I presume, that in order not to have a short-lived thread, that we are entitled to more than one entry. Afterr classic, Southern tinged rock, I just love the fuck out of Jazz - from Bebop, Charlie Parker (a fucking GOD) and Dizzy Gillespie through Miles (a Favorite), Coltrane and on to the 'Cool Jazz' that started up around the 70s. One of the very best of this genre was Tom Scott and the L.A. Express (The Crusaders were also awesome)

When it comes to music, I don’t believe in genres. I listen to anything that sounds good from all across the spectrum: Electronic, Ambient, IDM, Hip Hop/Rap, Rock, Rap Rock, Jazz, Nu Jazz, Instrumental, Trip hop, Drum and Bass, Garage, Blues, Heavy Metal, Ska, Grunge, Dubstep, House, Emo, Emo Rap, Trap, Alternative, Video Game Music, Movie Scores, etc.

 

I believe in genres, but I believe that the real musician mind vibes with anything!! Your taste is exactly my taste!

 

If it sounds good to me I listen...all depends on my mood ....

I love the blues, because it was the gateway for Rock and Roll. I love Jazz music, the big bands of the 40’s and even music from the 20’s. I have a wide variety of tastes, but I can’t stand Country music

I liked my techno, dance, pop, and even Classical - especially Apocalyptica covers.
There isn't anything I can't really get in to - my playlists are usually all over the place.

 

That is a valid point! I also feel like real musicians don’t limit themselves to one specific genre, they constantly press the boundaries of what new music they can produce. Really? You have some great taste then!

 

I love old prog rock, Pink Floyd, Yes, Genesis and that kind of stuff, but I also enjoy metal (unless is glam, which I don't like), indie, folk, blues, jazz and classical too.

 

I love classic rock the best, but I also love the 70’s and 80’s station on my Sat radio.

Ive always loved old school punk. I had a poster of sid vicious on my wall in the second grade. But as i get older i find myself just diging all kinds of stuff. But it just seems like within the last 5 years music has lost its soul.
I know thats what all old ppl say but its true. Talent has been replaced by looks and a fake persona. Thank god for artist like 69. J.K.
