A neighborhood squabble went nuts when a New Jersey racist attacked his neighbor, challenging him, "come see me" to discuss. Then all hell broke loose on Sunday.

The Philadelphia Inquirer reported Monday that as many as 150 people showed up outside Edward Cagney Mathews's home yelling at him until police ultimately arrived.

Matthews was captured on video previously threatening his neighbor and the video quickly went viral.

"Learn your law. It's not Africa," Mathews says in the video, telling a man he isn't allowed to stand there.

"I was born in America, sir," the man replied.

Matthews taunted "come see me," and that's when the community fought back.

"We want Edward!" the protesters chanted, blocked by a line of police officers.

Police ultimately took him away to face "fourth-degree charge of bias, intimidation and trespassing" charges.

"Neighbors blamed Mathews for problems that began about two years ago, said Ashleigh Gibbons, 35, who has lived in the condo development for about 20 years," said the report, saying that he had been harassing her ever since.

Matthews attempted to apologize on Monday, but as the report explained, the damage was already done.

"I certainly wasn't expecting an encounter like that and certainly wasn't expecting to disrespect anybody," Mathews told The Inquirer in an interview. "Let me be clear: That is no excuse for what I said, but I lost my temper."

He said that his racist slurs weren't meant to be racist, "Anybody that knows me know that I just talk like this."

So, here's the story. This group was at a private pool, and cranked up their music. An employee rudely disconnected the speaker, without so much as a "fuck you" for anyone in the group and tried to make off with the speaker. Well, one thing led to another and the cops got involved and in the end the group was escorted off the premises.

Now, this is news because the group was made up of Hispanic ladies and kids, and they were playing music with Hispanic lyrics. Sung in Spanish.

The report doesn't offer an opinion about whether the music was pleasant, or too loud, or what; just that it was music with Spanish lyrics played by Hispanic women and children.

So the activists make the following points when they did their demonstration thingy;

• “She’s had music in English
• But we had music in Spanish,”
  
• “She came with a bad attitude and disconnected our speaker and tried to take it with her.”
  
• The incident occurred after white women at the pool complained about the Spanish music,
  
• When staff tried to take the speaker without communicating, Ramirez, Perez and others were upset and sought an explanation
  
• “It hurts me to see the inequality and racism,”
  
• “The women behind me said ‘No more.’ They said ‘We will speak up, and we will speak up in our native language.’”
  
• when law enforcement officers initially arrived on scene they spoke English, and the kids stepped in to translate.
  
• An officer then spoke to the women in Spanish.
  
• there needs to be legal protections to prevent children from having to act as translators.
• “Any time a police officer is called, it has a legal implication,”
• Diez added that the situation can cause lasting emotional trauma for the children, when their translations are used as the basis for police reports and legal proceedings.
• “Those children are turned into tools of oppression for their own families,”
• “They wouldn’t allow it for any other children, so why is it the case with immigrant children, or non-English speaking children.”
• “How can we expect a 17-year-old girl — often times a 6-year-old, an 8-year-old — how can we expect them to fully and accurately interpret the situation on both sides?”

Just a couple of observations that might have avoided the problem;
1) Keep the music low in public; others might not share your taste in music. If others can hear it, it's too loud.
2) When spoken to in English, and you speak English, respond in kind.

 

Shocking brawl erupts on Frontier Airlines flight – and passengers say it was sparked by racism

Video taken by a passenger on a plane at Miami Airport shows a brawl break out between passengers during an argument over luggage that a witness says turned racial, Local 10 reports.

According to Kiera Pierre Louis, who witnessed the incident and recorded it on her cellphone, one passenger became upset when another was taking too long to retrieve luggage from a compartment. That's when the first passenger used a racial slur against the second passenger and then punched him.

"You can see the white man on top of the Black passenger just beating him between the seats. The flight attendant got involved. The white man's wife got involved. His son, I believe, and his son's girlfriend — everyone was just involved," she said.

After several people eventually broke up the fight, Pierre Louis said the first passenger, who she claims started the fight, was allowed to leave the plane, while the Black man was told to stay behind.

"The Black passenger had to wait on the plane, when he didn't even start it, and the police, while we were walking off the plane, walked right past the person, the white man who actually initiated everything," she said. But according to Miami Dade Police, the Black passenger was not held back, but chose to stay behind so he could file a police report.

