Two Trump employees to testify before grand jury amid 'criminal probe into former president's business affairs'

Two Trump organization employees are set to testify before a Manhattan grand jury, The Wall Street Journal reported Wednesday.

Trump organization Director of Security Matthew Calamari, Jr. and Jeffrey McConney, a "senior finance official" are expected to testify. Calamari is the son of the Trump Organization chief operating officer.

McConney reportedly prepared the personal tax returns of Matthew Calamari, Sr.

"Mr. Calamari Jr.'s testimony before the grand jury would grant him immunity on the subjects about which he testifies and signals prosecutors don't plan to indict him," the newspaper reported. "Prosecutors continue to investigate whether the elder Mr. Calamari received tax-free fringe benefits and to determine whether his cooperation would be helpful to them, according to people familiar with the matter."

See, yet again, you need to shut up and let people think you're an idiot, instead of opening your mouth and proving it to the entire forum.

So, genius, what, exactly, was Donald Trump convicted of in connection with his charity?
Or for that matter, anything else criminal?

You do understand the difference between civil and criminal law, right?

Listen, knucklehead, you are the one who claimed Trump is guilty.
Guilty is a term used in CRIMINAL trials.

Trump was not charged with any criminal act in the legal actions over his charity.
      Everything was civil.
      No criminal charges.

So, yeah, Shooter ignores spew about civil stuff when the issue raised is guilt.

You will find any means to prosecute trump. You know he has not been charged or convicted in any criminal matter but you choose to attack him with claims that he is guilty.

Right? When you spewed about trump being guilty, you knew it wasn't true, and you know the difference between criminal and civil proceedings, right?

Either you hate trump so much you'll even push lies and propaganda about him, or you are too stupid to even know the difference between civil and criminal proceedings.

      Which is it?

Apparently it is not just Trump's tax returns!

Imagine how quickly the deficit in the US would disappear if the treasury actually collected $160 billion a year from that too 1%?

    $160 BILLION?!?!?
You know the deficit before biden/harris was running $1 TRILLION a year.
Under biden/harris in 2021 it could run well over $11 TRILLION. In one year.
    One year.
That puts the debt up to $39 TRILLION by the time biden/harris finish out 2021.

    $160 BILLION??!?!?!

I can see this has become your new compulsive focus and it will be as effective as your previous attempts at passive aggressive Trump support. I understand why you never defended Trump, but it's silly to think trying to shame people who were proven right as events played out helps Trump or any other neocon issue.

It will be a long time before the Trump Presidency drops from common psyche, in the way Milard Filmore is a vague memory. Maybe a generation or two. By that time, Make America great again" will be seen in a similar light as "On to Little Big Horn and glory".

Well its interesting you call this Shooter's compulsive focus, when the only time Shooter bothers with it is when some despicable posts some meaningless thing about trump, or what trump supposedly did in 2017, or what coulda woulda shoulda happened if only trump .............

Seems to shooter its despicables who have the compulsive thingy about trump.

      Note to despicables;
Trump is no longer in office. Trump has not been in office for over 8 months. Trump has almost no relevance to events happening now.
biden/harris is in office. biden/harris has been in office for over 8 months. biden/harris is relevant to events happening now.

I'll logically assume that you could file a 1040EZ, if you file at all.

I will also suspect logically, that the only thing on the Trump tax returns that you would recognize would be Trumps signature.

Therefore, seeing the tax returns from any POTUS is null and void, they dont create policy, domestically or abroad, they dont create tax code, they dont create anything other than incentive for the people of this Nation, enforce the law, enable the security of this Nation.

It's nothing but pure jealousy and hatred for the wealthy that you possess, which should require you to seek professional mental health advise.

Because Trump's tax returns are none of your business nor mine.

    Ah.
    So, once again;
The IRS has, and has had, all of Donald Trump's tax returns since they were filed, even going back over 50 years.
Because of his wealth, he's been audited every year for many years.
The IRS has not once charged Trump with any crimes or violations that we know of.
Now, don't you think, if there was something in those returns worthy of criminal charges, trump would have been charged by now?

Shooters point is, if trump is guilty of some criminal thingy, charge his ass and lets get it resolved.
No one needs to hear anymore butt hurt despicable excuses why all they can do is bloviate about trump but never get anything resolved to their satisfaction.

Cause we already know the answer; if you stop bloviating about Trump, you're left bloviating about biden/harris.
    And that way lies monsters.

Judge denies Trump’s attempt to get out of E. Jean Carroll's defamation lawsuit

Former President Donald Trump's attempts to get out of a lawsuit by former columnist E. Jean Carroll were denied Tuesday, according to court filings.

