalist, was in Michigan to push legislation backed by President Joe Biden to boost domestic manufacturing of semiconductor chips, which has hampered Detroit's automakers.

Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) on Tuesday played a threatening voicemail that she received from an apparent supporter of Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), whom she has been feuding with for the last several days.

At a press event, Omar again condemned Boebert for likening her to a suicide bomber, and then played audio of the voicemail that she received shortly after her ill-fated call with Boebert earlier this week.

"I would love the opportunity to take you off the face of the f*cking Earth, you Muslim piece of sh*t jihadist," the caller said. "We know what you are, you're a f*cking traitor. You will not live much longer, I can almost guarantee you that."

Last week, unearthed video showed Boebert likening Omar to a suicide bomber in front of cheering supporters, while also labeling Omar as a member of the "jihad squad."

Tensions in Congress have been running high all year, starting with the January 6th riots by Trump supporters at the United States Capitol and continuing through to Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) earlier this month posting a cartoon on social media that depicted him murdering Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-MN).

Omar made the comments during a Sunday appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union.”

“A new way forward can’t be put in place if we have a department that is having a crisis of credibility, if we have a department that’s led by a chief who’s suited for racism, if we have a department that hasn’t solved half of the homicides,” Omar said. “And so, you can’t really form a department that is rotten to the root. Omar’s comments came amid nationwide protests against police brutality following the death of George Floyd in the custody of a white Minneapolis police officer late last month. The protests in turn have sparked debate about whether police departments should be defunded or reformed – leaving the question: what would be the alternative?

Minneapolis’ City Council members last week announced a veto-proof push to disband the city’s police department. On Friday, the council passed a resolution to start crafting a new model of public safety with the community’s input, without delving into many specifics.

Former president Donald Trump and his supporters demonized and terrorized two rank-and-file elections workers in Georgia for months over a conspiracy theory alleging they had pulled fake ballots from suitcases at a ballot-counting center.

Wandrea “Shaye” Moss is a clerical worker for the Fulton County elections office, while her mother Ruby Freeman was a temporary worker counting ballots.

In early December, Trump's campaign falsely alleged — based on a video that went viral in right-wing media — that the two Black women had pulled fake ballots from suitcases hidden under tables at Atlanta's State Farm Arena after the Nov. 3 election.

The claim — heavily amplified by Trump himself and his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani — led to Moss and Freeman being inundated with hundreds of death threats, including many laced with racial slurs, according to Reuters. Strangers showed up at their houses and banged on their doors, driving them into hiding and forcing them to take elaborate measures to conceal their identities. But they couldn't afford personal security protection, and the county wouldn't pay for it.

"The threats hurled at Freeman and Moss are part of a broader campaign of fear against election administrators that has been chronicled by Reuters this year," the report states. "The story of Moss and Freeman shows how some of the top members of the Trump camp – including the incumbent president himself – conducted an intensive effort to publicly demonize individual election workers in the pursuit of overturning the election. Some of these targets – including the top election officials in Georgia, Pennsylvania and Arizona – are notable political figures in their states. Others, like Moss and Freeman, have been rank-and-file workers. Moss’s full-time job pays about $36,000 a year. Freeman’s temp gig paid $16 an hour."

After Freeman was first identified by Trump's campaign, she made a series of 911 calls, telling dispatchers that she had gotten a flood of threats.

“It’s scary because they’re saying stuff like, ‘We’re coming to get you. We are coming to get you,'" Freeman told a dispatcher.

“Lord Jesus, where’s the police?” she asked a dispatcher two days later. “I don’t know who keeps coming to my door. Please help me."

At one point, Freeman showed a police officer 428 emails and text messages on her cell phone, almost all of them threats, but no one was ever prosecuted. That figure doesn't include the threats the pair received via social media.

“The coon c*nts should be locked up for voter fraud!!!” one person wrote on the right-wing social media platform Parler.

“She should be shot,” others wrote on Facebook. “YOU SHOULD BE HUNG OR SHOT FOR YOUR CRIMES."

The threats only increased after Trump mentioned Moss and Freeman during his infamous Jan. 2 phone call with Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, and they continued through the summer.

Although some election workers — including Fulton County Elections Director Richard Barron — have chosen to quit due to threats from Trump supporters, Moss reported is staying.

"As a single mom, she needs the paycheck and the health insurance," according to Reuters.

Ruby's boss, Ralph Jones, is mostly forgotten in the mix.

From the first article I googled on these two -- Fulton County: Wandrea Shaye Moss reportedly removed everyone from the State Farm Arena on 2020 Election night and sent them home, and then she and her mother, Ruby Freeman, and her boss, Ralph Jones, were caught on video pulling suitcases filled with ballots from under a covered table and jamming them into the vote tabulation machines. The trio were filmed pushing stacks of ballots through the machines two and three times each. Wandrea Shaye Moss and Ruby Freeman have been subpoenaed for a deposition in a civil trial against Fulton County.

Still think they're innocents just inadvertently caught up in something bigger than them, Stumbler? There can be no doubt at this point that the Democrats cheated to elect the hapless Joe Biden. Yeah, he's the 81 million vote monster (most votes evvverrr for president!!!) who never took reporters questions, couldn't leave his basement to campaign, and when he did, maybe a hundred or so supporters would show up to see him as saliva dribbled down his chin.

The evidence for Democrat cheating is overwhelming. It’s on video. There are thousands of sworn affidavits signed by poll workers who saw the fraud as it happened in each of the swing states: PA, GA, NV, MI, WI, AZ. It very likely occurred in other states as well but, as in California, it went unnoticed because fraud there has been institutionalized. For those who really want to know, how Democrats cheated has been discovered, analyzed, exposed for all to see and read.

Had American poll watchers witnessed such corruption in another country, the election would have been deemed illegitimate. The left planned for years to steal the 2020 election. Between 2016 and 2020, lawyers like Mark Elias furiously plotted how to ensure a Trump defeat. They surreptitiously foraged the election laws of swing states and then sneaked in with lawsuits that no one paid attention to, all in order to secure a stolen election. Every state that purchased Dominion vote machines knew they were vulnerable to programmable interference.

With the sworn testimony of over a thousand witnesses to fraud, along with the video and analyses by numerous experts in cyber technology, there's no doubt about the level of cheating which took place. It was massive! In a normal world, every Republican member of Congress would have been equally outraged, champing at the bit to protest the fraudulent Electoral College vote. But many were not.

Despite the damage done to the Constitution, many anti-Trump Republicans were not outraged at all. Like McConnell and his "small group" of minions, they were not. Like Kinzinger and Cheney and all the other Trump-haters, they were not. Like the generals the president recruited for his cabinet and to head the JCOS, they were not.

And the elephant in the room that all politicians currently in power refuse to discuss is -- were other countries also involved too? The Five Eyes, Italy, Ukraine, and....China.

'I see a war coming,' says militia leader with Colorado GOP ties

A prominent Colorado Republican activist on Tuesday urged fellow conservatives to reject political violence and extremism, even as he claimed that the country is under threat from communist tyranny and on a path towards “civil war.”

John Tiegen, a Marine veteran from Colorado Springs and founder of the United American Defense Force, made the comments on a “Giving Tuesday” livestream hosted by FEC United, the fringe activist group with which the UADF is affiliated.

Speaking to an audience of fellow conservatives, Tiegen acknowledged the support for extremist violence that exists among some on the right, and warned of the dangers of such views.

“We need to get rid of the extremist ideology, we really do,” Tiegen said. “For UADF, a lot of people want to go to civil war, they want to have conflict. You don’t want it.”

But Tiegen, who urged conservatives to set aside their “minor differences” and unite to oppose government overreach in schools and the economy, also predicted that violence will erupt if conservatives aren’t victorious.

“I see a war coming, if we don’t stand together,” Tiegen said. “And trust me, you don’t want to see it. A lot of veterans — I’ve seen it — there are some veterans that pray for it here in the U.S., which is stupid.”

The UADF, founded by Tiegen in the wake of nationwide 2020 protests over police violence, bills itself as a “humanitarian aid organization” with a “parallel mission” of armed defense. Tiegen regularly posted images of group members training and posing with firearms before his social media accounts were eventually suspended late last year.

Tiegen and the UADF organized the October 2020 “Patriot Muster” rally in downtown Denver, which turned deadly when a man was fatally shot by a security guard employed by a local news station.

FEC United was founded by far-right conspiracy theorist Joe Oltmann, a former digital marketing executive from Douglas County who has been instrumental in pushing debunked claims relating to Denver-based Dominion Voting Systems and the integrity of the 2020 election. Oltmann is a defendant in a defamation lawsuit filed by a former Dominion employee.

Kristi Burton Brown, currently the chair of the Colorado Republican Party, served as FEC United’s president as recently as November 2020, according to testimony from Oltmann. Burton Brown was elected state GOP chair in March 2021.

The group has spread a wide variety of false and misleading information relating to the election, the COVID-19 pandemic, “critical race theory” in schools and more.

On Tuesday’s livestream, Tiegen and other right-wing activists celebrated the victories won last month by Republican candidates in local school board elections in Colorado and beyond, and delivered stark warnings about the threat posed by communism, which FEC United’s Stephanie Wheeler said was backed in the U.S. by “foreign entities” with “deep pockets.”

Tiegen urged conservatives who oppose measures like pandemic-related public health restrictions to “be a force to be reckoned with.”

*“We are being forced into communism, forced into a tyrannical dictatorship,” he said. “It’s just going to get worse. … There has to be a line, there has to be a limit. I’ve already reached it. I’m not going no more.”

“This is a last stand that we’re kind of doing,” Tiegen added. “We have to — we took a lot back here in Colorado on the education side, so that’s a good start. But … you have to stand together if you truly want to fight back.”
