I was looking for story category dealing with swinging or hotwife, I saw the category Cuckold, and that is close but not really the same. I ask because the wife was checking out the story last night and wondered if what she has been doing is all that unusual and she thought maybe we shouldn't be sharing her adventures if people are going to think she is some sort of perverted cheater. I assured her that I didn't think it was all that unusual, certainly not in the 21st century but now I wonder. So, i told her I would reach out to the other writers on here and ask.

So, is this the sort of stuff we should be sharing???

 

Crazy. I finally fixed the themes issue with my Emma story. After an initial spike in both views and ratings, I got a couple negatives, and that's all it took to plunge the ratings. Eh, it's still over 90%, so I won't get my tighty whities in a wad. Moving on with my next work.

 

I feel your pain. One or two early negatives can kill a good story. A lot of people don't delve past the first page. Hope your story recovers, but it takes time.

 

I too have experienced similar experiences with my story. We are all different and inevitably we at times challenge some people's views on life and instead of accepting something different their reactions are to vote negative. For the most part I do not think it is a reflection on the quality of the writing but yes it hurts.

 

i agree with housewife, I read it and I thought it was well written, although not my sort of thing, but the writing deserves to be recognized. I know for my first story I made the mistake of putting the ending in a separate chapter and without much sex it sort of bombed. But as one of the more experienced writers on here told me, keep writing for yourself, you will get better and if nothing else you will like it!

@strywriter I will tell you what I have told others in the past. Sequels are a tricky thing. Not every story needs or deserves one. In order for a sequel the reader must be invested in the main character/characters. A plain sex story will not cut it. It has to be a story that has sex in it.

That's the general rule from my perspective.

 

Can anyone help: I posted my next story lyesterday but its stuck in Edit mode and I cant open it or delete it. when i click on the edit button i just get forbidden. It doesnt have the view option of my other stories?

Would it be appropriate to post a poll question here in regards to writer vs reader preferences?
I see women write from the male perspective, but not many makes who write from the female perspective. Do readers order one gender or thre other?

 

I don't think there's a problem with a poll. One reason it's difficult to tell is that not everyone posts AS the gender they really are.

 

Hello, Mrs. strywriter here, and although I like stories that are from the female perspective I also like the opposite! I think guys think, act and write dirtier than women do and sometimes I am in the mood for smutty, dirty sex; other times for soft, passionate sex.

 

I’m new here, still trying to figure out how to get the permissions I need in order to post …. Almost anything lol. Apparently, I need to make 6 posts in a subgroup, sub thread (?).

Years ago I was on the “Experience Project” (EP), I had a handful of stories posted there, I’m hopping to be able to repost them.

Advice Needed
I tried to post my first story yesterday (5/10/21). I knew that it would not be published immediately, that it has to go through the check out process. I did expect to see it in the "My Files" list, but it is not there, it seems to have vanished. The last time I saw it, I hit the "save" button. I had a couple of errors, one was something about a token, the second said my synopsis was to long. I edited the synopsis, on the second try the error was gone and so was the Token error. They were replaced with "Name already used." I was trying to get to the edit screen when the story vanished. Its not that big of a deal, I have it saved, I just don't know if the is "normal" or if I need to repost. Its my first story, I don't know what "normal" looks like on here yet.
I'm leaning towards reposting but I don't want to get slammed for "spamming the forum" with the same story....
I'm VERY open to suggestions