An Alabama city councilman referred to a fellow city council member as a “house n----r” at a meeting on Monday evening. Tarrant, Alabama city councilman Tommy Bryant loudly asked, “Do we have a house n----r in here? Do we? Do we? Will she please stand up.” Bryant made the remark in apparent reference to fellow city council member Veronica Freeman, who is Black. During the city council meeting, an audience member confronted Bryant about his wife reportedly using the n-word on Facebook, prompting Bryant’s remark. Tarrant has seen racial tension ignite in the power struggle between the Black mayor, Wayman Newton, and the white ex-police chief, Dennis Reno. As for Bryant’s use of the racial slur, Newton said simply, “The video speaks for itself.” The Alabama Democratic Party has called Bryant “a racist unfit to serve” and demanded he resign.

A white woman waving a Donald Trump flag drove her car onto the mall of the Minnesota Capitol on Monday.

Theo Keith, a political reporter at KMSP-TV/FOX 9 Minneapolis-St. Paul, reported on Twitter: "Wild scene at the Minnesota State Capitol as a woman drives her vehicle onto the south mall, waiving a Trump flag. The incident disrupted state Rep. John Thompson and his supporters, who are holding a news conference at the Capitol. Now the woman has fled across the Capitol's south lawn before being stopped on MLK Blvd by police in unmarked squads."








The incident could be seen in a live stream from the news conference.

When the woman drives up into a restricted area on a sidewalk in her Chevy SUV, attendees at the news conference confront her at the bottom of the Capitol steps, according to the video. After one of the attendees tries to take the woman's Trump flag, she begins to honk the horn. When a police officer arrives, the attendees tell him, "Please get her out of here. I'm afraid for my life."

Instead of arresting the woman, the police appear to allow her to leave. She drives off before swerving through the Capitol lawn. Finally, police pull her over on a nearby street.

"I didn't know you could drive onto the Capitol steps, do a couple of donuts, and then leave," the narrator says in the video.

The video shows the woman pulled over, with unmarked police cars blocking her in, and officers talking to her.

A Black man asks one of the officers why she hasn't been arrested.

"What she did to us over there was extremely dangerous," the Black man says. "She could have ran us over. If she was anything other than a blond-haired white woman, she wouldn't be having that conversation right now. She is dangerous."

The officer responds by saying they've requested a mental health unit.

The person recording the video then returns to the press conference for several minutes, before coming back to where the woman is pulled over. The woman is still in her car, apparently talking to a mental health worker. She can be seen smoking a cigarette and holding a Bible.

"If she has mental health issues, which she probably does, this same treatment needs to be spread across the board for everybody, no matter their race or color," one Black bystander says. "They come at the car with us with guns drawn, ready for whatever, not ready to talk and listen like they did for her."

More than an hour after the initial incident, police finally helped the woman out of her car, without handcuffs, and into the back of an unmarked police car. "White privilege!" one bystander can be heard yelling.

Black cop claims career derailed after 'racist' colleagues grew suspicious of his love for rap music

A Black police officer's promising career was allegedly derailed when racist colleagues became suspicious of his love for rap music and ability to interact in the community he served.

Brandon Hanks became arguably the best-known police officer in Syracuse, New York, after video of his one-on-one basketball games with youngsters went viral and earned him an honor from city officials, but he was passed over for a coveted promotion after white colleagues accused him of being a "gang member," reported the Washington Post.

"It's a clear, clear, clear-cut example of racism and discrimination," Hanks told the newspaper. "This is what's been going on, and this needs to stop."

The 28-year-old officer is filing a $3 million federal lawsuit Monday accusing his white colleagues, the city and police department of "blatant and extreme racism" and creating a "Jim Crow culture" after other officers tanked his promotion to a coveted spot on the department's gang violence task force.

"White colleagues accused him of being a 'gang member' and 'narcotics trafficker' who has 'known associations with gang members and convicted criminals,' according to a new federal lawsuit," the Post reported. "Hanks's colleagues also did not like that he listened to rap music, using the profanity in the songs and a tattoo of a 2Pac track he has on his left arm, 'Only God Can Judge Me,' as a mark against him."

The lawsuit is the latest in a string of complaints filed by former or current Black officers in several states, and Hanks' attorney said this case was intended to send a message to officers who felt "beaten" down by racism in their own departments.

"This is the case that every civil rights attorney across the country has been waiting for," said attorney Jesse Ryder. "This is the case where we can show the country, and show the world, that there is a better way of policing these communities."

Mayor Ben Walsh and 12 of the 13 officers named in the complaint did not respond to requests for comment, but Chief Kenton Buckner, who is also Black, said Hanks' allegations "painted an inaccurate picture" of the department and said the promotion was still available to him.

"I am confident that when all the facts are presented, it will show that the Syracuse Police Department does not maintain a racially hostile work environment and does not otherwise engage in racist employment practices," Buckner said. "I would never tolerate any such practices, and to the contrary, in my seven years as Chief I have taken many steps to create additional opportunities for Black officers, including Officer Hanks."

