  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

Fellow authors, what do you find works best when describing how a woman is dressed in your stories? Particularly when she is wearing lingerie? I have a clothing / shoe / lingerie fetish so I totally have a very concrete idea in my mind what the lady is wearing, to the point where I find pictures that are like what I am thinking and save them to a word doc. But I am somewhat at odds with myself about how detailed to write it into the story and then how best to write it. Any advice?

    1. MidnightWatcher
Looking at pictures is a great way to focus in on the details and see things we might have overlooked in our minds eye. As a digital artist I take great pains to seek out details much like you should with writing. Not only do I focus on the clothes but how they are worn, are they too small? pulled up or down slightly, do they match any tan line? How is the skin reacting to the lingerie, is it so tight it is leaving stretch marks? Is it comfortable? Is it not warm enough and there are goose bumps? How hard will it be to slide off, is it better to rip it off? Of course writing leaves much more to the readers imagination, your words are guide and not necessarily a full painting, unless you want it to be. I feel though short stories leave more to the imagination where novels like Moby Dick give you every tiny detail to where there is little left for ones own mind to fill in on it's own.

I think describing lingerie helps since it is part of the erotic scene you're building. Every day clothes less so unless it's leading somewhere.

Yes. Care about what you're writing. Make it obvious that you're writing with passion. Often times what someone is wearing, or what to focus on, isn't as important as how it is being described, who it's being described by, and how clear the desire for the character is, whether that's from the narrator or a first-person perspective.

Hello Friends, some of you might have noticed I pulled down my 6 parts of Megan and Kyle. I was called out, and rightfully so, by a number of people for bad spelling/grammar and a need for proofreading. I have been working on cleaning it up but wondering if there might be someone willing to help a new author with some proofreading. I am willing to swap editing services.

In case you are wondering the 6 parts run about 27,300 words, or 49 pages.
Thank you all for your consideration.

I signed up for a free Grammarly account and that did a lot. I had one part with 186 suggestions, of which I accepted 183 of them. Have to be a bit careful with some of their suggestions, the try for concise, and suggest eliminating some adjectives. 9 out 10 their suggestion is valid, but sometimes you have to ignore it since you need it for a story reason.

I agree. I purposely have questionable grammar or odd phrasing in dialogue for realism. Regular people don't speak in complete sentences all the time. Blocks of text do usually read better if the grammar is correct. And yes, for the purposes of these stories, concise isn't always best.

yeah like "Oh" does not quite describe an orgasm like "ooooOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHH!" (I even got the red squiggly line here in this editor....) :)

Mystery down-voting by others is a problem on this site. Unfortunate but true.

I guess you could disallow anonymous votes, but then that would greatly limit the overall votes

I can respect a down vote, but I just wish I knew why.
      • Is it something I can fix like spelling, grammar etc?
      • Is it topical? Maybe I can tag my story better so the reader knows to skip it if they like (for example, I can't deal with rape stories. Fine for others I guess, but for me that is a topic too far. I see a rape tag and I tend to move on.)
      • Is it something with my storytelling craft that I can improve upon?

It's not a big deal because I'm not getting paid for writing but I do find it odd that each and every time my story ends up on the front page of the top 30 list I get a random 3 down votes all of a sudden. Now, I read many stories on this site and it boggles my mind on how some stories are rated. I know incest stories are the most popular on this site but some of these stories I read because they are rated highly are not that great.

Just an opinion. Keep on reading.

I agree with both of you. I see some of these stories and even when the story is pretty good the writing is not. Then I was getting dinged for some relatively minor mistakes. Finally once person was kind enough to take the time to explain it to me. So I worked on improving.

However I do think there may be some long timers, or just very competitive people, who take the time to down vote popular stories. Personally, I couldn't be bothered doing that. I suppose some would say, why care. Maybe I shouldn't. But I can't help myself. I read all the comments and reply to some. I take not of the vote totals and the percentage. I wonder how some stories have hundreds of thousands of views. To me it's all part of bothering to post them in the first place.

The Reply or Comment can get confusing until you're used to it. Also, you only get a short time to Edit or Delete which is important when posting a story in this forum.

