  2. Hello,

You can now get verified on forum.

The way it's gonna work is that you can send me a PM with a verification picture. The picture has to contain you and forum name on piece of paper or on your body and your username or my username instead of the website name, if you prefer that.

I need to be able to recognize you in that picture. You need to have some pictures of your self in your gallery so I can compare that picture.

Please note that verification is completely optional and it won't give you any extra features or access. You will have a check mark (as I have now, if you want to look) and verification will only mean that you are who you say you are.

You may not use a fake pictures for verification. If you try to verify your account with a fake picture or someone else picture, or just spam me with fake pictures, you will get Banned!

The pictures that you will send me for verification won't be public

    Best regards,

You can click create a thread and either write your story or copy and paste it from a document. Its rather simple, really.

I don’t think there’s a cure all for this, except best judgment and I can only speak for myself (keeping in mind this isn’t the site I consistently keep up with), but when it comes to the tags of violence, in my experience, it’s been better to have them and not need them than to leave them off entirely. For instance, there isn’t a CNC or RACK tag, so I’ll resort to a “rape” followed up with “romance” tag and put the word “fantasy” somewhere in the synopsis and hope it gets the point across. I mean technically it’s BDSM still, but it’s a weird area that can make people upset, at least in other places. I might be too cautious, though lol.

“Cruelty”, “extreme”, and “hardcore” trip me up too. If it has something I’ve learned most people aren’t cool with, it’s seemed better to add the “cruelty” tag as a “here’s your warning”. I use my feedback inbox from another source as a gauge to what caliber of people liked it.

“Authoritarian” has always meant, I’ve assumed, government involvement.

That being said, I thought your idea with the “bestiality” thing was really well done. That tag’s base wasn’t what you were going for with that story, but it was cool to see it placed where it was with the title of that story being what it was. It got the message across. Also, you can always place an italicized Author’s Note at the beginning so people can ignore it as they will and suffer the consequences!

Anyway, there’s my thoughts, for what good they may do.

    1. Payne_Hall
Oh! All this is with the judgment of not overdoing it too. I guess I should add that. I just mean that if it has something like needles or extreme play styles that aren’t easily ignored and might bother people, then a tag or two of warning seems to work pretty well. Not all of them or anything, but yeah.

Thoughts... yes of course many and more...

I should like to touch on your poor opinion of other people's lack of understanding when it comes to the writing topic of

"BDSM' 'Domination/Submission' 'Authoritarian', but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that other people understand them differently. Then there's 'Coercion', 'Blackmail' and 'Rape'."

You are so correct. You see the crowd that follows these topics are looking for something they can relate to. They need the victim to enjoy it, so that they can justify it, relate to it, understand it.

They do not understand that sadism is forcing someone to do something they normally wouldn't do, and their complete lack of enjoyment is the turn on.

The turn on itself for a sadist is the humiliation, or forced upon act the uncomfortable feeling. The fucking feeling of helplessness.... these are all a sadist's delight.

In fact in the psychological study of sex crimes it was determined that the worst thing a victim could do, was act like they wanted it to happen. As this alone could drive their attacker into a psychopathic and murderous rage, completely rendering them impotent.

Simply put. A sadist takes delight in others not taking delight.

Unfortunately one of the oldest sayings in the history of writing.

"Write what you know," goes unheeded, and many dabble in sadism because it's popular and have no real academic knowledge if the topic.

Is there any solution to nit being able to vote logged in? I am wanting to vote negative lol and it won't let me... I can go to random stories and vote positive while logged in, but not negative. Screenshot_20210130-165411_Chrome.jpg

Trying to vote on that grammatical nightmare that's at the top, since nobody has the balls to vote down on it and explain why

Or maybe begin a dialog on self improvement and the growth if academia amongst other writers.

Why not foster an environment where people are honest and vote true so that people can grade their work rather than live through some falsehood.

Everyone is afraid of bad scores and has fostered an environment where the lowly thrive, it is time for honest opinions so that people can learn and become greater.

Stand up, break the mold. Be bold, truthful and fair. Speak truth with kindness and always show that you care.

Awwww.... such a tearful, heartfelt message to the readers out there is the sexstories dot com world, my friend. Lol

They want what they want. And what they want is an uninspired, boring, snooze-fest of a story about mom/son, daddy/daughter, brother/sister fuckfest.

Your heart is in the right place but this is basically a smut site not a Creative Writing course at Harvard.

      The people have spoken!

Hi! I just found this thread and I think it's pretty cool to get to know a bit more behind the scenes of our writers! I also feel bad about adding to the incestious problem you're making note of here as that's currently my top story. What I was excited about finding this thread as I'm actually looking for critiques on how to better my craft. Lucky me, the my main interest- the actual BDSM side of things and that seems to be the topic at hand. Is there a better way to write for/find those people who are interested in written dynamics with meaning?

