I'm new here! just wanted to say hi, and looking to get my 6 forum posts in. I am waiting (pending approval?) on my first story to publish. It says edit mode, even thought it was saved in publish mode. Hoping to see it soon listed under my stories.
Perhaps someone will know what I need to do differently to make it work!

 

Grammar is very important! Poor grammar can really ruin a story.
It is "Couldn't care less" , if you could care less, that means you care! If you could not care less, that means you do not care. Grammar is king. <Bow>

 

You're ok. It will stay like that 2-3 days. Maybe more if you hit the weekend. They run the stories through a process to look for things that are against site rules.

 

It's sad to me that you are correct. This site used to be a place that gave me a lot of good times and somewhere that I was proud to post a story. Now it has become a place where people write absurd shit about fucking any and all relatives who you can think of, and tell stories about who's dick you sucked on meth.

I submitted this story series a few days ago (The Sexy Story of Leanna) and I saw an initial surge of "positive" votes and was sitting in the 95/96% range. In the past few days, the negatives have been creeping in and I guess I am just looking for honest input as to what is causing that. I want to keep writing and need to use that input for my next go-round. I think I've gotten a fair amount of reads on the four parts so far but the votes are so low in comparison that the percentages are skewed into the 80's by just a few negative responses. Anyone like to give me some constructive criticism? I'm all ears.

I'll see if I can take a look at your story soon, been dealing with issues on the home front, some editing for a friend, and some of my own writing as of late. Not much reading time.

I have found the general reasons why people vote negative are

• They didn't read the tags and read a story that was not their cup of tea, or a tag that should have been there was missing
• There are technical issues (grammar, formatting) with the story that make it hard to read
• The story is just not that interesting
• The story is not incest (I swear all people want here anymore is incest, and my recent story, Daddy's Escort, is proof of that)
  
• The story has some, or a lot, of character development and the story is not 100% sex (mine tend to be this way)
• They are jealous authors/fans and down vote everyone else so theirs get higher ratings

All good points made. I've read many, many stories and have written a few as well. Most readers like something quick and to the point. Some readers, like myself, do like the long form stories with character building.

Anonymous down votes are a head scratcher especially when an author puts a great deal of time an effort in crafting a story just to get it shit on for no good reason. Then you see the top rated stories and read them and say WTF is this piece of shit that people are voting positively on such as..... LOL not going to do it

 

Ehh, you know, I just checked the top rated page and two of my chapters are right around chapters from ThroatHER and NCFan so I seem to be in good company. I'm confident that as the reads go up, the positives will too. My story is pretty compelling, at least I think it is......

 

I deleted my first story. It was too long and too much a story. I guess. I am waiting for something else to be published. I understand your feelings. Maybe my first person pov , will find more votes.

 

What is the age requirement for story characters? I don't want to get in trouble for submitting a story using teenagers if that is against the rules.

My story Redemption got REFUSED for age content. With all the fucking shit I read on here THAT story got refused? Fucking assholes. Is there anyone that can be appealed to? I know they don't respond to please to remove the spam.

You can have stories with people fucking men, women, children and all manner of farm animals but let a character get their 6 year old child back from social services and give them safety and education and that's fucking blocked. Fuck it. If I can't get this story published I'm done posting. Now way I'm just doing teen incest shit all the time.

General question....if you have a multi-part story that's broken up for easier reading, is it frowned upon to place a link to the next part of the saga at the end of each part? Haven't seen this done so either not a functionality of the site or not acceptable??