    Hi everyone.

I've been posting on this site for a while now (and I've posted on others) and have seen a issues with voting everywhere. I try to keep a low profile, because doing otherwise can piss people off. I don't want to piss people off. I just want to publish my humble stories and have them fairly considered. I try to be a good contributor. I vote my conscience and hope everyone else does too.

Here are a few observations from lurking around a while. They are well intended. Please take them as such. They are not my actions, just my observation.

    1. Take time to proof your work. Over and over. I re-read a story many, many, times and still make typos. Bad grammar and too many typos are a turn off (or no paragraph separation. I don't bother to read it, I just move on). Try a different format before you publish. Get a different perspective and go from Word to Notepad, for example.
    2. Many people vote on genre. If I post a gay story, it may never end up on the front page or hang around there for long. Same with other genres. It may be voted on without the voter even reading it. I'm not into water-sports, so I don't' read them. But, I don't vote them down. To each their own.
    3. If you complain about voting, you may be reminded you are not the all time greatest author on earth and may even be voted down for spite. People have been driven off of the site after seeing stories repeatedly buried. So, some advice, never brag "I had ten stories on the main page and they suddenly disappeared! People tell me I'm the best porn writer ever! So, I know my stories are the greatest? What happened?"
    4. Authors are attention hogs. We want our story read. We want comments and positive feedback for all the work we put into the stories we don't get paid for. To that end, I've seen authors on this site make a positive comment how they love my story, but give a negative vote. It was a simple mistake, right? Or were they so used to down voting others, they forgot they were signed on? I wish this did not occur, but it does. A while ago, a good story on this site was typically rated in the mid 90%, now it is the low 90% and often keeps sinking until it is off the front page.
    5. If you see a story at the top of the front page too long, it may slowly be driven down.
    6. If you have see an author with a few stories on the front page, realize they are consuming valuable real estate from the other authors. Some do not like that. I've experienced it. I therefore try to write one longer story, instead of five, three chapter quickies.
    7. If you don't allow anonymous votes, some authors have burner accounts and will vote you down. And, it takes less votes to do it.

I trust the public and my fellow authors to vote a story up if they like it and hope that is enough. I wish we could all do the same.

Peace, health, and happiness to you all,

    Most humbly,

    UU

I don't doubt any of what you say here. Thanks for the perspective from someone who has been around awhile.

I think my main thing is I wish people were a bit more straightforward. If you don't like my story tell me why. Or stop reading mine if I'm not your style of writer. Why keep voting down future stories. We can agree to disagree on what I write about.

New guy here. I love to wright fan fic, incest and murder/rape stories. and working on other topics as well. One question so far. I was looking around trying to figure out the site and have mostly. My question is I came across no PEDO stories and I know I have read stories with under 18 in them. What is considered PEDO?

    1. MidnightWatcher
The rules section specifically says no under age stories. However I have read many stories that just mentions daughter and never specifies an age, which can mean any age, up to you to fill in the blanks.

Your story could get blocked for anyone under 18. Whether they do or not, that's someone else's decision.

Do you other writers think it's better to wait to post more stories on sexstories.com if your current newest ones are doing well? I wonder if I overloaded with Naked Day chapters because it was all new to me.

I still have the Epilogues to post there and one or two other stories I'm working on. Will posting new stuff have people skipping the previous ones? What do you think?

I've read a couple of your stories and I think you can wait a couple days before putting a new one out because they are a quick read. If you ever consider writing a longer form story wait a week or two in between so the first story can get some traction. It's a tricky balance because you want the reader to have some anticipation but you don't want them waiting too long.

Take it from me. I know... LOL

    1. NCfan
I can't imagine writing something that long. Although I've had a couple that were just long enough to post on others I was already concerned that I'd gone on too long. It seems like the reader would need a break in there. Are long form writers just doing one very long story or are there still posts of different chapters that are all long? I think I'd always be tempted to break things into chapters.

I can't speak for other writers but for me I'm just very descriptive in my writing. I try to paint a picture of the world I create so that in part is why it tends to be long.

