There are lots of videos of Rev Warnock, who just won a Senate seat, being arrested, handcuffed, and taken to jail for praying along with other minsters in the Capitol rotunda to save the ACA.

But the real glaring hypocrisy are the multiple videos of disabled people being arrested and one way or the other handcuffed for protesting against trying to kill the ACA in the Capitol. Literally they were handcuffing them to their wheelchairs and hauling them off to jail. Compare that to the videos of the Capitol police assisting domestic terrorists out of the Capitol and down the stairs and removing barriers for them.

I don't know exactly how many Antifa were there, partly because the Proud Boys put out an announcment for their followers to dress like Antifa, probably for this very reason. So they could use Antifa as a scapegoat.

Since police officers are also human beings, subject to the same foibles as every other human, they are capable of making the same mistakes. Training should negate those shortcomings but obviously it does not always.

So, by your statement “Apparently the reason there were not more police enforcing the law is they were breaking the law!”, you mean that all policemen were breaking the law.

Which is probably true at one point or another in their lives, but far from true at the Capitol on Wednesday last.

 

Did the Seattle PD discipline them? Think part of the story is missing. From what you stated they have done nothing wrong, if the city or PD did anything, yes sue their pants off.

 

So far all the PD did was suspend them pending investigation.
Here's the thing. Even if the department ends up not doing anything, it will still show in their file that they were suspended pending an investigation. A black mark of sorts. And yes, it is taken into account (the suspension, not the outcome) when promotions are being considered.

Of greater import for Shooter is that the suspension took place based ONLY on the fact that the officers were there. Their statement that they did not enter the capitol, did not do anything illegal, carried no weight at all. It was enough that they were there, exercising their legal rights.
