Black middle school basketballers pelted with racial slurs at New Jersey game: report

On Thursday, NJ.com reported that at least two members of a girl's basketball team at Lakewood Middle School in New Jersey were pelted with racial slurs by opposing players during a game this week.

"One player was called a 'Black b----' during the third quarter of the game at Russell O. Brackman Middle School while a second was told she was 'homeless' on multiple occasions because she wasn’t wearing basketball sneakers, according to Michael Inzelbuch, an attorney for the Lakewood school district who issued a statement on the incident Thursday morning," reported Jeff Goldman.

“It’s reprehensible,” Inzelbuch said in a phone call with reporters for NJ.com. “The fact that it was players and not fans makes it even worse. As reprehensible as (the racial comment) is, the other comment bothers me equally because a lot of these kids can’t afford certain things.”



Lakewood is the only majority-minority public school system in majority-white Ocean County, and has been the site of tensions for years. In 2019, a report showed that Hispanic and Black student athletes at Lakewood High School were subject to frequent hate speech by opposing players, fans, and even coaches.

Schools all over the country have been forced to respond to similar incidents, including a school in the Houston area where a student put violent lynching threats in a group chat, and a viral video at Prior Lake High School in Minnesota showing a student targeting a 14-year-old classmate with the N-word and telling her to "f**king kill yourself."

Whenever a woman has an abortion she is pregnant with a child she does not want to raise. What will you do with those children? I do not think many people want to adopt them.

Universal health care would reduce the number of infant fatalities, and the number of women who die in childbirth. If the "pro lifers" really were pro life, they would be in favor of universal health care. Most of them are not.

Countries that have socialized medicine manage to pay for it. They have better average health than we do, while spending less per capita on health care than we do. But that is a distraction from me pointing out that it is hypocritical for anti abortion people to call themselves pro life, when they are opposed to universal health care.

 

Abortion and universal health care are two totally unrelated subjects. sheesh.

 

Those who claim to be "pro life" and "pro choice" are equally hypocritical. Those who claim to be "pro life" are hypocritical" for reasons I have already explained. If those who claim to be "pro choice" were consistently pro choice they would oppose gun control laws, and let people choose to own any guns they want to, and to carry them with themselves without betting a permit to do so.

That is why I say that I am pro abortion. I do not care about "a woman's right to choose" (to kill her unborn child). I like the eugenic effects of abortion.

Then they argue on the basis of data I cannot find on the internet, that females most likely to have abortions are also most likely to give birth to boy babies who grow up to become violent street criminals: they are unmarried, marginally employable, and they have low IQ's. Putting these facts together they conclude that since Roe millions of potential muggers, armed robbers, and murders have been killed in the womb. I think that is simply wonderful. In order to cause more abortions I recommend replacing government support for unmarried mothers and their illegitimate children with free abortion on demand at any stage of pregnancy.

My anti life value system extends to my enthusiasm for capital punishment. In their essay "Western Europe, State Formation, and Genetic Pacification" Peter Frost and Henry C. Harpending argue that capital punishment reduced the murder rate in England. Using statistics that are available in England they determine that in England during the twelfth century an English person had a one percent chance of being murdered during his or her life time. He (and they were usually men) also had a one percent chance of being killed at the scene of the crime, dying in custody, or being executed. The few children some of them had rarely lived to adulthood. Frost and Harpending argue that this did not only serve as a deterrent to crime, it removed the percentage of people in the English population with crime gene alleles. Consequently, as the centuries progressed, the murder rate, and the overall crime rate in England declined.

Frost and Harpending only discuss England, where records are available to document their thesis. Nevertheless, the same process was at work elsewhere in Europe, and in the Far East. This explains why whites of European descent and Orientals have lower crime rates than other races.

Tenn. Couple: Christian Agency Nixed Adoption Because We’re Jewish

A Tennessee couple says a Christian adoption agency refused to help them foster a child because they are Jewish, and now they are suing the state in a case that challenges a new law allowing such discrimination. The Tennessean reports that Elizabeth and Gabriel Rutan-Ram’s lawsuit comes weeks after the agency, Holston United Methodist Home for Children, sued the federal government over regulations that prohibit religious discrimination in taxpayer-funded programs. Elizabeth Rutan-Ram said that after Holston said it would not assist in the adoption process, “I felt like I’d been punched in the gut.” She added, “And it was very hurtful that the agency seemed to think that a child would be better off in state custody than with a loving family like us.”

Utah police are investigating video showing students racially bullying Black student on school bus

A video posted publicly to Snapchat shows a group of middle school children on a Utah school bus gathering around a Black student in an apparent incident of racial bullying, Fox 13 reports.

“Black guy! Black guy, look at this," one student says as other students encircle the student, some poking him.

“Stop touching me," the student responds.

In a statement, the Alpine School District said it's investigating the incident.

"Alpine School District quickly began an investigation upon being made aware of an incident on a school bus. The District’s bullying policy and non-discrimination procedures are being followed to ensure the situation is investigated and addressed immediately. Law enforcement was contacted and has been involved in the investigation. Alpine is committed to providing a safe and secure learning environment," the statement read.