One thing I'll say is, I have no idea what people like. Hah. I sorted the Naked Day stories on sexstories and the ones with the least views and lowest voting are some of the ones where I thought I was being "creative". I liked them but the world seemed pissed that I messed around with the characters. Or maybe they were just bored with the whole thing by then. It makes me wonder how the epilogue stories will be received. I may combine some of them into single longer posts.

I have been creating stuff that appeals to myself. If I'm not fully into what I'm creating it becomes work. I do draw on inspiration from decades of porn culture and life experience or things gleamed. Faps and other community sources are also great ways to get an idea of subtle niches that can be rolled in. Like there is a niche for pictures of wife's being gangbanged with their wedding rings visible in the shots... subtle and niche. It would be really hard to appeal to everyone, write about what gets you off and that is also what gets some others off too, fuck the rest.

Would someone please explain the math used to generate ratings? I have a story with a rating currently of 83.3%. However there are 6 votes (it was just released today) and 4 positive and 2 negative votes. None from registered users. Last I checked 4/6 = 66.67%. So how does this site get its numbers??? Really? It makes no sense. My inner math nerd to going crazy.....

Give it a chance to update. It sometimes takes a bit for the votes to register.

The math is correct, but there is a bug in the system where once in a while a positive vote is displayed as negative. Instead of the 4+ and 2-, you really have 5+ and only 1-. It usually corrects itself in time.

So this is kind of a technical question to the moderators. I am totally fine with no pedo, I'm am actually on the same page with you with that. However how about births? One of my biggest fetishes is pregnant women. Is pictures (3d digitally created) images of women giving birth still part of that "no under age rule" if the baby is seen in the scene coming out of her vagina? And then what if there is a cock fucking that vagina while the baby is coming out? The cock isn't fucking the baby, just the women giving birth. Maybe there is 2 cocks helping hold her vagina open....Seriously.

And what about naked kids in the background in an ethnic setting where it is common like parts of Western Africa? Not the focus of the work but to create a backdrop of authenticity? Is that still a violation?

What should I write about next? I've got almost all my writings that are here posted on sexstories.com. Just a couple of Naked Day Epilogues to go. It is kind of amusing that a couple of guys are annoyed that I keep posting them. Like they're forced to read them.

Some of the other stories are fairly popular. I'm not sure whether to try thinking of something new or continue one of the other stories. Either Trish Takes a Chance or Sisters at the Shore.

Do you writers go by what readers comment or just go by your own feelings?

Ha, that's why Naked Day went on so long. I'd lie there and the story would go on and on, so I had to write it. Sometimes I'd remember, Oh yeah, need some sex in here.

When you write, do you have an outline of how the whole story is going to go? Do you have a defined end?

With the shorter ones, yes, I had a particular story to tell. Naked Day was my first. I thought I'd just write this story of a few chapters, but then it grew and grew. I'd have ideas for another set of chapters, then again. Next thing I was "done" at 29 chapters. But then I had a few more ideas, so the Epilogues. Anyway, I'm done with that one now, just two more to post on sexstories

I'm also looking for info on this.

Say, for examples I've got a story that starts with the MC recalling playing doctor as a child. They check out each others junk, they watch each other pee. Otherwise, no sex per se. Would this get my butt banned?

If I understand the spirit of this rule, we want to avoid posting anything that might even remotely turn on a pedophile. In that case, it's probably best to avoid underage characters entirely, even in short flashback sequences, right? Kind of sad, though, as so much of a character's personality is formed by their earliest sexual experiences.

Would love to read the thoughts of others. Thanks.

    1. mfan2112
The rules are somewhat vague. I had stories blocked about a nanny where she was defined clearly as over 18, as was the dad of the house. But there was a passing reference to "she put the baby to bed and they went to the bedroom." Very basic storytelling in my mind of how to get someone whose job it is to look after a little one, away from said little one to go have adult play. Just my experience within the last few months. YMMV

Basically safest to avoid underage characters. You can probably slide a 17 year old through but nothing referencing kids. And whatever they use to scan stories will often hit on non-story specific words like child. I got stopped for mentioning a shaved adult feeling like a 12 year old. (or something like that.)
