    The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

    Hi all, I have seen several people posting that they are a new author here in the last few weeks, and I want to take a moment and make a PSA and recommend four excellent essays by the one and only, @BashfulScribe , or he who started this tread to begin with.

    These four excellent essays have been informative to me, and I want to make sure you all are aware of them. Sure, they are one person’s opinion, and nobody agrees totally with everything someone else says, but there are many good points for a new, or experienced author to consider in these.     @mfan2112 you don't have to take it down. when you go into "My Stories," just select Edit, and then resubmit after making the changes. If you take it down, you'll lose the hit tracking and ratings. That would be a real shame for a story that's about to break 150k hits with a 96.2 rating.

      Right now I'm working on a story and I realize I've gotten a decent ways into it and the main characters haven't had sex yet.

    Authors, what are your writing habits? What are those things you find yourself doing when you are most effective writing? Me, I turn on some instrumental jazz guitar music and pour a whiskey cola. (too cheap for Jack and Coke, store brand cola all the way here).

      Yup NCfan, fantasise either whilst driving on long motorway (Interstate) runs or whilst trying to sleep / return to sleep.
      I find it's a good place to think thro scenarios and try to make a mental note of sticking points to fix.
      I write odd bits and proof read whilst watching crappy tv in my favourite chair during the week.
      Most writing is done early mornings on my own, whilst the rest of the house is asleep at weekends..
      I listen back to stories and idea whilst working during the day (I work from home) and do the odd tweak..

      NCFan, I have a few stories that I started, and set aside when the plot for Dakota hit. I don't think I will pick it back up though. I started another story line, using some of the elements of the one I discarded, that I have also set aside. I might pick that one up, but the plot was so formulaic, Exec falls for the Intern, I might not.

      I find putting on mozart at a low volume helps. I know it sounds pretentious but anything else and my mind wanders. And I try to set a 25 minute timer that I don't deviate from. I do deviate, but at least I try.

    I find that the build up is usually within the first installment of 5,000 words. The debauchery usually then plays out in however many parts end up flowing.

    I don't tend to write the type of story that opens with, "I met a girl and screwed her after 20 minutes..." My stories build over time. I guess that's my quirk.

    I've posted a new one here on the forum. I already see a couple of typos so I'll work on those before posting at SexStories. If you get a chance to read it, let me know if you notice me changing perspective. It should be first person, but I did catch a full paragraph where I shifted to 3rd person. At least I noticed that before the edit option went away.

    This is a different kind of story for me. Since it's Halloween season I'm trying a different, sexual take on the Vampire legends. He's got a bit of a different attitude about the whole thing.

    So, my new one, A Touch of Evil got knocked down because a non-human spawned and was born the size of a child. BUT, the current top rated story is a mother masturbating her obviously underage son.

    Tom's Parallel World 5 has been read more times than 4, yet posted 23 days later..
    Bob, Sue & Anita's Holiday Romance 3 is almost double the reads of 2 and yet released same day..
    A lot of people are reading chapters the wrong way round !!
    ha ha ha ha.... puzzled...

    there is a bug somewhere. My own, Dakota's Surprise part 6 said it was from an unknown author. something wonky is going on.