Hi, & welcome... Not all incest stories are bad, it's just that a LOT are "cannon fodder"... `my sister just happened to walk on me in the shower...' etc..etc.. gets a bit droll..
Doesn't float my boat, but hey ho, it floats a lot of others...
The answer I think to your last question is read... then read some more...
If you enjoy a story then read more of that author and chat...
Some will grab you from the 2nd paragraph in, others you just can't force yourself to read the 3rd...
Spread the net far and wide.
I have found some really great stories in genres I wouldn't have normally read.
What makes them great stories? look at how they are written...
How did those subtle words invoke that emotion / turn you on?
There can be some great 88% graded stories out there that are locked in genres, such as 'Trans penguins' previously suggested..
Or maybe you can be the first to write that incest / billy goat story we all dream of... (sorry, maybe not such an in joke..)
      Good luck!

Hey, I took you at your word and had a look at your story with the idea that I could provide some quick notes on how to tighten it up in terms of flow and grammar. My 'quick notes' got out of hand so I published them as an essay on the main site. I imagine it'll be up in the next couple of days.

I feel like a lot of what's happening with the ratings is just an artefact of the system. As long as a story can only be found by people actively clicking into the trans penguin fetish tab, it will only be read by trans penguin fetishists and is hence likely to get upvoted if it's a good example of the genre. The second it hits the top stories, it'll suddenly get a lot of people clicking in and thinking, 'wtf?! trans penguins! *downvote*' The end result is that if you're doing something that doesn't fit easily into a niche you're gonna have issues, not because of any grand conspiracy, but just because of the emergent properties of the site.

For what it's worth, I've got no issue with incest stories, and I quite like a bit of Daddy/Daughter. Some genre has to be the top of the pile, it just sucks that other stuff suffers from the lack of a clever way to ensure good writing catering to every kink gets recognised.

_lx_ - I think that this response has been really helpful. I've read probably too much than what's considered healthy here but I've never really spoken/talked about it with either the author.. Or anyone for the matter. That's something I have to keep in mind when exploring the "Trans penguins" genres that it's niche and not to take the ratings too close to the vest.

That connects with the person above you but I can't see their name.. 88% rating stories in certain "touchier" subjects are phenomenal stories, they just happened to have the "trans penguins effect". Those stories are mine are low to mid 80s at best and those are what I want to improve upon. So I believe my next step is to read more and see if I can find some of those arthur's here so I can talk about it with them. Silly to say that sounds both thrilling and scary, doesn't it

Hi all, just wondering being new here, I sent a story through on saturday night and was wondering how long it takes to be approved (I know it says 48 hours) but was wondering if you get notified if it was rejected for any reason.

    Thanks

Nothing gets published on the weekend, so it is in the queue... I believe there was a backlog last week, because of the rush to get the last of the Valentine's competition (have a read of mine & vote as you see fit - hint hint....) entries in but that could be cleared by now... so possibly today or tomorrow, normally about 2 days, 3 at the worst.

    Hello Authors.

What Happens When a Chapter Does Not Warrent Sex?

When sharing a multi chapter story, how well are chapters with little or no sex generally received? Does this turn readership against an author? In telling a bigger tale, sometimes a breather needs to occur in the sex in order to build and/or move the story along.

Just looking for thoughts, insights, opinions, And experiences.

    Hey JTrevor,

Some authors add a blurb at the beginning of the story to preset the reader's expectations. If they are only looking for stroke-off material, they can quickly go elsewhere. However, if you were to add the background info to a longer story, I think an author can get away with it, as long as there is enough subtle sexual context to keep the reader aroused until the action starts - and I would definitely include some sex scenes, even if it makes the story longer. I mean, this is an erotic story site. Or maybe break up the details with a couple of flashbacks?

As for what readers like? I've heard goats are very popular.

Thank you UU! All good points. Even though some of the chapters dont have a full blown, lets get naked, sex scene, generally I like to keep some form of sexual theme flowimg, maybe its some dirty sexting, or a nice sexy discussions about what they like when engaged in sex, etc.

      Goats, huh? LOL

If you want appreciation for more well-developed stories, something other than a quick lizard milking, you might want to look into literotica.com. They use a 5-star grading system rather than the xnxx binary fuck-yes/shit-no system, but in my experience, it all works out the same after you get enough feedback. There's no accounting for taste.

I can't help but wonder how many negative votes come from other authors who can't stand seeing someone else's story with a 100% rating.

That's it. ANY mention of an early age will do it. It's a program that scans text for certain words, ages, etc, not people reading each one who could make a judgement call. Remove the age or work around it with other words and you should be ok. It's tricky with stories where people have kids who aren't involved in the sex. I've had the same issue.

Okay than, but it does seem strange, some of the stories I've read cut things a lot closer and definitly give the impression of underage.

It's pretty crazy. I recently published a story where the main character recalls playing doctor as a young child. The narrative clearly states they were too young for pubic hair. As the author, I consider it innocent playing around and not sex per se. But from this thread, it sounds like I just got lucky with the auto checker.

Hey all - I somehow published a story and failed to list the appropriate themes, so the story shows up nowhere except the main page. How would I set or correct the themes on a story that's already published?

On the My stories page, I see an Edit link for each story. But when I click it, I get a Forbidden error.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, you should be able to edit your story - Log in and go to `my stories' and you can edit your story from there - it will go back through the publishing route and will re-appear later.

Thanks. It's baffling. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong. I'm logged in. I click My stories. I see both my published stories. On the right are links to view and edit for both of them. View works fine. But if I try to edit either story by clicking Edit, It takes me to a page that reads as follows:
