Black college students across the country have demanded that they be segregated from white peers, calling for “safe spaces” on campuses meant only for so-called students of color.

The requests for segregated spaces are found among some of the demand lists put forth by students who took part in protests this fall alleging their campuses are oppressive, discriminatory, and represent institutionalized racism.

The demands have been presented to campus administrators and are chronicled by TheDemands.org, a website run by a racial advocacy group called the Black Liberation Collective.

Not all of the 76 demand lists, each from a different university, seek segregated spaces — but several do.

At UCLA, the Afrikan Student Union is insisting upon an “Afrikan Diaspora floor” as well as an “Afro-house.”

A South Carolina man this week was caught on camera going on a racist tirade in a grocery store after an employee refused to sell him alcohol.

Local news station WBTV reports that 27-year-old John Walter Miles allegedly became upset while shopping with his girlfriend last week because the store clerk would not sell him booze.

He then called the employee a racial slur, at which point a bystander took out their phone and started recording his behavior.

It was at this point that Miles's girlfriend tried to get him to leave the store as he continued his racist tirade.

"Guess what -- all lives f*cking matter, Black lives don't f*cking matter!" he said.

When Miles saw he was being recorded, he looked directly into the camera and doubled down on his statements.

"'Black Lives Matter' is the most racist thing we've ever f*cking seen!" he shouted.

After reviewing footage of Miles's public meltdown, the Sumter Police Department arrested him and charged him with aggravated breach of peace and trespassing.

Police in Ohio have arrested a man who was captured in a now viral video delivering a racist and threatening diatribe against Black motorist working for Door Dash as her two-year-old daughter was in the car with her. James Rhodes of Stow, Ohio has been charged with aggravated menacing and ethnic intimidation, David Begnaud of CBS News reports.

The incident happened on April 17 at an apartment complex in Stow. Rhodes told the motorist he had an AK-47 in his car and that he’d “blow [her] f***ing head off.”

During a separate exchange with Rhodes, onlookers can be heard telling him to stop saying racist things. In response, he throws up his hands and asks, “What are they, gonna come arrest me?”

The incident allegedly began when the Door Dash driver, who was behind Rhodes at a stop sign, drove around his car because it had been idling at the sign for a time.

In a video taken by the victim, Rhodes is seen getting out of his car and goes into an racist, expletive-laden rant.

“Hey, get the f*** out of here,” yells Rhodes. “Get the f*** out of here. I pay a thousand dollars a month here. You make a thousand dollars in two months. F*** you.”


“How do you know that?” asks the driver.


Rhodes gives her the middle finger and replies, “You’re a dumb Black f***ing n***** bitch. F*** you!”


The motorist calmly asks him his name.


“Yeah,” says Rhodes. “And I’m racist, and I’m a racist motherf*****. I got an AK-47 right now in my f***ing goddamn car. I’ll blow your f***ing head off. I’m f***ing tired of you n*****s. I’m tired of you n*****s.”


Incredibly, the Door Dash worker lets out a laugh and casually drives away.

CBS’ Begnaud reports that Wyndham Ridge Apartments, where Rhodes lives, has initiated the process of evicting him.

Kamala Harris: ‘I Don’t Think America is a Racist Country’ BUT…

Vice President Kamala Harris said “I don’t think America is a racist country,” but addressed racism in both U.S. history and today, as well as the threat of white supremacist terrorism.

On Thursday morning’s edition of Good Morning America, host George Stephanopoulos asked the VP to respond to part of Senator Tim Scott’s rebuttal to President Joe Biden’s address before Congress, during which Scott declared that “America is not a racist country.”

“Senator Tim Scott said last night that America is not a racist country,” Stephanopoulos said, and asked “Do you agree with that, and what do you make of his warning against fighting discrimination with more discrimination?”

“I believe that we need to come up, well first of all, no I don’t think America is a racist country,” Harris said. “But we also do have to speak truth about the history of racism in our country, and it’s existence today.”

The veep went on to praise President Biden for “always having the ability and the courage, frankly, to speak the truth about it. He spoke what we know from the intelligence community, one of the greatest threats to our national security is domestic terrorism manifested by white supremacists.”


“And so these are issues that we must confront, and it does not help to heal our country, to unify us as a people, to ignore the realities of that,” Harris continued. “And I think the president has been outstanding, and a real national leader on the issue of saying let’s confront the realities, and let’s deal with it, knowing we all have so much more in common than what separates us, and the idea is that we want to unify the country, but not without speaking truth and requiring accountability as appropriate.”

During his speech, President Biden did not say America is a racist country, but did say that his policies offer a chance to root out systemic racism that plagues America and American lives” in the criminal justice system and elsewhere.

Berkeley Woman Arrested for Hate Crime After Harassing Black Delivery Driver: Cops

A California woman has been arrested for a hate crime after she was caught on video harassing a Black delivery man, according to local reports and the Berkeley Police Department. Julie Warland, 35, accused Kendall McIntosh of speeding, and then followed him to a nearby street with her boyfriend, cops said. They allegedly attempted to block McIntosh’s car doors so he couldn’t leave his vehicle, and Warland even jumped in his car to grab his steering wheel to prevent him from driving away. “That’s when the harassing started happening. I was just trying to do my job and she wouldn’t allow me to, she closed both double doors in the van I was trying to leave out of,” McIntosh told the outlet.

Even after he got out of his car, Warland continued to yell racial slurs at him, he said. “Very derogatory language, you know I was getting constant F bombs thrown at me. I was getting just racially profiled from the jump,” McIntosh said. He added that he’s grateful that someone nearby stopped to record the incident. “If you feel like you have to videotape it or anything, definitely do that because I felt like if there wasn’t a video. It wasn’t being recorded, she probably could’ve gotten away with saying this,” McIntosh said. Warland was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, battery, using offensive words, and willfully threatening a person based on their perceived characteristics.

An angry white man was caught on video attacking Black Lives Matter protesters in Texas over the weekend.

The incident was said to have occurred in Frisco, Texas after demonstrators stopped traffic while protesting the death of Marvin Scott III. The Collin County medical examiner recently said that Scott's death was a homicide that occurred "during restraint struggle with law enforcement."

Video shared online shows the white man yelling at protesters in the street before he approaches a Plano police officer and demands action.

"Get these fucking people out of the way!" the man shouts at the officer before turning to take a swing at a protester.

The man can then be seen putting his hand on a legal observer while threatening to punch him.

The officer on the scene then asks the man to leave.

"Get them out of here!" the angry man demands before being allowed to walk away.

Organizers called for answers from the Plano Police Department.

"The officer witnessed this man's aggression, saw him smack a protestor's phone/hand, saw him shove another (Lee Merritt in red shirt), and is confronting him while man is cocked and ready to throw yet another punch," one of the organizers explained on Twitter. "Notice how many times the officer's hands go near his taser or weapon.........zero. This man towered over the officer. Why wasn't he ever afraid? Why didn't he immediately feel the need to control him?"

U.S. Supreme Court skeptical of expanding crack cocaine reforms

U.S. Supreme Court justices on Tuesday seemed skeptical that low-level crack cocaine offenders can benefit under a 2018 federal law that reduced certain prison sentences in part to address racial disparities detrimental to Black defendants.

The nine justices heard their final arguments of the court's nine-month term that began last October in a case involving a Florida man named Tarahrick Terry that tests the scope of the First Step Act signed into law by former President Donald Trump.

The provision in question made retroactive a 2010 law called the Fair Sentencing Act that reduced a disparity that made sentencing for crack cocaine crimes more severe than for powder cocaine crimes.

Black defendants were far more likely to face crack cocaine charges than white defendants, who were more apt to face powder cocaine charges. Terry, scheduled to be released from prison in September, is Black.

The Supreme Court's eventual ruling, due by the end of June, will affect potentially hundreds of inmates in the same position as Terry, Justice Department lawyer Eric Feigin told the justices.

Those convicted of higher-level crack offenses are already covered under the First Step Act. As of the end of last year, more than 2,500 people had been released from prison under that law, according to the Bureau of Prisons. Thousands more inmates have been released from prison as a result of other First Step Act provisions.

Of those resentenced under the crack cocaine provision of the First Step Act, 91 percent were Black, according to the Sentencing Project, a group that advocates for sentencing reform.