The Utah County Sheriff's Office is also working to identify the students involved.

Black law enforcement officer sues Walmart for profiling after being mistaken for serial shoplifter

A prison corrections officer in Clayton County, Georgia is suing a local Walmart after he was detained and handcuffed after being mistaken for a serial shoplifter.

Local news station WSB-TV 2 reports that Walmart security officials mistook David Conners for a man whom they'd caught on camera shoplifting at the store, and continued to detain Conners even after he showed them proof that they'd gotten the wrong person by pointing out that he has multiple tattoos on his arms, while the person in the footage did not.

"I ain’t never shoplift a day in my life," Conners told the officers repeatedly. "You got the wrong man."

In addition to pointing out the tattoos, Conners presented officers with two forms of identification, including one that revealed his job as a corrections officer.

Conners tells WSB-TV 2 that the incident made him reconsider things he believed about police officers racially profiling Black men.

"I really start thinking about a lot of things more -- I never racially profiled," he explained.

Conners also said that he could have potentially lost his job if he'd had to face criminal charges for shoplifting.

After her son was disciplined for using the n-word, a white woman deployed the word herself during a school board meeting in Michigan.

"Frankly I was shocked," Grosse Pointe Public Schools Superintendent Jon Dean told Fox 2 Detroit.

"That is certainly not appropriate language to use," noted. "It is racist, inappropriate language.

Parent Abigail Ward, a white woman married to a Black man who is raising biracial children, wished the board had done more at the time.

"I’m just concerned as a parent, that the more and more lines continue to be crossed, at what point will the board then speak up," she said.

Joseph Herd, the president of the school board, released a letter saying that, "moving forward, anyone using inappropriate language will be removed from the meeting."

This was something I was stunned to see myself. I actually was naive enough to believe we had racism beaten back, racists were a dying bred, and what racists there were knew better then to reveal their racism in polite company. And then President Obama got elected and much to my shock and horror the racism was just boiling under the surface and the second a Black man was elected president the racists just rushed to the surface to spread their racist hate. And Trump saw that as his ticket. He courted the racists to join him. Trump let his own racism shine. And he licensed and unleashed the racist to be just as racist and hate-filled as they could be and rewarded them for it. Until now racism is a major plank in the treasonous conservative/Republican party.

Which right now leaves us looking at some of the worst White Privilege since the 196o's. You cannot get more racist than trying to keep Black people from voting and at the same time demanding schools no longer teach about Slavery the Civil War and racism. That is the ultimate White privilege.

LA barbershop nails it: Electing Obama 'just really released a lot of hatred and racism'

In interviews at Tolliver's Barber Shop in South L.A., regulars agreed that the election of President Barack Obama in 2008 plunged the Republican Party into a paroxysm of anger that metastasized and led to the election of Donald Trump as the Republican Party became more unabashedly racist.

According to LA Times columnist Steve Lopez, a visit to Tolliver's Barber Shop revealed Black voters who are equally bitter, angry and dismayed as they watch the GOP try to roll back voting rights -- and they tie the genesis of the anti-democratic movement to a knee-jerk reaction to Obama becoming the first Black president.

According to owner Laurence Tolliver, he recalled that he remarked "It’s a glorious day" on the day he cast his vote for Obama but, as Lopez wrote, "More than 13 years later, that road has taken a sharp turn, back into the past."

"We haven’t yet seen a move to reinstate the poll tax. Not yet, anyway. But Joe Biden’s sound defeat of President Trump in 2020 unleashed unhinged claims that the election was stolen, and more than a dozen states have since enacted voting rules expected to suppress minority votes," the LA Times columnist wrote before adding, "Last week, I met with the Tollivers and some of the longtime customers at the barbershop. The language was as sharp as Tolliver’s shears. The tone was a bitter blend of heartbreak, rage and resignation that the nation’s most reprehensible sins may never be buried."

Tolliver explained about his vote for Obama stating, "I was just so happy for America, and I said we had finally turned the corner,” before lamenting, “And as happy as I was then, I’m just as saddened, disheartened and discouraged by the acts going on now to suppress or deny the vote.”

Filling in the blanks, his wife Bernadette chimed in, "It just really released a lot of hatred and racism.”

Reacting to a viral video of an LA teen taunting a Black basketball player by calling him “a monkey” and asking “who let him out of his chains?” in nearby Laguna Beach, barbershop regular Nate Thibodeaux pinned the blame on Trump for making racism a central element of his appeal to his rabid fans.

“Trump actually fueled the fire there. I don’t know what the answers are, but it seems like it gets worse instead of better,” he remarked.

Mike Washington added that he believes the Republican party has been hijacked, adding, "It’s become the poster boy for Jim Crow.”

Barbershop regular William Taylor offered, "Our ancestors have given too much for us to lose the right to vote,” which led to the Rev. Ron Simmons of West Angeles Church of God adding that the attempts at voter suppression will only inspire more to turn out.

“I don’t think they’re going to be able to suppress the vote,” Simmons predicted “Because of everything going on now, people will get out there and vote.”