Shooters view was that he knew the "river rats" before he was a cop and didnt care that the river rats took exception to shooter's familiarity with the "fucking pigs" either, so everyone needed to calm the fuck down.

 

Treasonous conservative/Republicans have created a fake freak out over Critical Race Theory which is actually a graduate level law school elective class that is not being taught in public schools. But actually it should be. Just think how much further up the economic ladder the decedents of these Black people would be if their ancestors land had not been stolen and mass murdered. The visits began in the fall of 1918, just as World War I ended. At his office in Little Rock, Arkansas, attorney Ulysses S. Bratton listened as African American sharecroppers from the Delta told stories of theft, exploitation, and endless debt. A man named Carter had tended 90 acres of cotton, only to have his landlord seize the entire crop and his possessions. From the town of Ratio, in Phillips County, Arkansas, a black farmer reported that a plantation manager refused to give sharecroppers an itemized account for their crop. Another sharecropper told of a landlord trying “to starve the people into selling the cotton at his own price. They ain’t allowing us down there room to move our feet except to go to the field.”

No one could know it at the time, but within a year these inauspicious meetings would lead to one of the worst episodes of racial violence in U.S. history. Initiated by whites, the violence—by any measure, a massacre—claimed the lives of 237 African Americans, according to a just released report from the Equal Justice Initiative. The death toll was unusually high, but the use of racial violence to subjugate blacks during this time was not uncommon. As the Equal Justice Initiative observes, “Racial terror lynching was a tool used to enforce Jim Crow laws and racial segregation—a tactic for maintaining racial control by victimizing the entire African American community, not merely punishment of an alleged perpetrator for a crime.” This was certainly true of the massacre in Phillips County, Arkansas.

Bratton agreed to represent the cheated sharecroppers, who also joined a new union, the Progressive Farmers and Household Union of America. Its founder, a black Delta native named Robert Hill, had no prior organizing experience but plenty of ambition. “The union wants to know why it is that the laborers cannot control their just earnings which they work for,” Hill announced as he urged black sharecroppers to each recruit 25 prospective members to form a lodge. Hill was especially successful in Phillips County, where seven lodges were established in 1919.

Much like the Native American lawsuits in the 1980s created a great swell in the national awareness of how shamefully the ‘Indians’ were treated and how in case after case the Indigenous plaintiffs won, there is a greater fear that the same thing will happen with reparations.
One way to stop the shame is to keep Americans ignorant, which is easier said than done, unless it’s not legally allowed to teach history

I was born and raised in SW Baltimore City for 46 of my 51 years. I honestly have become more prejudiced against black's from seeing how Baltimore, a once beautiful city of close to one million people in the 1970 census and in less than 50 years black people especially younger ones have turned a Beautiful city over 400+ years turned into a Section 8 welfare ghetto. I have been shot in a carjacking driving home from work, stabbed getting off a MTA bus coming back from a doctor's appointment, had guns pulled on me trying to take what little money, leather jacket. I absolutely refuse to just hand over anything that belongs to me and I had to work hard in order to get. It's not that I value material possessions over my own life. It's the principle of the thing. BTW the last time I was attempted armed robbery by having a semiautomatic gun pointed at me, was last night. I didn't give up my car in the carjacking and I didn't give up my wallet briefcase and phone last night. I would definitely destroy my possessions rather than give them up to some ghetto black dude. If they were in need of food a jacket, ect... you ask me and if I have it and could see that the person was hungry or cold or stranded, I would willingly give that person my jacket or buy them a meal at McDonald's, if they were stranded I would give them bus fare if I had enough to give I would be happy to share what I have. If you try to take anything from me regardless if you point a gun or knife at me I would destroy what you are trying to take from me. Pointing a gun at me to rob me doesn't scare me it pisses me off
If white people or any other race were treating public assistance as a birthright (there are black families with 3, 4 and even 5 generations of the same family that are on welfare with no intentions of looking for a job and get off public assistance

I want my most of my living expenses paid for so I can get a 72" flat screen TV, wear designer clothes $400. sneakers get my hair and nails done 3-4 times per month and best of all go get myself a Cadillac Escalade and eat crabs and shrimp and steaks multiple times per month. I have to travel by public transit shop for clothes and food at Walmart buying growned beef not steaks canned tuna not shrimp and chicken potpie and alot of potatoes not crabs. What white privilege. What ever white privilege I may have had is taken from me in the form of taxes that go to supporting a major part of the black population of Baltimore City that has been turned into a ghetto we even made it in the top ten worst places to live in the country. WTF!!?? What's wrong with this picture?