Attorney General Merrick Garland agreed to defend Trump in court because he was president when he allegedly defamed Carroll by saying that he couldn't have raped her decades ago because "She's not my type."

Carroll has asked that Trump provide a DNA sample, saying that she has his DNA on the clothing she wore when he allegedly raped her.

Last October, former Attorney General Bill Barr was serving as Trump's lawyer, saying that Trump was acting in his official capacity as president of the United States when he said Carroll wasn't attractive enough to rape. The federal judge, in that case, rejected it.

The Justice Department then filed a brief claiming that they had to protect the "institutional interest of the federal government." They then attempted to stay all proceedings in the case.

    That motion was denied today.

    Adam Klasfeld
    @KlasfeldReports

Trump's request to stay all proceedings in @EJeanCarroll's lawsuit has been DENIED by a federal judge, without comment, in a minute entry. This follows AG Garland's DOJ requesting substitution on behalf of Trump. Eric Trump melts down on Fox News because he's getting 'subpoena after subpoena after subpoena'

    David Edwards
    September 19, 2021

Eric Trump complained on Sunday that the Trump Organization and the Trump family is facing an onslaught of investigations and that they are forced to respond to subpoenas "every single day."

The former president's son made the remarks during an interview on Fox News with host Maria Bartiromo.

"The problem with the Democrats is they dig so deep that they always find themselves," Trump said. "And the reason I'm frustrated about this is every single day since my father ran for president, my father and our entire family and our company has been under investigation. Every single day, Maria, we get subpoena after subpoena after subpoena."

"But, I mean, they weaponized the entire system in this country," he added. "They've weaponized the DOJ. They've weaponized our military. They weaponized the educational system in this country. They've weaponized the medical system in this country. The Democrats weaponize absolutely everything they can to use again their political opponents."

'Strong reason to believe' more indictments could be coming Trump Org CFO Weisselberg's attorney tells judge

The attorney for indicted Trump Organization president and chief financial officer, Allen Weisselberg, told a judge Monday he believes more indictments are coming down the pipe. “We have strong reason to believe there could be other indictments coming," Bryan Skarlatos, attorney for Weisselberg, told a New York State Supreme Court judge, according to CNN's Jim Sciutto. Sciutto says Skarlatos told the judge "he expects more people to be charged in criminal probe." Journalist Andrea Bernstein adds the attorney also said: "We are shooting at a moving target." Weisselberg is appearing before the judge on charges related to an alleged 15-year scheme to defraud taxpayers.

More than 3 million new docs found in co-conspirator's basement by Trump tax fraud investigators: report

An attorney for Allen Weisselberg, the chief financial officer of the Trump Organization, said in court Monday that he believes more indictments are coming in the case.

"We have strong reason to believe there could be other indictments coming," attorney Bryan Skarlatos said at a pre-trial hearing in New York State Supreme Court, according to a report from CNN.

Asked about the pending indictments, CNN's Kara Scannell said: "There was no further elaboration on that point, and we don't know exactly who could be charged or how many people."

Scannell added that Skarlatos asked the judge for more time to deal with discovery in the case, as he receives more evidence from prosecutors.

"He said he just received today a manilla envelope that he held up in court with a bulge in it," Scannell reported. "And he said within that, he was told there were 3 million documents. He said these documents were found in a co-conspirator's basement, and they were tax documents. So certainly a lot more information getting transferred from prosecutors to the defense."

The Justice Department has a long standing policy about white collar crime. It encourages cooperation. If a defendant is honest(after the fact) and produces all the relevant documents, they will get a better deal. However, if you made money off the fraud, you will spend time in prison. It might be 3 months or 3 years, but jail time is inevitable.

People disagree with the IRS all the time. Ask Willy Nelson. The IRS says, "That's not a legal deduction," and you owe more money. Pay up in a timely manner and it's all cool. The IRS understands that people make mistakes when reading the tax code, but if you're keeping two sets of books, that's not an honest mistake.

Trump had a tax cheating scheme which benefited his employees. Does anybody believe Trump wasn't also making money off the scam?

Which is the reason treasonous conservative/Republicans in Congress are fighting tooth and nail to keep President Biden and the Democrats from increasing funding to the IRS to investigate white collar tax fraud. God forbid the IRS make their rich friends actually pay their taxes.

And that is something I really want to see happen because they could collect a trillion dollars. And I know from personal experience they could do it. Back when Reagan was president he sicced the IRS on just average Americans. Me included because we had an accountant that made the same mistake for several yeas in a row. They hauled us in on an audit and determined we owed several thousand dollars. And I soon found the IRS to be the most ruthless and efficient bill collectors on earth.
